Interesting choices, Catwoman especially since she isn't as much of a villain anymore. I also didn't see the Riddler pick coming either. I personally think it would be Joker, Bane, Two-Face, and the Penguin when you take a look at every piece of Batman media. Bane broke the Bat, and deserves respect on his name for it!

I think sandman and rhino(especially sandman) deserve at least an honorable mention and honestly I think sandman deserves the 4th spot,he’s classic,appears in a lot(the spectacular spider man show,is one of the most memorable from the Raimi movies,he’s in the insomniac games,etc),he’s one of the most recognizable and he’s a fan favorite (especially because of how sympathetic he is) I completely understand giving it to the lizard though

I think the beauty of marvel, comics originally and now, MCU, is stories for everyone. Some are for you and some are not. And that's ok! They can't make everything for everyone, you need to find what you like and try to enjoy the rest for what it is The comics are far more diverse in their stories and options, I enjoy them dearly for this, and the MCU movies and TV shows are adjacent treats :) Overall, a great video. I think Kingpin is the fourth person on the mountain. Not only is he one of Spider-Man’s most consistent and most challenging foes, but apart from live action, he has face the webslinger very regularly in adaptations from multiple cartoons to games. He’s also famous thanks to his appearances in live action even though he hasn’t faced Peter in live action yet (the only reason he arguably doesn’t qualify if we’re being honest)

Great video. Captain America not wanting to fight for America during World War II is an interesting take. Even African Americans wanted to fight for the country after Pearl Harbor. And they couldn’t vote, build wealth and move freely throughout the country

I think you’re missing the fact that all of the absolute stories change core aspects of the heroes’ childhood. The worlds around them are affected by simple changes in each character’s past. Your absolute avengers boil down to choices like “what if…?” episodes

It would make sense if Absolute Tony Starks’s father was the original iron man and Tony had to fill his fathers shoes and carry on his legacy but realized one iron man is not enough the carry the weight of being one of earths mightiest heroes, so he becomes Iron Legion

Jonathan Hickman and Marco Checchetto have single-handedly restored my faith in Spider-Man comics. Ultimate Spider-Man has been such an incredible reinvention of the Spider-Man mythos. Hickman's dialog is great and the jokes are quick and snappy and Checchetto's artwork is incredible. The guest artist, David Messina, is also incredible. BTW, this USM is an ongoing series. Hickman is doing more than 12 issues. Now, I thought having Mole Man as a member of the Sinister Six was a strange choice at first but from the way Hickman describes him controlling the underground sewers and tunnels of New York made me understand Mole Man's place.

Honestly, with Venom it is debatable bc he was only really a villain for like 5 years in the comics before going anti-hero and only in one Spider-Man movie. He's not far ahead of guys like Hobgoblin or even Jackal. You could even put Kingpin ahead of Venom imo. And yes, Kingpin has been in plenty kf Spoder-Man media, its only in the live action films that he hasn't really shown up but in the videogames, animation, and comics, he's a staple Its Ock and GG, then everything is up for debate

I completely disagree. First of all, to hell with popular opinion. The presidents chosen to be on mount rushmore weren't chosen because they were popular or iconic. (even though they are) They were chosen because they represent the most important events in Americas history. I'd argue the 4 most important events in Spidermans history were the Death of Gwen Stacy, Doc Oc gets two to choose from being "If This Be My Destiny" and Superior Spider-man, the introduction to the black suit and subsequently Venom, and finally Kravens Last Hunt.

I can’t lie the REAL answer is JJJ. But if we’re talking about actual villains i gotta say kraven. HE PUT THAT BOY IN THE DIRT

The Burglar, The Finisher, The Russian Red Skull are some of Peter Parker's personal enemies for taking away Uncle Ben and Peter's parents. But despite the impact of their actions they are just minor Spiderman enemies.

It would essentially be the Secret Empire Captain America, Superior Iron Man, & I'm not sure about Thor.

I think these are interesting what ifs but I feel like they’re missing the point of absolute: “the heroes are put in worse situations so they have to work harder to shine brighter” I only have ideas for 3 I think what some other potentials could be is: Tony being poor (a copy of Bruce but his money is such an important part of him I feel like it still works) Steve is born in Nazi germany (has to go against to mold of his country to fight for what he believes in) Thor is not able to show a physical form (is only able to effect change as a form of the Odin force)

this man needs to patent this idea, or make a deal with the comic book industry, idk this just needs to happen

I feel like rhino deserves the spot he’s in most games and movies and his build is so recognizable

maybe an absolute iron man could look something like oracle from batman where he has some sort of disability stopping him from activately using the iron man suits so he has to pilot them remotely with in a secret cave
