I love seeing other peoples art journeys! I currently got a book that gives good fundamental knowledge on color and lighting, which is something I’ve been stuck on for a bit until I get more classes to train me in that regard. I find that when I compartmentalize things I want to strengthen, instead of overwhelming myself with so much I gotta learn all at once, and therefore sticking to one subject at a time, I absorb info better that way. But yeah keep it up and have fun with it!
HIII to all the artist reading this! Art is a process. Some days you might be at your “peak” other times you can barely draw a hand 😭 but at the end of the day you drew and ur art progress will benefit from it! I can’t write❤️
Your progress is amazing and you should be so proud of yourself and your journey :) I found that when I wanted to level up my work I turned to the book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards and found it really helped push me. Also there is a piece of advice I read from "The Animators Survival Kit" By Richard Williams which was something like "don't worry too much if the anatomy isn't spot on, as long as it LOOKS like it works". These two things changed my perspective and allowed me to both re-examine what I thought I knew and also taught me to have a bit more fun with what I was illustrating. I love your energy btw! Subbed :D Also don't get discouraged if you draw something that doesn't meet your standards. All artists have bad days, weeks or even months where our hands and brains decide to make us work harder. Just try to have fun and it'll work itself out.
Hi👋🏻 thanks for the video! My recommendation is to draw EVERY SINGLE DAY NO MATTER WHAT for very short amount of time like 15 minutes! And you’ll just keep on becoming more and more amazing 🫶🏻
If you were to do it again from scratch, how would you go about the journey most efficiently (timewise), now with all the knowledge you have? Also, great video!
thank you!! i’d probably set aside some time in a day to sketch or draw instead of drawing whenever i want and however long which would just make me experience burnout. i’d also use references instead of drawing from memory
constructive criticism is greatly welcomed if not encouraged 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
