Yeah that part is ridiculously hard, it took me so long to be able to play that to speed and it’s still a little shaky for me. Keep it up tho! It’s such a fun song to play once you’ve got it down

Usually I change the strings when actually tuning down but for this video I just used a pitch shifter. You can also change the setup to better suit drop C

A lot of time spent staring at tabs and playing riffs over and over again haha, it took a while but it’s a fun song so that kept me motivated

Haha that’s a great point, they really don’t have any bad songs. Especially now that the new album is out I keep wanting to add songs to this list. Maybe I’ll make a part 2 some day

Drop d usually isn’t a problem as long as I’m not using the tremolo bar, but if I am i just adjust the bridge to account for the change in string tension

I've actually been having that exact same problem. I haven't messed with it much since getting the guitar, but a friend of mine helped me with a quick setup a couple months ago and I was able to get low action without fret buzz for a little bit, but now the fret buzz is back so I've just been playing with slightly higher action than I'd like to be. I've been meaning to figure out how to fix that so if I find something that works I'll let you know!

I did! I was too lazy to tune my guitar down just for a couple of the riffs so I just went for that instead lol

@josspeirce4714 yea i notice you didnt change string gauges and they would be extremely floppy if you've the same for drop D for drop c

@@vejichan Yeah the plini x pitch shifter comes in handy there so I don’t have to change string gauges like that, I will actually tune down for full covers or recording originals though

@@TheAverageGam3r Not a heavy song, but Automaton is one of my favourites for sure. Sucks that Aaron glosses over A Voice Within because the riffs are so good
