When you realize fairy fountain is a game over theme: yeah that’s reasonable
Here's a list for the amount of times that Fairy Fountain theme is used (at least for the amount of times I've heard it):

And then there's the ACTUAL FAIRY FOUNTAINS.
Also, notice how the Fairy Fountain theme was only added in the SNES game and then was practically overused after that point? Like, if I'm entering a random spot and I hear the fairy fountain music, I'm gonna be like, what the heck, why is the fairy fountain music playing? And then I find the other part of the structure and I find an actual fairy, and I'm like, why is it playing over the other side if the fairy's over here? bruhhh

@@alba7835 well, one person made a remix of the fairy fountain theme, but credited Nintendo, it was amazing, someone else however took it, put vocals on it, and called it their own, not giving credit to the remix maker or nintendo
And tiktok took that song, I'm suprised Nintendo hasn't struck anything of it down yet, knowing them
Out of the three games that I have played, I have only seen one game over screen: Breath of the Wild (about a million times)
Edit: Out of all of these, there is one that I could listen to constantly, and not get annoyed. That being Spirit Tracks.

I own a lot more, but I have the option to play eight. I have played five of them as of today and I don't really want to play three of them. I have played Skyward Sword, Wind Waker HD, The Minish Cap, Link's Awakening Switch Remake, and Breath of the Wild. And now, two weeks later, I have seen three of the game over screens: SS, LA, and BotW.
For me it was tri force heroes, loved that game

me and my older brother used to say when we were kids that the phantom hourglass and spirit tracks game overs made it sound emotional and we still joke about it to this day!

Four Swords Adventure is hands down my favorite game over song of ALL TIME. It helped me cure my fatal heart diseases, and made me enjoy the beauties of like and nature itself

These are the most beautiful game overs I’ve ever heard.
Minish Cap's is the most underrated one imo. It's the freaking Prologue theme of ALttP. If you never really went through the original Zelda, AlttP, the Oracle games or either Four Swords or FSA, you'd lose a lot of what makes Minish Cap so amazing. It was the amalgamation of all Zelda games when it came back, calling back to and referencing every single one somehow.
Tiny nitpick: Four Swords came after The Minish Cap, so it was probably a little bit of an amalgamation of The Minish Cap and its art style along with the previous titles to a lesser extent. Four Swords Adventures was four swords again with a proper story and improvements everywhere.
But, yeah, I agree with you 100%. I played The Minish Cap before any of the other 2D games. It was still magical the first time through, but after I’d played the other 2D titles and replayed The Minish Cap, I think I filled 7 straight pages in my sketchbook of LoZ stuff.
@@leveretmemer I thought ALttP & FS came first? I got that one in 2003 and Minish Cap only came out in 2004. Nevertheless, glad to know someone also loves this game, truly one of the most underrated in the Zelda franchise imo.
Oh, I was wrong. The release timeline I was using was incorrect after a bit more research, ALttP+FS was 2002, FSA was March 2004, and Minish Cap was Nov 2004. Along with seeing any elements of previous games when playing, you can see improvement in video game development and technology, which is also great. More people should play Minish Cap though, it truly is one of the most if not the most underrated Zelda game.

I like how the twilight princess one (to my knowledge) has the only game over theme that makes it feel like your death acutally meant something and had an impact.

Man out of all these, minus Skyward Sword, Spirit Tracks and Triforce Heroes as I've never played any of them (and Four Swords that came with the LttP GBA but since that was multiplayer only, that couldn't be helped), the game over themes I remember most are Link's Awakening (I was really young when playing this and was not very good at dodging attacks) and the Oracle games (the final bosses' final forms were HARD to beat at the time not to mention the secret final boss was a bit of pain too especially when he reverses your controls. Of the two Link's Awakening is saddest since it's a slow sad version of Ballad of the Wind Fish.
Twilight Princess is my favorite of these.
