I haven't read this series yet but from everyone I know says that this series is better to binge read. This was a great breakdown, gave me the comicstorian and comics explained feel. Looking forward to more content!
Jonathan Hickman and Marco Checchetto have single-handedly restored my faith in Spider-Man comics. Ultimate Spider-Man has been such an incredible reinvention of the Spider-Man mythos. Hickman's dialog is great and the jokes are quick and snappy and Checchetto's artwork is incredible. The guest artist, David Messina, is also incredible. BTW, this USM is an ongoing series. Hickman is doing more than 12 issues. Now, I thought having Mole Man as a member of the Sinister Six was a strange choice at first but from the way Hickman describes him controlling the underground sewers and tunnels of New York made me understand Mole Man's place.
Hey, as someone who's also a big marvel fan but not a big comic reader, I recommend watching shows because they adapt storylines from multiple series and runs into a cohesive overarching story. That's why I love Avengers :Earth's Mightiest Heroes (on Disney+ btw) because it gave me an introduction to the comic history of a lot of the Avengers' mythos that the MCU never covered. Plus, that show is also interconnected to two other great shows: Wolverine and the X-Men and Spectacular Spider-Man which you reviewed. This universe is called the Yostverse b/c of its creator Christopher Yost and I highly recommend checking it out
@@codycoxx Yeah, I never watched Wolverine and the X-men either. But there's a whole ass timline with other tie in movies too like the Hulk vs Wolverine movie, the Hulk vs Thor movie, the Thor: Tales of Asgard Movie, and there's more that people headcanon to be included like Planet Hulk, Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, and a Doctor Strange movie. It's actually wild how deep this universe goes. I love interconnected shows like this and the old 90's Marvel cartoons
Ben Reilly is not a made up name and it has to do with the story, Ben is just Ben Parker’s first name and Reilly is his deceased wife’s maiden name who was killed by the people he’s trying to expose.
Great choice! I also have been a long time marvel nerd, but rarely ever read comics. I hopped on with Ultimate Spider-Man, fell in love and collected Ultimate Invasion, Ultimate Universe, and all the Ultimate books. In particular I recommend checking out The Ultimates, and Ultimate X-Men is my personal favorite of all the new ultimate books.
@codycoxx Ultimates ties in best with USM since you see Tony interact with Pete. UXM is just fantastic. Peach Momoko's art paired with a unique perspective of teens discovering their mutant powers in a world that doesn't know what those are all told from a horror mystery perspective. It's peak.

I LOVE AEMH and Spectacular Spider-Man! I haven’t seen the Wolverine and X-Men show, but now that I know it’s the same universe I’ll have to
