Damn that rat is a cool guy
Skrolk and his mages were so durable because 1, high MD for wizards 2, small target with low mass 3, they were attacked by the chicken and the centigors, who probably knocked them around a fair bit.
I'd also like to note that Outerregion lost a lot of valuable time trying to kill those two Eshin Sorcerers, it was a bit over 3000 gold fighting 1200. The distraction rats were very successful!
So i made a big mistake as I had around 40 winds at the end of the game. I am not super familiar with spell spamming, and i should have blue fired skrolk
But the double eshin casters caught me off guard, and distracted me. And skrolk not dying at the end was also unfortunate

At 8:57 it looks like momentum has shifted strongly in Tzeentch favor. He came back in value from like 1500 behind to over 1000 ahead and is pressuring all 3 objectives well.

I thought the same, but then the three rat units popped out of the trees on objective 1 like 10 seconds later and I knew skaven won.

The moment I saw those Eshin sorcerers in the back and then the gutter runner ambush I knew Skaven would win. COOLguy502 was really clever this game

At the point you asked, I really thought the Skaven were going to lose because they were being out-valued so hard on two of the points and the battlefield overall. If the Centigors charged into the wolf rats on the last point he might've been able to buckle them off sooner, but it was a great and close game.

skaven are def toast. so much value tied into damaging the chicken lord and hes still alive.
I for one welcome our new Ratmen overlords.
I feel like there are times where shielding/healing is overestimated. Turin or indypride say something like "with healing the scores are probs even" but in reality even if the unit received healing they just lost like 80% of their models in one big attack so it pm amounts to nothing. Same with shields, if the unit is stuck in prolonged combat it probably only had its initial barrier before getting wiped out. I will say for armies with SEU's the statement is probs true.

Shaven used to be good, unfortunately the new ability the Shorn faction got in the 5.69 patch - 5 O'Clock Shadow Warp - is really busted, so there's basically no reason to go Shaven anymore. Classic CA.

The Eshin casters' unexpected resilience might have decided this one. They took valuable time away from the Helms Deep point.

At the time of the question: I think that the Skaven are going to win, because they're playing the objective and are able to keep their opponents from playing the objective.
Post game: That's what I thought. Tying Tzeentch up so far from the objectives and for as long as they did, it didn't matter that the Skaven's units had poor value trading, because they traded in the most valuable commodity in Domination, time owning the objective. Instead of flying the chicken off to the other side of the map while letting the cav deal with the sorcerers, Outerregion tried to swarm those two. Frankly that duo was a great distraction Carnifex for this match, and Outerregion took the bait.
No blame on him though, that was such a left field sort of play that it's really only post match that we can make these calls. Who expects SEM snipers to come from your own vanguard zone, and for the cheap, single spell wizards to last as long as they did?
If the person named COOLguy doesn't win I'm rioting.
