Take note: This is the most comfortable 777 on PAL's fleet. 3-3-3 economy on a 777 is far more comfortable than 3-4-3 thats why Garuda is a 5 star airline. Im hoping for a 3-3-3 config on the A350-1000s just like the A359.

RP-C7772 7773 7779 7775 which did PR126 April 18th 2023 RP-C7774 7781 7782 all have a Recaro CL6510 2-3-2 arrangement like Korean Air HL-7782 7783 7784 prestige class sleeper. 5:56 this puts RP-C7783 at disadvantage on ICN-MNL PR467/468 because HL-7782 first delivered 7202 Blackpink jet HL8010 Super M Skyteam Skyteam logojet 7783 are equipped with IFE seen on KE621/623. An easier example is HKG-MNL CX B-KQx B-HNx later builds B-KPx fleet are equipped with IFE so is TPE-MNL PR896/897 no match for BR271/272 262/261 277/278 BR Hello Kitty Jet and normal versions are equipped with IFE
They activated the IFEs recently. I saw a reel on FB of this plane with IFEs activated on Biz class It showed the Blackman family and the daughter was watching Happy Feet on the screen
Normally, this airliner with a higher-density configuration (of course, it's ex-GA) would be doing Bangkok or Vancouver from Manila and vv., but there are times to other destinations; I didn't expect this to be my plane flying to my home of the Angels last September 8th! Everyone got seat changes in turn as we expected any of the others like RP-C7773 (7772 and 7782 were already bound for Vancouver and Toronto, respectively at that time); there were passengers who got demoted from Business class due to this unexpected change of aircraft. In fact, a young woman in front of my updated assignment actually got all the three seats to herself! You haven't noticed in the Loo Review the Indonesian remnant at the mirror and Occupied/Vacant (Isi/Kosong) lock before you entered? Overall, itu pengalaman yang bagus! As of this typing, aeroLOPA hasn't updated both this and the corresponding GA seat map pages to full detail, specifics and all.

Not sure they removed the IFE Screen and just opt for BYOD entertainent.. it is a very weird thing to do 😅 and its totally not good to offer in business class
That should not be happening monitors should be working at all times I've read number of reviews on Philippine airlines that constantly have their problem with those monitors

Same but no match for the other East Asian carriers CX and JL which are 3-3-3 in Economy class while PR Fiesta Class is 3-4-3 on A35K which will make a Japanese Taiwanese and Hong Konger passenger choose PR competitor versions.
I think it's time to reconfigure PAL's 777s so that they could be the basis on what would be their cabin if they ordered the Boeing 777x (-9 to be exact).
@@HallOfMimi PAL is planning a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing with majority being Airbus. At some point they also expressed interest in Boeing 787 and 777x. The A35Ks are used for ultra-long haul with peak demand. I'm not sure weather they will order the A330-900 since the A330-300s are proven. They should also order the A320neos to replace the current A320ceos and the A220 to bridge the gap between the volume of their Airbus A320 family and the DHC-8-400 NextGen aircrafts
@@markdwighttadina7655 They already ordered 13 A350-1000’s to replace all of their 777’s since 777x is going to take a very long time to get certified to fly. 787 might be a possibility but Boeing is under fire for their planes production. The rest of their ordered A321 NEOs will be delivered by 2026~ to replace their old A321’s and the rest of the A350-900’s that they leased will be back to PAL by 2029~. They also are considering to replace their old A330-300’s whether it’s A330 NEOs or 787s. PAL is in for a good time by the 2030s.

Better try the Business Class seat of Air France 🇫🇷 when they start their MNL - Paris CDG flights in December, it's a 14hr direct nonstop flight it will be an Airbus A350-900.
I was upgraded the night before via the bidding system (this was an economy ticket). Once I saw the seat selection it shows as a 1-2-1 business class layout. All other B777 (as of now) shows as 2-3-2. Another good way to check is to cross-reference the seating layout against Aerolopa - though you’ll find this aircraft under Garuda B777 version 2.

I must agree. I hope in 1 to 2 yrs, PAL will get its Brand new A350-1000. The current PAL A350-900 is already good; better than Singapore 777-300. PAL's 777 is a so-so airplane.
Good point but the SQ 9V SWA-SNC B77W fleetor their A359s which reused A340-300 & A340-500 registrations short haul 9V-SHx have the better product and service over PR RP-C3501-RP-C3508 and RP-C7772-7782 fleet also this one PK-GID RP-C7783. If you want to compare them directly try this routing SQ25/21/23 to SQ910/918 vs PR127
I can imagine how much you paid for a Business Class seat only to find out that the IFE isn't working. I mean, if they are still transitioning it from GA, might as well offered complimentary iPad/Android Tablets to enjoy the IFE in case, you know, passengers don't have a laptop and wants a bigger than a smartphone screen.
How whack is the fact that they don't offer IFE on the IFE screens? First I thought it's so great that they finally have a good airport lounge and then the IFE screens are just hanging there, adding to the fuel burn but not entertaining the passangers. But hey, it's Philippine Airlines after all, I guess messing up is part of their DNA.

No, They changed the Business Class seat covers. The original Garuda seat colors were a patterned mocha brown color seat and they changed them to PAL's custom teal fabric that was chosen by their designer from the original fleet refurbishment. The economy class seats however were not changed. Also, Garuda let go a lot of their wide body jets because they are going through cost restructuring and reducing their fleet. They couldn't afford to keep a lot of their aircraft and PAL found an opportunity to lease this 777 as a stopgap until their new A350-1000s comes online.

You can also search Philippine Airlines & LIFT Strategic Design to see more of PAL’s original cabin redesign and see some of the articles published by airline design news sites like Runway Girl, The Design Air, Aircraft Interiors International to see what the design concept was when they were introduced. Finally, just Google searching images will show some good quality images from passengers on those planes with the identical blue/teal seats, I mentioned. 🙂

Their tv on the new 777s now works based on a reel I saw on FB by The Blackman Family.

Unfortunately only their A350s have Premium Economy. All others are in a two-class (Business and Economy) configuration.
PAL's A330s does have Premium economy as well.

Did they retain garuda's first class?
This plane originally (while in Garuda) had a two-class configuration - Business and Economy.
Prior to being in the hands of PAL, Garuda reconfigured it from three-class to two-class in 2017.

PAL has no in flight entertainment whatsoever on every plane I rode. It’s like a budget airline.
