    Good honest review. I have a Mark 2 unit. I’m a car camper as well. We got ours at the end of last week. We cooled down our van first by running it for 15 minutes w the air on, then turned the engine off and turned on the mark 2. I stayed really comfortable in there with my wife and dog for a couple hours when the outside temp was in the high 80s. We did have a USB rechargeable fan on to help circulate the air which helped a lot. So far it passes the test.

      That's a good way to do it. Starting with a cooler space and then using it to 'maintain' will probably be right in its wheel house

    Thanks for your sharing! Boyfriend and I looked for months, we are in the process of purchasing an RTT and going to be overland traveling about 6000 or more miles. I think that’s enough for me, 1500 investment on the AC unit is really a nice choice… I can’t stand the heat and humidity.

    This is the best, most concise review out there. You touched all the key points! I have been hovering over the “buy it now” button for days, but I think I will hold off. It pains me to pay so much for something like this as much as I want AC that is capable of running without shore power. I think the main problem is that this is such a unique unit which in reality is very simple mechanically. However the size of the components means that they can charge a premium. It’s a niche market. Until they can make this in the $400 range I can’t stomach the price.

    Great review! I'm glad you mentioned about how the way you park is helpful with temperature control.

      Thanks! Yeah when working with less power, parking direction has been my biggest factor for temp management

    I'm using it freestanding without venting in my van as I rip out and rebuild. In 100+ heat. Just blowing on one person. It makes a HUGE difference for me. It completely cools the fixed bed area in the back with a curtain up. BUT, if I precool the whole van with the window covers up, it does keep the whole van (small) cool.

    I did compare the Mark 2 with the Wave and I found out that the latter is more powerful at around 4000BTUs.

      I bought the ecoflow, but it's 50 lbs with batteries and kind of regret it.

    Thank you!! This was super helpful, we're trying to figure out if we really need an A/C or not and have been looking into the Zeero Breeze. Also, Echo's little ears popping up behind you was the cutest thing ever

    Nice small AC unit with the powerbanks, not seen that before👍

    I expect for $1500 that an AC unit can cool down a 150 sq ft space. My kids got one for a few hundred. One unit, one exhaust, 300 -400 sq ft space. Nice and cool all around and that's with Desert sun blazing down on the windows in the heat of the summer. It's by GE.

      @BibiaBus  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the full $1500 price, a large chunk of what you're paying for is the battery capabilities. Grid tied units are way cheaper for sure but when you're working with power systems in small rigs, sometimes they can't power a grid tied unit for extended periods.

    If Echo is comfortable, then it's worth it lol As long as the kids are happy xD

    Thank you, I plan to buy one for my wife, hoping to cool down in a small space at night. Now it is a window air conditioner, which is very inconvenient.

    I wonder if it would cool a smaller space pretty well tho

    So what I hear you saying in this one is, if I have a large shed with a meth lab in the corner and a snazzy outhouse next to it, I can't really expect this battery operated A/C to do much for me to cool it all down?? Glad I didn't go spending all my money on that thing! So any ideas how I might be able to cool my just described space?? Your instructional vids are the best, I would totally follow whatever you think would work for me.
    BTW, Stefaan, great review of the Zero Breeze. Funny how expectations and product don't always match up, as well as intended use and actual use, and the varied performance.

      HA! yeah I think that's the biggest key is the intended us and relative context...when people don't take that into account then things get all types of off

    I have a 120 sq ft boat, 6.2 foot ceiling in part, the rest 3 foot ceiling (bedrooms) - I am needing something to cool the space. its can be 80s and 90s in the boat. We have numerous fans but they only do so much. i would love a 20 degree drop + fans. Looking at this unit and the ecoflow wave which is 4000 btu - thoughts? obviously energy and space are considerations. the ecoflow i would use with the delta max which would take huge space....but give me 4000btus plus a battery backup....this would take half the space and no battery backup but half the btus....

    I need a portable air conditioner that I can charge and use when I am out camping, sad to say I can't charge the Mark 2 using solar panels.

    Maybe, just maybe the Ecoflow Wave can work in your setup.

    For the price not so good, for 700 more the roof top 12 volt seems a better choice, we are trying to figure out what to do with our 27 travel trailer, solar n such … lots of research to do

    • @Praxis444
      @Praxis444 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your Complicated Setup in this VIDEO would work, you'd just need to Add a 12 volt vent fan(they make ready to install solar powered ones with batteries too), they are commonly used to help central air conditioners extend their reach to distant parts of houses(and they don't require you to lose out on having your floor space and all that installation work) If you feel like it, try it out once more!! Rooting for ya.

    Useless review lol, you label it as a 1yr review but only maybe used it for 3 months and did so in a super limited scenario
