+Marek Sumguy I dunno, I just feel like if it was tig welded the quality would look 30x better and the all around structural integrity would be better as well. But I guess there's a reason he uses his method
+Andreas Kl Defiantly not cheaper. Hes Oxy Fuel welding. All it is is a torch head, hoses, 1 oxygen tank, and 1 acetylene tank. Which you can get for a couple hundred dollars vs a whole welding machine along with Argon tank, torch, hoses, etc.
jdh023 , you don't understand. Its not about superior welding its about the lost art, the look , going back in time. Obviously TIG is the choice thesedays because it is superior.
+motoxbuddy its not a lost art. your just not in the welding industry. its a big world with a lot of shit going on I could see how you could assume its a lost procedure. but frankly its not, its used where its needed. like brazing and re-fusing saw blades and countless other things. acetylene welding should not be used to weld pipe. tig would be the correct process. and it should be purge welded.
nah bro my pro circuit bike is still going strong, the nickel plating seems to be peeling in areas but other than that no reason quite yet to go out and get me a new pipe.... You have a bills pipe on your bike bro?
Good to see this experienced buffoon of a welder has a profoundly deep understanding of the importance of wearing the relevant safety clothing for his particular field of expertise. He truly is a guiding light to all upcoming safety conscious young craft engineers. I blame Bill for his slap happy approach to adherance of the most basic safety standards in such an enviroment. Might be a great product but I just hope the insurance broker doesn't happen to see this video $$$$$$$$
Best pipe that added instant power to my 125, had a PC before the bills pipe and did nothing for my bike. felt like having a standard pipe on. But when I bolted bills pipe on WOW! is all I can say..
Knock three times on the ceiling,,, twice on the pipe, means you ain’t gonna show. That funky grove tune is worth the price of admission alone. Getting jiggy with that bad boy. More development is in the pipeline.
excellent echappement !!! tester et approuver !!! idem fmf et pro circuit , aussi bon, excellente sonoriter et tres bonne puissance a tous les regimes !!!.
@Badass Skeptic Bill's Pipes are a small manufacturer. But their pipe design makes the engine work better than the others. They have the ability to get just the right diameter in just the right spot. Not everyone can do this regardless of how much money they have. I would buy Bill's Pipes any day of the week!
2Stroke Tyson and?? I still see bills pipe and that and fmf is all I run. All the times I got a bike with a PC system on it I ripped that rubbish off and put on a fmf or bills
This seems a lot more primitive than I was expecting. But it makes me want one more now. Had most of the others, but never a Bill's. Just visited the site, but I didn't see my new bike fitment listed yet.
Many people asking why they use oxy acetylene and not TIG. For this application it's better. It heats up a bigger area (HAZ) so there's reduced stress buildup and it prevents cracking. The brackets are bent roughly into shape but still need fine tuning. Having a torch handy is essential. Adding filler is easy if there a gap. There's a good reason virtually all mild steel two stroke pipes are still oxy acetylene welded.
the pipe that is blue linded like the heat lines on that. do you guys make those for 85 sence they are awsome and i need to get for Christmas. i have 2008 rm85 amd 2003 rm85 hoo much would it be to get 2 of those pipes
theres a report that a magazine did on like all the top brands and bills was known for the mid range. my yz250 would rip from down below so much sooner than the stock pipe
+jonno85uk I have one on my rm250 too. Crazy top end, but I don't enjoy it that much since I'm a woods rider. Hopefully I'll get my flywheel weight put on soon to help with that.
All the fast rm 250 s who were not sponsored were using bills pipes on their bikes because they work. FMF and PC have the cool logos and stickers but bills has the goods.
Yes that's how we learned too. Well most of us. One kid reached up to pull his goggles down with a lit torch and burned his hair and head bad straight to the hospital and stunk the work area up
I don't get why they oxy weld the pipes together instead of Tig? The only reason I can think of is having less reinforcement on the inside I guess a flatter weld
There must be a reason they are not GTAW welded. They do the same at FMF I think. (EDIT) "we are like an ugly fate chick. We have to try harder." lol this guy is my hero
Are you interested in quoting us a set of dies that will produce a 90 degree elbow that is small on one end and larger on the other for a line of our 30.5cc engines? We can supply the drawings.
Tack welding doesn't take much. It's pretty common for people (including myself) to just close their eyes while completing the tack. Tack welds are only meant to be temporary till the final welding can be completed.
its not because he's tack welding. with oxy fuel welding you don't need a full mask because it's not as bright and/also because uv rays aren't given off.
its just generally a starter bike, and those right it GENERALLY, but not always, have no idea of aftermarket parts, or how to ride, as its a starter bike.
What would happen if you put a 4 stroke pipe with i mean like no expansion chamber on a 2 stroke what would happen and what would happen if you put a 2 stroke pipe on a 4 stroke?
+Honda Cr 500. the 2strokes always have the poppimg noise thats just the motor warming up my 2stroke its an 85 even when its a 160 degess after a race it will do that its just the motor theres nothing to worry about😊
Dam I'd love to weld up those pipes and fabricate them.. I don't understand why they haven't changed over to Tig welding there exhausted there would have to be a reason maybe better weld penetration more flat and easier to control the weld puddle
Can some professional welder tell me the basics of welding, i want to weld a 4 stroke exhaust and some framework and i really need some tips and tricks and a welder recommendation
Verdi I'm pretty sure it's because when you take a piece of cold metal and join it with another cold piece of metal using localized welding is not ideal. The surface that wasn't heated to the same temperature as the welded surface will undergo a molecular change once heated in uniformity by a running engine. Thus creating areas of fatigue, eventually distortion will take place and cracks will form. Not that he is welding aluminum but welding aluminum with a torch and flux is stronger than TIG welding. You temper the joint and area around it to even hardness.
hey FMF and ProCircuit might be good pipes but seriously, i rather support a small business like these guys that actually build their products by hand and not mass produce
hallo from indonesia, borneo west kutai barat,in small villij barong tongkok,i have suzuky satria 2 stroke 1999,me make a motorcross, only thet sound not good,if like to buy how much, but dont too expensive im cannot buy, please info.me how i got 1,thank you sir,gbu
i started making pipes in the sixty,s all hand rolled and gas welded its the only way ,it neat if you are young as i have got older the welds are crapier, you cant see and your hands shake
I work at Yoshimura and this is a way different approach on making exhaust pipes from the way we do it, is definitely interesting.
Go scam somebody else you bums.
@@Steve-rz5fx The hell are you talking about?
@@nese1 they must have deleted the comments. It was people trying to rip somebody off via bitcoin scams.
@@Steve-rz5fx Oh.
With as beautiful as these pipes are, I would’ve expected them to be tig welded!! Bills always makes gorgeous pipes!!
Hands down my favorite pipes.
Why? I’m just curious, I feel like all the brands like fmf and pro circuit are the same. Along with bills.
Nathan Elliott powerband is different
as a welder, watching him weld this grinds my gears
+Christian Gonzalez Why?
+Marek Sumguy I dunno, I just feel like if it was tig welded the quality would look 30x better and the all around structural integrity would be better as well. But I guess there's a reason he uses his method
+Christian Gonzalez
Probably would be both cheaper and faster to TIG too.
+Christian Gonzalez yes the tig welds is more crack sensitive in that application
bills pipe's r top of the line to me so keep doing what you guys do!!!!!! thanks..
Still making these pipes. Awesome. Have one on a CR125 and I love it.
Best line about the company, “we’re like an ugly fat chick ...we have to try harder!”! Can’t believe he said that! 😂
Not beautiful but the best pipe I ever used. Good bottom, great mid range, and revved into a massive top end gut punch. Highly recommend it.
don't know jack about welding buts its awesome to see real craftsmanship at work.
would buy a 2 stroke just to run a pipe that is gas torch welded! Now that is a lost art!
+Antonio Romero I hear ya man!.
+Antonio Romero do it !
+Antonio Romero You obviously don't understand welding. TIG is FAR superior.
jdh023 , you don't understand. Its not about superior welding its about the lost art, the look , going back in time. Obviously TIG is the choice thesedays because it is superior.

True work of art. Wish that I could have one so bad.
easily will give bills pipe a try next time i need one
did you ever get the pipe?
nah bro my pro circuit bike is still going strong, the nickel plating seems to be peeling in areas but other than that no reason quite yet to go out and get me a new pipe.... You have a bills pipe on your bike bro?
Nope I don't think they make them for four stroke I ride a Honda crf 150r
I do know they for sure make four stroke exhaust systems but for the 150 im not sure about but check out their web page
Yeh it would be cool to have one
Gettin' jiggy wit it
Had such a laugh at you comment!!!
I think this is amazing
If you think that this is amazing u for sure need to check DOMA RACING :)

Mig weld.....
beautiful pipes!
This guy's a badass he welds without a welding mask
Great pipes, just a tip you should pressure test them 😉
Wish they'd make a few of their old ATC pipes!

Does anyone know why they don’t make a pipe for 02-04 cr250r’s
When you see how many hours it takes to make a pipe you understand why they cost so much...
que trabajo de presión 👍👍👍👍👍
beautiful
Go Check DOMA RACING OR JSV
Thumbs up for the 'ugly fat chick' reference @5.12. Haha, kudos Bills son inlaw.
so how good are this bills pipe say against the pro circuit pipes?
Joel Vela depends on the bike/year/what you want in power change. I've ran fmf,pc,bills, and they all are a little different. cr80, cr125, cr250
theres a report that a magazine did on like all the top brands and bills was known for the mid range. my yz250 would rip from down below so much sooner than the stock pipe
Got one on my rm250 that has taken a beating. Still pulls all around the rev-range. Might get the nickel pipe next time.
+jonno85uk I have one on my rm250 too. Crazy top end, but I don't enjoy it that much since I'm a woods rider. Hopefully I'll get my flywheel weight put on soon to help with that.
+blake woolam ha, I replaced mine with a gnarly. I'm a woods guy too so it was a better choice. defo needs a FWW. got a 10oz on mine.
And the funny part is this is my first bike lmao
These guys should make Goped pipes!
those are badass i want one for my 01 kx250
All the fast rm 250 s who were not sponsored were using bills pipes on their bikes because they work. FMF and PC have the cool logos and stickers but bills has the goods.
Are you guys still able to build pipes for older bikes?
I know who does that allot in Belgium and much better than they do check JSV WELDING
...sir bill can i order ur pipes..? for two stroke..? i need ur reply thankz
Go check doma they do it much better
DOMA RACING
why buff out the pipe only to but the blue heat marks back ?
What are stored or how is it the inside of the pipe can u upload a cross cut view of it
hollow its a 2 stroke expansion chamber
I’m wondering where I can get a bills silencer my used bike came with a bills pipe but FMF silencer Suzuki 250!RM 2002?
Where can I find an exhaust for Suzuki AX100?
I live in Guadalajara, Mexico.
ebay
Go check DOMA RACING it is very nice
I used to like oxy welding :). It's fun when you get good at it
Hmm, I found it rather easy, in fact that's how our welding schools started us out with, controlling the puddle was their main focus i believe.
Yes that's how we learned too. Well most of us. One kid reached up to pull his goggles down with a lit torch and burned his hair and head bad straight to the hospital and stunk the work area up
How are these pipes for the kx100?
Seeing that mig gun spackle the nameplate on about triggered me .
I don't get why they oxy weld the pipes together instead of Tig? The only reason I can think of is having less reinforcement on the inside I guess a flatter weld

Good background sound
Idk if I saw that right but he was just welding with glasses on only
Tack welding doesn't take much. It's pretty common for people (including myself) to just close their eyes while completing the tack. Tack welds are only meant to be temporary till the final welding can be completed.
its not because he's tack welding. with oxy fuel welding you don't need a full mask because it's not as bright and/also because uv rays aren't given off.
yeah sure No UV but u have another spectrum wich is alot more harmful for ur eyes
Gotta keep up that tan, even if youre stuck indoors all day
where the hell do you get the two half pieces of stampings, to begin with!
Snitchy1989 they make them , they are stamped sheet metal
Finally someone who knows what they are talking about!
ain't ever heard of these exhaust for dirt bikes b4
you also ride a ttr 125😂
So? Sure they make em for all sizes jus like FMF does.
its just generally a starter bike, and those right it GENERALLY, but not always, have no idea of aftermarket parts, or how to ride, as its a starter bike.
Would like to see someone make some Rotax Ultralight Tuned Pipes. 277UL, 377UL, 447UL, 503UL, 582UL.
I love my Dynoport pipe
Do they make a banshee exhaust??
sir, if i order 1 pipe for my 2 stroke suzuki x4...how much is the cost of your pipe..?
Hay where I can get yamaha 2000 model yz 125 same Bill's exhoust same as in the video buyolink I mean
hello do you make any sports exhaust for Yamaha rs 125 dx 1983?
DOMA RACING DOES
How about a bit of insight of how/why shapes are determined? How the jigs are made. How the flat steel is formed. Inquiring minds what to know.
I’ve got one on my yz 85
dope ass job make one for my 87 kx 250!
DOMA RACING can make it for you ! check it ou !
re-bluing the welds, seems frivolous, guess it sells pipes though.
Do you have pipes that would fit a 1989 CR250R
how I can get this one
What would happen if you put a 4 stroke pipe with i mean like no expansion chamber on a 2 stroke what would happen and what would happen if you put a 2 stroke pipe on a 4 stroke?
Puting a 2 stroke pipe on 4 stroke will just slow it down, and 4 stroke pipe on 2 stroke will just give the 2 stroke less power😊
+Kistian NE thanks for telling me will the 2 stroke still have that popping noise when its at idol
+Honda Cr 500. the 2strokes always have the poppimg noise thats just the motor warming up my 2stroke its an 85 even when its a 160 degess after a race it will do that its just the motor theres nothing to worry about😊
+Honda Cr 500 are riding a CR 500 and you dont know what a expansion chamber is good for? Poor motorcyle :(
+stonecraft98 I just ride lol
awsome 1st to comment
I had an old bills pipe on my Honda trx250r it worked really well. but, it had been around a very long time and rusted through. so I replaced it.
de que material son y con que aporte se suelda
cool
would love one them pips for my 1973 ct3 175cc yamaha pretty plz :))
ask JSV WELDING Belgium they work with DOMA RACING !
eres un bendecido bills
Wish I could buy 1 in Australia
Nickel plated

Can some professional welder tell me the basics of welding, i want to weld a 4 stroke exhaust and some framework and i really need some tips and tricks and a welder recommendation
Take it to a shop. There's your tip.
How much to build me 2 pipes from scratch
2003 cr125 , i want one !
Splatter splatter splatter, especially on the welding of that name tag at the end.... why doesn't he TIG weld these pipes?
Verdi I'm pretty sure it's because when you take a piece of cold metal and join it with another cold piece of metal using localized welding is not ideal. The surface that wasn't heated to the same temperature as the welded surface will undergo a molecular change once heated in uniformity by a running engine. Thus creating areas of fatigue, eventually distortion will take place and cracks will form. Not that he is welding aluminum but welding aluminum with a torch and flux is stronger than TIG welding. You temper the joint and area around it to even hardness.
2:12 was he welding with no mask????
+Terribilis Productions just closes his eyes 2 seconds
+Terribilis Productions Yeah he was just tacking it together. Takes two seconds. He probably just closes his eyes
hey FMF and ProCircuit might be good pipes but seriously, i rather support a small business like these guys that actually build their products by hand and not mass produce

i started making pipes in the sixty,s all hand rolled and gas welded its the only way ,it neat if you are young as i have got older the welds are crapier, you cant see and your hands shake
A lot smoother pipe than FMFs.
