Actually I think this is a fairly accurate description of the Korean battlefields. Maybe the chopper over the ice scene is a bit too dramatic but in that situation other than playing dead can any of you laughing think of a better option? The rest of the video clearly shows the absolute fire power dominance of the US Army. The end result of the Korean War was that the US signed the Korean Armistice Agreement without winning the war. Given the fire power dominance on the US side, you have to believe that the Chinese side had something to counter to make the signatures from both sides possible. This film tries to show viewers that. Unfortunately most people chose to laugh and ignore.

That was their weakness .... they could hold their own at a distance...though they did suffer way more casualties due to superior American firepower. You can always tell a Chinese movie by the amount of unrealistic BS they had. After the war, the CCP painted the war as a great Chinese victory even though it was the Korean war .... but the reality was...over 400,000 Chinese soldiers perished in that war compared to 23,000 American and allied soldiers. And they didn't take south Korea even after all that. A resounding loss and humiliation for invading PLA forces. it was a slaughter by any other words. The CCP had always hidden that from their people...same as PLA losses when they invaded and got kicked out of Vietnam in 1989. China is no better than America..it has always invaded others with one excuse or another...all at the cost of their peoples lives.

The Chinese had to get into the fight. The area next to North Korea had a big power plant that feeds a large area of population. If N Korea fails, China would too. And that is not acceptable for the Chinese after a 100 years of humiliation. Finally a right to self determination.
