Mark Healey experiences as much or more adrenaline when he’s bow hunting than when he’s riding some of the world’s largest waves. A professional big wave surfer, Mark regularly makes the trek to Maui to hunt axis deer, a non-native species that has no natural predators and can be environmentally destructive. Mark hunts to be self-sufficient, but also to share his harvest with family and friends, and to Mark, that’s “the last punk rock thing left.”

“The last punk rock thing” is a brilliant title. This is the kind of artistic perspective I want to see of hunting. We have to recognize what we do that is actually counter culture and market is as such.
As being anti establishment, which it truly is.
Such a breath of fresh air.

Bow hunting IS a ton of responsibility.
Being irresponsible and taking a shot that is not _guaranteed_ to drop the animal is pure selfish cruelty.
I appreciate Mark's integrity ... in all aspects of his life.
The man is a rare role model.
