So my Stella is starting, but needs a little starting fluid in the air intake to get it going, and then it will die if I don't keep it revved up. It is older gas, since last summer's end, so I do need to replace that most likely, but aside from that, anyone have any ideas. It will not start with out the extra little boost. Steps I will take for sure are: 1. Switch out the gas 2. Clean the air filter Any other ideas would be much appreciated
@@Cantinho72 between that and new gas were my first thoughts, obviously there is spark, so that part of the combustion triangle is good, or it wouldn't start, and since starting fluid makes it run, I figured it must be that air filter.
Hello, Thanks for your comment. The fourth screw is very hard to pull off. I took it out a long time and never put it on again. I do not even remember how I took it, but I think it was forcing the filter box and with a wrench on its side.
The easiest way to remove the air filter is: - With rear wheel ON the bike, loosen and disconnect the rear shock lower pivot. - Because the weight of the bike is on the wheel but the shock is now no longer connected the rear of the bike will become lower and the air box screws become all visible. - This does not work if you have the bike supported on the frame by a jack stand.
It is a mesh filter, which filters out small metal particles that come out of the engine. This filter must also be washed. If too many metallic particles appear in this filter, it is a bad sign.

The 2-stroke LML manual is different from the 4-stroke LML. In this case it is the 4-stroke maintenance.

- SF513-1524 OEM LML, no meu caso utilizei o Hiflofiltro HF167.
-Filtro gasolina SF523-0849 OEM LML.
-Junta de óleo SF514-0178 LML.

I ask a heavy guy to sit on the motorcycle. And then the screw is aligned with the hole in battery holder.
The easiest way to remove the air filter is:
- With rear wheel ON the bike, loosen and disconnect the rear shock lower pivot.
- Because the weight of the bike is on the wheel but the shock is now no longer connected the rear of the bike will become lower and the air box screws become all visible.
- This does not work if you have the bike supported on the frame by a jack stand.

Damn, I learned nothing. This is a 4stroke. 2stroke more fun and less maintenance
