I can’t imagine a man like Michael proposing to a woman who hasn’t ever met his son. He takes life seriously and wants to be sure of everything for not only his own good but also his son, so even if he hadn’t been hit with the “maybe daddy doesn’t want to see me” heartbreaking line I don’t think he would have been able to continue in the way the show progresses… he’s also just too good for this world ❤️🥺
Simple: IF Michael had stayed and made it to the final two, his son James would have come with his family. I think James' reaction to Katie would have decided whether Michael proposed marriage to Katie or not.

I think it can be done and handled well, especially if Michael is involved in planning how his son will and will not be involved. The question is will the producers be careful enough with the situation. Although, I don't think Michael will need ANY help finding love. He's the type of guy most women around his age are looking for. If they do cast him, they better not fill his group of women with 21 and 22 year olds. UGH!

I don’t believe that Michael would be the bachelor after leaving the show when he had such strong feelings for Katie because of his son. There’s no way his son can be there the whole time and I don’t think he’s ever going to want to be separated from him for that long, at least while he’s still so young.
This might be an un-popular take for the next bachelor but I got to say it. After BIP and Michelle’s season, for bachelor, they should do what they did for bachelorette years ago with Kaitlyn and Britt. Someone from Katie’s season (IMO it should be Andrew) should be vs someone from Michelle’s upcoming season. After night one, whoever gets the most votes (contestant from Katie’s season or contestant from Michelle’s season) should be the next bachelor.
Just with filming schedules, they can't really pick on of Michelle's men. Her season will have just started airing, or not even have started, when they start filming the bachelor. They'll have no idea what men audience members will like, and they'd have to spoil Michelle's season and that that man doesn't win
unless they can do the bachelor audition process in the weeks between michelle's season wrapping (rumored to be late august/early sep) and the next bachelor season filming (either late sept or early oct), i don't think the next lead is gonna be one of michelle's men. it's more likely that it's either gonna be one of clayshia's or they pull an arie and the lead is someone we haven't seen in a while.
@@christinapollard2727 That’s a good point. To keep my theory alive (selfishly), after BIP airs from August to mid September, hopefully the filming of Michelle’s season ends. Then I hope they air Michelle’s season in late September (which I don’t think has happened) and let’s say it her season ends on TV in December. After the tell all, maybe they can shoot the bachelor and it’s one from Katie’s vs one from Michelle’s and production begins in January, filming ends in a few months and it airs on TV in the spring of 2022. If Michelle’s season airs in January of 2022 (like it typically does), my theory of having two bachelors with one prevailing blows up in smoke.

I really like Andrew but I think in terms of a season as a whole, we would get a better season with Michael. The reason actually has less to do with the two men themselves and more to do with the women that would be cast. Logistically, the women competing for Michael would be older than those competing for Andrew. And while maturity and age are not exclusive to one another, the past few seasons of the Bachelor (which have been poorly received) have had a younger age demographic compared to the Bachelorette (which have generally had a cast that is both older and publicly well liked). After the past few seasons of the Bachelor being so based on drama, mean girl antics, and pettiness (not to mention seasons that lack the romance element that the show is supposed to be based on), I think a season of Michael as the Bachelor would be more successful. Not to mention the fact that his story is extremely reminiscent of Emily Maynard (who was one of my personal favorite seasons of the Bachelorette). And for those who are concerned about him leaving his son, I would again cite Maynard's season of the Bachelorette as a blueprint. She originally turned down the job of Bachelorette because she want to leave her daughter to film the show. But the producers made the accommodation for her to be able to film it in her hometown. This allowed her to stay with her daughter, while not uprooting her daughter's life by making her leave her home.
I have to agree that Katie doesn't get engaged and would you, (Blake), want to ask someone to ask to marry you if it was because you were the only one left and everyone else self eliminated? (Sorry Justin but I don't think you had a chance)

I would be very surprised if Michael became the Bachelor given the incident with James. If James can’t handle being away from him, i highly doubt Michael can handle the longer process of being the Bachelor. The only exception I can think of is if they let James stay with him but if that doesn’t happen, I highly doubt he would say yes.
Yes, agreed, OR if he is allowed to do exactly what Emily Maynard did and film the show at his hometown. If accepting the lead role means a mandatory 6-9 week leave for filming, I highly doubt he would go for it.
When Emily Manyard ( spelling ) was the Batchelorette, they did the filming out of her area so that she could be with her daughter, Dani . It worked out. If the people in charge want someone, then they will move mountains to make it work .

@@amandamac5347 honestly I don’t think he did anything that bad either. He just didn’t impress me much. I didn’t dislike him, but I wasn’t crazy about him either if that makes sense. I felt like I was wrong to not be impressed by him during the tell all though. He completely changed my indifference towards him, and he was one of the only guys that came off looking better during the tell all compared to their time on the show.
Personally I think the casting call is a red herring. They wouldn’t make it THAT obvious. I think they posted it to show off Michael A’s success story with that he did find love and it’s possible after divorce or a death of a spouse to date again. So it’s encouraging others to sign up and be like Michael!
I like this red herring theory as well as the comment below it. Encouraging people to find love once again after seeing us rooting so much for Michael and Hunter and even Zac Clark and Tayshia's success.
I doubt Michael is the next Bachelor. I think it will be Andrew, unless there are fan favorites from Michelle’s season. 1. I think the bachelor casting call saying “seeking single moms, divorcees”, etc. was because when people got to know Michael on the show, everyone said that this was the type of contestant they wanted to see moving forward. I think it’s the show trying to push that. 2. Andrew got a big Bachelor edit this whole season. From Kaitlyn saying “you will find love again” at the MTA, to the constant positive screen time he got during the season, I think he’s it. I also think about how Justin being picked over Andrew and viewers were confused... that’s probably because producers WANTED us to favor Andrew and feel that heartbreak. Which then led to the big call for Andrew as bachelor.
@@stardustmelody2709 Right, I’m referring to the show’s casting call for “bachelorettes, single mothers and divorcees.” What I meant by that is viewers have really been pushing for people with stories, like Michael’s (single dad, widower), which is why I think they specifically called for single moms and divorcees in the casting call.

I agree. Its possible Hunter made that comment, and then thought about it and decided his feelings were a bit stronger. Also, sometimes people make random comments. They took everything so seriously. Loved the bromance with some of the other guys.

I heard a girl on a podcast last night that said the same thing. They said the grandparents must have fed him that line (or production gave it to them) as a way of getting him out before hometowns. It's sad he couldn't have done it a week sooner and then Andrew would have gotten a Hometown.
The "being the Bachelor never crossed my mind" is bullshit. Everyone of them must have had at least one fleeting thought of the possibility. It's a different matter whether that was their goal in the first place or something they wanted. But everyone must have understood that if it didn't work out with the lead and they were liked enough, they may be offered the role of the next lead.
I’m sure you already figured it out but KATIE’S NAIL POLISH!!! She has been rocking a French manicure (white tips) almost all of the last half of the season, and they can be seen during her kiss with Blake (in red rockey jersey) and Greg (raining kiss hometown). BUT in the hot tub scene with Blake she is wearing bright red nail polish. This has to be a final two, possibly just final one date? Katie also has the French manicure on the giant puppet monster date with Blake, which means it happens before the hot tub date. I can’t imagine they jam packed hockey hometown, giant monster, and meeting the family all in one date. So I’m thinking French manicure hockey outfit means hometowns, French manicure giant monster means fantasy suites (?), and red nail polish hot tub is final two footage!!!

Me personally, I want Andrew for The Bachelor. I would hate to see Michael casted with a bunch of 20 somethings. I also think he’d be better off getting back to his life with James and meeting a woman in another setting now that everyone knows who he is. Though if they are going to do it I would love a season of Michael and then a season of Andrew like they’re doing with Katie and Michelle.

I totally forgot that the producers take the phones of the contestants. I cannot imagine how hard it was for Micheal to only talk to his son once a day. I thought he mentioned to Katie they let him ft his son once a day. Also did Katie seem off to anyone? I felt like she was forcing herself to smile.
Yes, I can imagine it was just a super uncomfortable situation for Katie at the MTA. It’s definitely not an easy episode for the lead seeing all the people you dumped (or left voluntarily).
Katie definitely seemed a little on edge. She was a bit looser in a few of post-show interviews with the entertainment shows. I think she's just really nervous about how the next 2 weeks are going to unfold. She obviously knows how things are going to end, but has no control over how production is going to air it and what exact clips they will be using. I'm sure she sees all the Greg stans and Blake haters and people questioning why Justin in still there to the point where she did NOT live tweet last night. She made one comment that she's just ready for it to be over so she can get on with her life. I think she's happy, but hedging it for the ugliness that is going to precede the happy ending and then the media storm that is going to follow.

I agree with your first four statement but not last one. We just watched last night eposide where Michael's son thinks his dad doesn't want to see him anymore so Michael had to leave for his son. He wants to be best father for his son. It would not make sense if Michael was bachelor because he would have to not see his son for like 8-9 weeks and his son might think his dad doesn't want to see him anymore. I wish there was other way, but I don't think there is. If Michael introduces Katie about possibly be a new mom, Michael's son might get mad because he doesn't want to replace his mom with anyone. Him and mom were close and no one can take that. This is my opinion why Michael shouldn't be a next bachelor, but I am sure Michael will find his love and a new mother for his son eventually other than becoming bachelor and not see his son for weeks.

I disagree with Michael for Bachelor, I think Andrew had a much better edit on the tell all. His talk was super sincere, and Tayshia saying "you deserve to be chosen, and you will" hmmm sounds like a hint to me. But I admit the casting call does scream Michael. Side note, I didn't like how Katie just kinda dismissed Michael, seemed cold.
I heard that he was invited to be on the show by a "scout" that saw an intervew of him talking about the loss of his wife and thought his story was perfect for the show. Tinfoil hat...Part of the deal could have been...be a contestant this season and we can package you to be the lead next season. If this was the case, he only needed to be there for a certain amout of weeks for the audiences to fall in love with him and start demanding him as bachelor. And leaving before hometowns and fantasy suites I also think he was smart enough and experienced enough to know that her connection was probably stronger and less complicated with some of the other guys (Greg and Blake). I agree with others that he needs someone that is looking for that kind of life and for living in Ohio since he's got full life there.
In my opinion after this episode Michael cannot be the bachelor because if he really was leaving for his son then bachelor will not be easy for him since he has to leave for longer
Katie didn't deserve a guy like Andrew S. She didn't even have/state a legitimate reason for letting him go yet..so she had stronger connection with Justin than After after all the great moments aired between them? BS. That whole Andrew elimination will always be sketchy to me..
They didn't show us her connection forming with Justin, doesn't mean they didn't have that evolution between them. It's how they chose to edit it so that Andrew could have a chance as the next Bachelor. You have to remember- they take like 2 months of filming and pack them into about 10 episodes. Most of ut is left on the editor's flour.

Katie also said something very interesting at the tell-all. She said something along the lines of "I wish you the best in your journey to find your next love" to Andrew. Either she thinks he will be next, wants him to be the next, or knows he is. I will be watching either way though since both guys deserve it. (Maybe we can get 2 different seasons!)
I don’t think Michael will be the bachelor as much as I would like it. The whole reason why he left was because his son needed him, so unless they allow him to bring him along I don’t think he could be away again.
They could easily let him bring his son. I believe they've done it before with a bachelorette. Clearly, James would need to be kept away from the women, but I don't think that would be too difficult.

I also question whether all 3 men complete the fantasy suite dates...in fact I read or saw somewhere that Katie's FS with Blake was part of what set Greg off and that the blow up is before Greg's FS date. And does she send Justin home before FS's too? There's a clip of her in that tan sweater with Justin and I think another in that same outfit where she's near tears. Blake being the only one left also has to be the reason we have no final rose preview footage. Why have a limo pull up and go through all that when you know who will be showing up and there's nobody left to dump? Also, if you watched Clare's season...they did a very simple, understated rose ceremony, so they could do something casual for these two as well. Both of them are casual people, so they may prefer something more intimate and out in nature.

I bet they did film every conversation. This one was shown because it was heartbreaking and important. In the end, Michael put his son first. That's what makes him such a good guy. Any good parent would have done the same. Children come first, especially a child like James who has already lost his mother. There was no other choice for him.

I don't follow anyone on social media so people may know more concretely. But now that gyms are open again in CA where they were closed during the original filming, I think Mike P. is focusing on getting his gym back up and running and that's why I think he wasn't on.
I don't ACTUALLY think this is the case but what if Katie doesn't end up with either Blake or Greg and ends up with Michael? Probably not, but they left that segment of them (at the MTA) asking Michael if he'd still consider being with Katie. Yes she said it ended how it's supposed to but all signs are pointing towards no engagement. I know in the live you said the blooper reel wasn't great, but in my opinion this was the best one in years. I feel like this is one of my favorite groups of guys. Charming, vulnerable, funny and entertaining. Tayshia's men always seemed a bit too serious to me.
I would LOVE a Michael season, but I think Michael should either focus on meeting someone in real life so he can stay with James right now or wait a few years so that James will be better able to handle his absence.

I can’t imagine a man like Michael proposing to a woman who hasn’t ever met his son. He takes life seriously and wants to be sure of everything for not only his own good but also his son, so even if he hadn’t been hit with the “maybe daddy doesn’t want to see me” heartbreaking line I don’t think he would have been able to continue in the way the show progresses… he’s also just too good for this world ❤️🥺

I don’t believe that Michael would be the bachelor after leaving the show when he had such strong feelings for Katie because of his son. There’s no way his son can be there the whole time and I don’t think he’s ever going to want to be separated from him for that long, at least while he’s still so young.
This might be an un-popular take for the next bachelor but I got to say it.
After BIP and Michelle’s season, for bachelor, they should do what they did for bachelorette years ago with Kaitlyn and Britt. Someone from Katie’s season (IMO it should be Andrew) should be vs someone from Michelle’s upcoming season. After night one, whoever gets the most votes (contestant from Katie’s season or contestant from Michelle’s season) should be the next bachelor.
Just with filming schedules, they can't really pick on of Michelle's men. Her season will have just started airing, or not even have started, when they start filming the bachelor. They'll have no idea what men audience members will like, and they'd have to spoil Michelle's season and that that man doesn't win
unless they can do the bachelor audition process in the weeks between michelle's season wrapping (rumored to be late august/early sep) and the next bachelor season filming (either late sept or early oct), i don't think the next lead is gonna be one of michelle's men. it's more likely that it's either gonna be one of clayshia's or they pull an arie and the lead is someone we haven't seen in a while.

Then I hope they air Michelle’s season in late September (which I don’t think has happened) and let’s say it her season ends on TV in December. After the tell all, maybe they can shoot the bachelor and it’s one from Katie’s vs one from Michelle’s and production begins in January, filming ends in a few months and it airs on TV in the spring of 2022. If Michelle’s season airs in January of 2022 (like it typically does), my theory of having two bachelors with one prevailing blows up in smoke.

I really like Andrew but I think in terms of a season as a whole, we would get a better season with Michael. The reason actually has less to do with the two men themselves and more to do with the women that would be cast. Logistically, the women competing for Michael would be older than those competing for Andrew. And while maturity and age are not exclusive to one another, the past few seasons of the Bachelor (which have been poorly received) have had a younger age demographic compared to the Bachelorette (which have generally had a cast that is both older and publicly well liked). After the past few seasons of the Bachelor being so based on drama, mean girl antics, and pettiness (not to mention seasons that lack the romance element that the show is supposed to be based on), I think a season of Michael as the Bachelor would be more successful. Not to mention the fact that his story is extremely reminiscent of Emily Maynard (who was one of my personal favorite seasons of the Bachelorette). And for those who are concerned about him leaving his son, I would again cite Maynard's season of the Bachelorette as a blueprint. She originally turned down the job of Bachelorette because she want to leave her daughter to film the show. But the producers made the accommodation for her to be able to film it in her hometown. This allowed her to stay with her daughter, while not uprooting her daughter's life by making her leave her home.

I would be very surprised if Michael became the Bachelor given the incident with James. If James can’t handle being away from him, i highly doubt Michael can handle the longer process of being the Bachelor. I felt like I was wrong to not be impressed by him during the tell all though. He completely changed my indifference towards him, and he was one of the only guys that came off looking better during the tell all compared to their time on the show.
Personally I think the casting call is a red herring. They wouldn’t make it THAT obvious. I think they posted it to show off Michael A’s success story with that he did find love and it’s possible after divorce or a death of a spouse to date again. So it’s encouraging others to sign up and be like Michael!
Or yet another spin off for “a second chance at love”. Jo Jo and Jordan just hosted a show with a similar concept I think.
I like this red herring theory as well as the comment below it. Encouraging people to find love once again after seeing us rooting so much for Michael and Hunter and even Zac Clark and Tayshia's success.
I doubt Michael is the next Bachelor. I think it will be Andrew, unless there are fan favorites from Michelle’s season.
1. I think the bachelor casting call saying “seeking single moms, divorcees”, etc. was because when people got to know Michael on the show, everyone said that this was the type of contestant they wanted to see moving forward. I think it’s the show trying to push that.
2. Andrew got a big Bachelor edit this whole season. From Kaitlyn saying “you will find love again” at the MTA, to the constant positive screen time he got during the season, I think he’s it. I also think about how Justin being picked over Andrew and viewers were confused... that’s probably because producers WANTED us to favor Andrew and feel that heartbreak. Which then led to the big call for Andrew as bachelor.

Yes, I can imagine it was just a super uncomfortable situation for Katie at the MTA. It’s definitely not an easy episode for the lead seeing all the people you dumped (or left voluntarily).
Katie definitely seemed a little on edge. She was a bit looser in a few of post-show interviews with the entertainment shows. I think she's just really nervous about how the next 2 weeks are going to unfold. She obviously knows how things are going to end, but has no control over how production is going to air it and what exact clips they will be using. I'm sure she sees all the Greg stans and Blake haters and people questioning why Justin in still there to the point where she did NOT live tweet last night. She made one comment that she's just ready for it to be over so she can get on with her life.

I agree with your first four statement but not last one. We just watched last night eposide where Michael's son thinks his dad doesn't want to see him anymore so Michael had to leave for his son. He wants to be best father for his son. It would not make sense if Michael was bachelor because he would have to not see his son for like 8-9 weeks and his son might think his dad doesn't want to see him anymore. I wish there was other way, but I don't think there is. If Michael introduces Katie about possibly be a new mom, Michael's son might get mad because he doesn't want to replace his mom with anyone. Him and mom were close and no one can take that. This is my opinion why Michael shouldn't be a next bachelor, but I am sure Michael will find his love and a new mother for his son eventually other than becoming bachelor and not see his son for weeks.

I disagree with Michael for Bachelor, I think Andrew had a much better edit on the tell all. His talk was super sincere, and Tayshia saying "you deserve to be chosen, and you will" hmmm sounds like a hint to me. But I admit the casting call does scream Michael.
Side note, I didn't like how Katie just kinda dismissed Michael, seemed cold.

I heard that he was invited to be on the show by a "scout" that saw an intervew of him talking about the loss of his wife and thought his story was perfect for the show. Tinfoil hat...Part of the deal could have been...be a contestant this season and we can package you to be the lead next season. If this was the case, he only needed to be there for a certain amout of weeks for the audiences to fall in love with him and start demanding him as bachelor. And leaving before hometowns and fantasy suites
I also think he was smart enough and experienced enough to know that her connection was probably stronger and less complicated with some of the other guys (Greg and Blake).
I agree with others that he needs someone that is looking for that kind of life and for living in Ohio since he's got full life there.

Katie didn't deserve a guy like Andrew S. She didn't even have/state a legitimate reason for letting him go yet..so she had stronger connection with Justin than After after all the great moments aired between them? BS. That whole Andrew elimination will always be sketchy to me..
They didn't show us her connection forming with Justin, doesn't mean they didn't have that evolution between them. It's how they chose to edit it so that Andrew could have a chance as the next Bachelor. You have to remember- they take like 2 months of filming and pack them into about 10 episodes. Most of ut is left on the editor's flour.

Also it seems that Greg maybe leaves too and she pretty much loses it. But with Michael A I really didn't see as much emotion esp as she said she saw them going all the way until the end.

I'm sorry, but it has to be Andrew. I think Michael or him will get it but I really want Andrew 2. I think Andrew is more entertaining and Michael is 2 good for this show. Katie also said something very interesting at the tell-all. She said something along the lines of "I wish you the best in your journey to find your next love" to Andrew. Either she thinks he will be next, wants him to be the next, or knows he is. I will be watching either way though since both guys deserve it. (Maybe we can get 2 different seasons!)
I don’t think Michael will be the bachelor as much as I would like it. The whole reason why he left was because his son needed him, so unless they allow him to bring him along I don’t think he could be away again.
They could easily let him bring his son. I believe they've done it before with a bachelorette. Clearly, James would need to be kept away from the women, but I don't think that would be too difficult.

@@mandyfrommars8789 I agree with you. I think that Blake is literally the last man standing. I can't think of another season where the lead's family only meets one person. I also question whether all 3 men complete the fantasy suite dates...in fact I read or saw somewhere that Katie's FS with Blake was part of what set Greg off and that the blow up is before Greg's FS date. And does she send Justin home before FS's too? There's a clip of her in that tan sweater with Justin and I think another in that same outfit where she's near tears.
Blake being the only one left also has to be the reason we have no final rose preview footage. Why have a limo pull up and go through all that when you know who will be showing up and there's nobody left to dump? Also, if you watched Clare's season...they did a very simple, understated rose ceremony, so they could do something casual for these two as well. Both of them are casual people, so they may prefer something more intimate and out in nature.
We need Michael A as our next bachelor. A mature man, some mature women - we haven't had that in tooooo long. Michael can't disappoint us. He's perfect for the job and lil James can come with him or they can film in Ohio.

But one question: did they film every conversation that Micheal A had with his son? Why did they select this conversation with his son? At the end the segment was produced and developed as a storyline. Micheal A would have stayed if he was into Katie.

I bet they did film every conversation. This one was shown because it was heartbreaking and important. In the end, Michael put his son first. That's what makes him such a good guy. Any good parent would have done the same. Children come first, especially a child like James who has already lost his mother. There was no other choice for him.

I don't follow anyone on social media so people may know more concretely. But now that gyms are open again in CA where they were closed during the original filming, I think Mike P. is focusing on getting his gym back up and running and that's why I think he wasn't on.
I don't ACTUALLY think this is the case but what if Katie doesn't end up with either Blake or Greg and ends up with Michael? Probably not, but they left that segment of them (at the MTA) asking Michael if he'd still consider being with Katie. Yes she said it ended how it's supposed to but all signs are pointing towards no engagement. So it would make sense if their relationship was so good and they keep leaving in the parts of "i saw us at the end of this" that it isn't another guy at all.

I know in the live you said the blooper reel wasn't great, but in my opinion this was the best one in years. I feel like this is one of my favorite groups of guys. Charming, vulnerable, funny and entertaining. Tayshia's men always seemed a bit too serious to me.

I would LOVE a Michael season, but I think Michael should either focus on meeting someone in real life so he can stay with James right now or wait a few years so that James will be better able to handle his absence.
