My husband woke to me the terrible and unbelievable news. I was in shock for a week. When I saw the impact it had on others, it was a more intense stage of grief. My mother in law was sitting on her porch swing when the mailman delivered her mail and noticed she was tearful. Looking up, she saw tears in his eyes as well. There is a reason why she connected with everyone. She had a tender heart.
My mother passed away three months before Diana. 1997 is a year never forgotten.😢🙏💐🕊🇦🇺

I woke up at 3am to watch her wedding, and again at 3am to watch her funeral. I was a little girl when she was married and I thought she was so beautiful and always followed her. Her death was so tragic and senseless, and I can still remember exactly where I was when I heard the news of the car accident, and then watched TV until they announced she’d died. I couldn’t believe it. Such a loss of a beautiful spirit. I’m glad she’s able to rest in peace and out of prying eyes in such a peaceful and quiet place.
I got and watched both!
I too got up very early to watch the Wedding, and her funeral. She was and still is inspiration to the world. It's a beautiful location, very peaceful.

I met you in April 1991, I was actually able to have quite a long chat with her, and she held my hand the whole time, especially as I was very upset as my now ‘late Mum’, had been diagnosed the previous day with breast cancer.
HRH Diana, The Princess of Wales (as she was then) was the most down to earth, most gentle of people I ever met, I will NEVR forget her, she will always be England’s Rose 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹, the People’s Princess and without a doubt Queen of My Heart, so very much loved by her family, friends, and the fans who loved her like I did.

Many vloggers done a video about it and tells that isn’t the real grave... but it’s inside a private chapel , of the spencer family near her father. I think all they want to let us believe that she’s on this small island near the lake for many security reasons and privacy.
But I think also me that she’s not there.
In case it’s the real place, it’s sad... she’s always alone. 🥀

I agree I don't think she's buried on that island either especially since brother Charles made it a tourist venue. For security reasons she'd be interred in a family vault or mausoleum.

The island does look tiny and I cant believe its deep enough for a coffin. It does add to the intruige though. I wish the video was longer, as it is now another one of my favourites.

THink she's in the vault with the other Spencers now...But her brother makes more from the public with the island...but she'd never be safe on sinking ground like that as you say.

@@adellaeltantawy9345 Diana didn't grow up there...she was only there for a few years in her teens. The Spencers lived in a house on the Sandringham estate, rented from the Queen. Diana's father didn't inherit till she was 14...but she got to play with the royal kids in the summer living there at Sandringham. That appeals to me more than that big pile Althorp...😊

I will always remember the day she was laid to rest,, the outpouring of grief was so much I decided to go into work ,it was also my birthday Saturday Sept 6,.every radio station was playing funeral music until my Foreman found an obscure AM German station playing 80s music, and listening to 99 red balloons being sung in German for the first time..

Thank you for posting this video. I know that I will eventually see Althrope and Princess Diana's grave with Harry but watching the video really made to get a glimpse into her childhood home and where she is laid to rest unlike any other video or documentary that I have seen. She was an amazing woman and an even more amazing mother...an excellent role model for us all.

There are NO winners in this tragedy. Her life was just beginning. There was no reason for Princess Diana, Dodi, and the driver to be gone in such a violent accident! They had no real reason to leave the Ritz that night; they could have stayed there in the lap of luxury. Dodi and his security made the wrong decision to go. I believe the French doctors were working hard to keep Diana alive in that Ambulance. Many countries have different facilities and equipment in their ambulances.

I met her and Charles in Bangor in 1981. We were allowed to run out of work in the afternoon to see them doing a walkabout from a distance, but went up to Bangor station later that evening and shook hands and had a little chat. She was a year younger than me and those that were not adults around that time, will have no idea what media interest she stirred up. The world was a very different place - no social media, mobile phones etc in those days. Whoever married Charles would have brought up massive interest, but the interest in Diana went off the scale. She was (arguably) the most famous person in the world at that time.

i know what you mean, the day Prince married her, we were all glued to tv and always was. i had a few Diana collectibles when i was a kid. those from the 80s like me, still watch documentaries on her, she was part of our childhood. shes so delicate and beautiful, that i just watch all the shows simply to get a glimpse of her, you are so lucky to meet her in person

I met Diana face to face near some newspaper headquarters in Kensington, London.
She was taller than I imagined.
And very sad.
I reckon I saw some tears on her face (she was going through divorce) .

I don’t think she’s buried there on her own . I think she may be buried in their family chapel with her Father & her ancestors , her brother said that he will be buried in that FAMILY chapel also so why have her on her own . I think is a place where people can come & view the statue that is on the island , maybe for the reason that the public knew she was is the chapel people would be there in all the time & the Spencer family wouldn’t want this & also a security reasons also , so I think Diana isn’t on that island all alone , if so how sad poor DIANA 😢

I don’t believe that she is buried there either. It’s a ploy by her brother to make money from her death because of who she was. He denied her request to return home to put herself back together after the divorce. He said he had too many mouths to feed and no where for her to stay. There were empty residences on the estate at the time. His. Eulogy was nothing more than posturing he didn’t keep not one of the promises he made to his sister Princess Diana.

I’ve read that she’s actually secretly buried inside a cathedral with other family members and not in that desolate island. That could be wrong, but really why wouldn’t she be laid to rest with the rest with the others instead of being there alone? Also, Althorp became a tourist destination? Diana was buried on the island in the middle of the lake. Simply so she could be left in peace. Her sons can row out there and think of their mother with no crowds of people trying to disturb them or her.
