Thank you! Yeah in this case the head nod is either my relief at finally getting the take right or my surprise at how few takes it took lmao. Intervals riffs are hard, but they’re very fun to play

When they played "Still Winning" I about dropped a load in my pants honestly.." "Epitaph" was so cool to hear as well.. Not that I don't love all thr stuff...But those old tunes are just too cool to be ignored...Glad to see ya squeeze one in at the end... Nice job chief for real!
Thanks! I love the schecter, it’s awesome. I think the switch was a good move, the mayones are awesome but it seems like he has more room for creativity with schecter and the new guitar is amazing
Congrats on nailing those riffs! I can barely play Lock & Key on bass, very very very sloppy though😅 (and I still can't figure out that extreme tapping part)
Haha wish I could say I did, I have all the tab books so I just used those. I did figure out part of mnemonic by ear the day it came out tho because I was too impatient to wait for the tabs to come out 😂
@@josspeirce4714 It’s an amazing achievement regardless. Very envious of your playing, great work. I bought the AM-6 before really knowing much about Intervals and Aaron Marshall - now I’m all in. It was just a great guitar I needed to have! Unfortunately it seems almost impossible to find the tab books here in England.
@@Chris_Nouvelli Well thank you, I appreciate it! Yeah the AM-6 is amazing, I've been a huge fan of Intervals since seeing them live a few years ago and when the guitar came out I knew I had to get it. Also you should be able to find online versions of the tabs on sheethappenspublishing.com if you haven't looked there already, you can get some of the backing tracks there too.
oof How is Aarons new Signature? I havent got to play one yet but I talked to him about it at his show this year. I bugged him about getting his own Archetype soon lol.
@@vejichan Yeah the plini x pitch shifter comes in handy there so I don’t have to change string gauges like that, I will actually tune down for full covers or recording originals though
Thanks! Very true, i completely forgot about that one. I don’t listen to vantablack as often as some of his other songs but that chorus is super catchy
Usually I change the strings when actually tuning down but for this video I just used a pitch shifter. You can also change the setup to better suit drop C
is that the AM-6? how do u like it. i was gonna save for one of the mayones that he plays, but would honestly rather have his signature model. he's one of if not the biggest guitar influence i have.
It is the AM-6! I absolutely love it, it plays amazing and it sounds great. I highly recommend getting one if you're interested. He's is also releasing a USA Custom Shop model some time fairly soon I believe but it's probably gonna be a bit more expensive than the AM-6.
How is that AM-6? I read from a few person that the tremolo in some cases make weird noises when plucking the open strings :/ I would love to buy it but im hesitant because theres multiple posts about it@@josspeirce4714
Great job! I've been saying for like a decade that nobody writes parts that are more fun to play than Aaron. If I made my own list it would probably be dominated by The Shape of Colour / The Way Forward era. Heck, Leave No Stone would probably have 2 or 3 lol For me the riffs that made me fall in love were Siren Sound and the verse riff from Moment Marauder
Gotta agree, Aaron is an amazing songwriter and guitar player. It was hard to pick just 15 riffs to include lol so I tried to have an even spread across most of their albums. I debated including some riffs from a voice within, but despite Intervals being my favorite band I'm not very familiar with that album, maybe I'll have to check those out some more.
@@TheAverageGam3r Not a heavy song, but Automaton is one of my favourites for sure. Sucks that Aaron glosses over A Voice Within because the riffs are so good
Haha that’s a great point, they really don’t have any bad songs. Especially now that the new album is out I keep wanting to add songs to this list. Maybe I’ll make a part 2 some day
The nods after each take is so valid, I felt that “hell yeah” lmao great job!

Signal hill gets slept on but it's personally my top track. Love the signature model as well👍
One of my favorites as well, it definitely deserves more recognition
It’s so damn catchy!
After all my other favorites got released as singles pre-album-release, Signal Hill was a great surprise on my first listen of Circadian
So glad Momento made the list. The bit where you left off is one of my favourite riffs ever.
It’s a good one! I’m planning on doing a full cover of it at some point
The Shape of Color will forever be special.
Great takes all around!
Thanks! Yeah I love the shape of color, hands down one of my favorite albums
I love that you included Meridian! Such a sick riff. You absolutely killed these covers
So glad meridian is in your list. It's my favourite Intervals song, didn't get to see them play it any time I've seen them
Meridian sounded just too awesome!
Thanks! Had to be sure to include some old stuff
Mata Hari will always be my favorite Intervals song
It was the main song that got me into them. Couldnt stop listening to that ep when it came out
fanboying with that intervals tshirt lol. Jk I'm obsessed too. Glad you included string theory, one of my favorites
That prs is insane man
Great playing man! Leave No Stone is probably my favorite
Intervals for life brother.
Watched this twice in a row. Perfect playing and the riffs selection😍
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it 😉
How you have only 200 sum subs is mindboggaling!
You played through some of my favorite lics, intervals is bae, with ease! 🤩
Thank you!
Everyone of these is slick as hell 🤙
Very well performed! 🔥🎸
Nice!
Beautiful riffs well played!!
Keep in touch🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks!
Awesome playing mate, and that PRS is gorgeous :D
Nice interval riff... 🎸👍
Such a clean player..... got yourself another subscriber man 🤘😈🤘
Thank you! I appreciate it 🤘
Nice work Joss
Thank you!
Sick, I subbed. I saw Intervals live, and I only wish they hadn’t had the opener slot because they killed.
Totally agree, I’ve seen them a couple of times and they never fail to blow me away
Sweet axe! 😄
Awesome job. I love this guitar!!
wow, nice man! amazing video
nice one, bro
Yeah this video is awesome! You nailed it, how is the schecter and how do you feel about Aaron switching from Mayones?
Thanks! I love the schecter, it’s awesome. I think the switch was a good move, the mayones are awesome but it seems like he has more room for creativity with schecter and the new guitar is amazing
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sick covers.
Congrats on nailing those riffs! I can barely play Lock & Key on bass, very very very sloppy though😅 (and I still can't figure out that extreme tapping part)
Thank you! Yeah Jacob’s bass parts are ridiculous, especially lock & key so props for being able to play that and good luck with the tapping part!
Sounds great bro 🤘🏾
Wonderful tones my guy!
Thanks!
love it.
Great playing man!
Well done brother 👏🏻
Neurogenesis is also a really good melodic song
...Impressive ! .....(with Darth Vader voice)
Great job!!!
Sick dude👏
Thanks man!
🎉🎉 so sick bro!! 🔥🔥
Thank you!
Solid Bro wow
Amazing playing ‘my dude’ (as Aaron would say 😂)
Did you figure these out by ear?

Awesome.
What kind of guitar strings are used on Schacter guitars?
Thanks! I personally use Ernie ball slinky strings gauge 10-46, but you can use others too, that’s just what I prefer
Great list but how is sleight of hand not on this list!? I would love to see you play the ending of it, it’s euphoric!
I debated putting it on the list, it's an awesome song and I love how it transitions into meridian. Maybe I'll cover it at some point!

It's awesome! I'm really enjoying it, and I agree I'd love to see him get his own plugin at some point.
nice,, did you pitch shift to drop c from drop d for the 1st song w/ the plini x plugin?
I did! I was too lazy to tune my guitar down just for a couple of the riffs so I just went for that instead lol
@josspeirce4714 yea i notice you didnt change string gauges and they would be extremely floppy if you've the same for drop D for drop c
@@vejichan Yeah the plini x pitch shifter comes in handy there so I don’t have to change string gauges like that, I will actually tune down for full covers or recording originals though
Chorus from vantablack going u drafted is criminal, but amazing playing otherwise
Thanks! Very true, i completely forgot about that one. I don’t listen to vantablack as often as some of his other songs but that chorus is super catchy
man, you stopped RIGHT before the coolest riff aaron has ever written (Momento)... that hurt
edit: same with Mata Hari hahah
Haha yeah those riffs are sick, I might have to do some full covers of those songs so I can get those riffs in
How does a guitar take being tuned all the way down to C for learning Mnemonic?
Usually I change the strings when actually tuning down but for this video I just used a pitch shifter. You can also change the setup to better suit drop C

can i have the preset u used for tone? its insanely good
Yeah absolutely! I used a couple of different ones, I’ll link them to the video when I get the chance
thank you!!!@@josspeirce4714
I've added a comment with the links to the tones I used in the video!
Aarons riffs just crawl all around the chords man their so good, awesome job dude this was sick.
I love that description! They really do, it's amazing how good he is at writing riffs
How does Aaron remember all these riffs
Right? It’s very impressive how he can do that and how he can even come up with them in the first place
Dude is just Aaron with long hair🤣
Haha I definitely have a long way to go to get to that level but thank you so much, I really appreciate that!
This is awesome! I'm just getting into this band
Oh man you're in for a great time
Ah man just make sure you go back and listen to old intervals. Used to be so heavy

I remember you from JPGU!
Yooo I remember you that’s awesome! That was such an incredible experience
what a useless video, all intervals songs are equally eargasmic ...fr nice playin

Good stuff but its just a bit "vanilla" to me. You hit the strings so soft and theres really no "style" kinda like if you had a robot play guitar.
