  • Check my other video on the free software/spreadsheet I used to make this pipe and also I have the cone files if you wanted to make this exact pipe yourself.
    • Making a 2 Stroke Pipe...
In this episode I roll up some cones! I get some .050 sheet metal lasered out and roll it up to make a new pipe for the RS100 100cc.
These are the isolators I use for mounting 30x20 m8 Isolators s.click.aliexp...
You can see in my other video the calculator I used to make this pipe.
I give a few tips on how to do this for your own show some of the simple mandrels I have made up to help with making your cones round, and show how I go about welding up a 2 stroke pipe.
Bonus footage at the end, unfortunately when my high frequency start turns on, my microphone turns off.
My apologies to any welders or sheetmetal workers that view this video.
My calculations video has a zip file with all the cones I used to build this exhaust.

I love 2 stroke with single cylinder. I have one Yamaha RS100C only 3000 miles. I will restore it when I have time. Please show your bike when you done. Thanks!

Usually i use ball bering's balls the big ones. And for very large ones i use pétanques boules haha ( hard to find smooth ones without ridges) al that welded to arbors and held in the vice. Or dolly stand

To ROLL any conical in rollers.Plca a peice of steel at one end of the rollers that is too thick
to go through the gap,say 25 mm square flat bar.
Insert sheet to be rolled hard against its side and wind sheet in.
Adjust rollres so they only just grab and wind sheet through.
    tighten rollers each pass!!!
This allows sheet to twist as it goes through.
You will get a PERFECT SHAPE.
    DONE IT THOUSANDS of times!!!

How thick is your material? Your welds look perfectly functional. Prettier will come with practice and stability. You showed a clip standing up and both arms free. I noticed a big improvement when I got a stool and made a point of elbows down or firmly supported. Same thing with keeping the work piece from flopping around. If you're worrying about that, you're not concentrating on your welding. Looks really good, way better than the first pipe I made.

Thanks, I have a buddy who is always yelling at me to do the same things, prep a but more and get comfortable.
Part of it is also I have tremors in my hands so even at max stability I get less than steady welds.
The material was .050 I believe.

Far too thick .Adding a ton of unnecessary weight .

Make yoursefl a few ball mandrels. They work very good for planoshimg welds, and sections prior to weldding
