Normal usage: there's throttling of cpu to control your thermals. But during updates, throttling doesn't work & your phone might rise to a high temperature where the soldering is damaged & your motherboard gets disconnected from various components like the camera, sim slot, etc. This problem is usually fixed with reballing the chipset.

I've been a Samsung m series user Exynos 9611. After the Android 12 update my phone felt a bit sluggish. And then in a few months i started observing random reboots and screen freeze though I'm not a heavy gamer just use the phone to study. I was confused and a bit stressed exams were near and this problem. I asked some people they said it's the motherboard problem it'll take around 8k to get fixed. I refused that repair and thought of somehow using it till my exams end. Surprisingly a few weeks ago the problem stopped. The phone which used to auto reboot twice or thrice a day can survive 2 weeks without a single reboot.
Software can damage any circuit phycally. By changing current polarity or short cicuit commands to the processor or other sensors or any component on device may couse physical damage to the device. Mainly its happening on karnal updates.
Samsung phones having exynos 9611 have this problem and it covered a lot of phones In the early stages Samsung provided fee repair and motherboard replacement, but now they are providing discounted repair of around Rs.2.5k My A50s also had same issue and I got it free repaired and now its working smoothly. But now I don't update it at all.

Deliberately or unintentionally, an OEM pushes an OTA update. When software becomes too much for hardware to handle, some motherboard components fail. When you go to service center, they will tell to change whole motherboard 99% of time, since its easy to do, expensive for user so gets OEM more revenue/forces user to upgrade (In some case, its actually impossible to replace the faulty component since they are soldered and are not replaceable). The problem with exynos 9611 phones is the best example of how software update fails hardware. Exynos 9611 is a very old chip and not powerful either. So when new phones are launched with old chip, new software updates become heavy for soc to handle. As a result, motherboard component fails and service center tells you to replace motherboard. But say your phone is not charging. If you go to service center, they will tell you to change entire section of charging component and charge you about 2000rs but in reality, the fault would be with the charging pin which can be fixed with just 250 in some repair shop. For eg. your touch screen is not working. Go to service center and they will tell you to change display and charge you 5000+ when the problem would be faulty touchpad under screen which costs 700-1000 in aa repair shop.
I had the same issues with my Samsung m21 few days ago ,my phone was charging and it suddenly started boot looping and it hasn't switched on from that day, I think my mother board might got damaged some how during changing.
Bro business is not that u make your customer unhappy. Slowing down the phone is something different but directly using cheap components will ultimately make the customer to loose confidence on that company like for say Xiaomi. This is a very cheap brand i would say instead of buying 2 cheap phone in consecutive years go for some other brands good phone at a bit higher price which will last for higher period. I have a nokia lumia device i bought way back then around 10years before and it is in use right now also but i bought poco x3 pro,it died two times in just 2 years. So go for good brand phones.
Actually some faults of dead motherboard can be solved by repairing just need some professional tools to repair. Some CPU might be dry sold (dead motherboard) generally it's seen in Samsung a30 a50 a50s (hang on logo). If go to repair shop there is 50% chance that it can be repaired.
My M21 had pink tint issue. I went to service center, they replaced the display. And then 1 year later it again has pink tint problem. What's wrong with Samsung??

Service center ke bahar motherboard repair kartehe ic processor change ram storage and many ic, resistance, capacitance new lagate he by small machine, by using desoldring machine, small soldiering iron by micro scope and which part not available in market or other sources then repair with old phone parts. When a faulty part of motherboard not available anywhere or any old phone then they replaced that. And user tell. What they need replacement or repair repair is more time consuming and I see many time they work in a single motherboard (some phone) repair 1-2 month and mostly smart phone repair in 1-5 days any kind of problem many times I see sevice centre phone come to repair in local because they not repair that some phone out of warranty in warranty they no phone repair tell go to service center for new phone waiting..................... They don't like Miui, and install custom rom. If one step is wrong it will softbrick or hardbrick the device.
