Not a mechanic but just fixed my check engine light with a PO441code by following the advice in this video. Bought the part for the Tundra, removed the bracket for the Tundra and then attached the new part to old bracket. Disconnected the battery to reset codes and then put about 100 mi on my 2001 Tacoma (219,000 mi). Wen't down for the emissions inspection and passed no problem. Nice guy checking me out commented how nice my truck was and how good of care I took of it. Felt kinda proud of the old girl and me too for fixing the issue. New tag just came in the mail today! 😁

I changed mine out about 3 days ago. Had to order the 2001 Tundra one. Did not make one for the Tacoma just like you said. I used needle nose pliers to pinch the new one off the bracket. Has some little raised dots that help hold it from slipping off easy. They are hidden. Only took a second once I figured it out. I am near 130 miles on mine with no check engine light. The check engine light usually comes on at about 70 miles or so. Oh yeah. The part costs me about 209.00. Got it online. Included shipping. I know it's still early to say it's fixed but just wanted to say thanks for posting your video. It was driving me crazy. Even the dealership could not fix it!! Thanks again.

Are the vapor pressure sensor and the fuel tank pressure sensors the same thing? They look the same on Rock Auto, although the vapor pressure sensor is non-existent. Rock auto calls it the fuel tank pressure sensor.

Could not get a vapor pressure sensor for my 2001 Toyota Tacoma, so I ordered one for 2001 Toyota Tundra. Anxiously awaiting delivery by UPS. Thanks for walkthrough on replacement. I'll let you know how it goes. JD

    • @donojazz

Installed part. Disconnected battery to reset system. Drove the 10 miles to the inspection facility for recheck. Connected tester - No codes but was told to drive around for about 4 days until every settles in. Apparently if you disconnected the battery, you need to drive through several driving cycles (whatever that is) until the tester can read correctly. BTW, the Tundra part came as a unique assembly. Did not have to remove from bracket. Total replacement time about 15 minutes.
