Strobe is not Trance, but Prog House. I do agree with you tho.
The repetition of Deadmau5's main tune in most songs is tragic, but still beautiful. He creates this sense where the main tune is basically the same throughout, but the tune can go almost anywhere at any given point in the song. The opening of "Right this Second" is the best example i can think of.
He says it in the masterclass, creating repetitions without making it sound boring.
Travis get a repetition going and force the listener notice when you deviate from it
You make it sound like the song is simple when it really is quite complex in many ways haha
Dylan Tallchief covers a lot of the Joel tendencies in How to Deadmau5. He also has a really nice track of his own demonstrating that 'deadmau5 sound'
NIN does this really well to... you dont notice until you skip through the song and realize its the same through-out, masters!

9 years later and this still my favorite version of strobe. Amazing, amazing work.
Not even sure if you're still active but I still listen to this over 6 years later. You're amazing at this, and honestly I think your guitar solo sounds better than the original song. That's just me, I hope life is going alright for you this far down the road.

How the fuck can you get tabs for this? You expect to learn this by the musical equivalent of painting by numbers? If you want to play AC/DC or something like that, go learn tab. If you're at a level that you play by tabs, you shouldn't be learning this.

Absolutely spectacular how not to cry
I can understand that people would prefer a purely acoustic version, but adding the drum pad is almost a necessity if you want it sounding like the original, since the kick drum entering the mix completely changes which beat is perceived as the downbeat. I'ts based on Evan Duffy's piano cover, which doesn't have any drums in it, and would probably sound cool anyway, but it would certainly lack this interesting change of the perceived downbeat the original has.
Not true, adding a drum pad is not at all necessary for this song, as there is a clear change in the tempo along with the downbeat. Also, it would still sound like the original track just like the Evan Duffy cover does, even better at times. Adding a drum pad is doing no good to the otherwise good acoustic cover of this wonderful song. Maybe a brush set could do a better job, but not this. This is totally ruining a great cover.

Muy buena ejecución. Por añadir algo, a partir del 5:23 en la versión original las notas van hacia arriba y abajo, en tu versión acaba arriba y por eso quizá suena extraño la última parte.
En cualquier caso, da gusto ver una transformación tan buena de una canción así a guitarra acústica
