Oh my god! This is the greatest performance of Moonlight Sonata ever. Kissin has the "Fingers of Death". He is truly the greatest pianist who ever lived.
Actually the 1st part is probably equally as difficult as the 3rd in terms of phrasing and sound quality, so just because all beginners play it doesn't mean they play it right or that it's easy 😊
The first part is not easy. Yes, it is adagio but to make it sound dreamy requires skill and control of the keys. The third movement is not even that difficult. And only noob doesn’t know the second movement. 😅
Kissin is a classic virtuoso! I posted a new video providing a scientific explanation for the circumstances that enabled Beethoven to have a massive increase his capacity to process variables between Symphony #2 and Symphony #3. This is what made him the greatest composer. Check it out.
The guy is a great pianist. BUT,, Horowitz, Rubenstein, Yuja Wang and other greats never flailed their torsos around like drunks trying to walk.. It's just so distracting.
Glenn Glould. Both, Kissin and Gould, are incredible pianists, one with an unique way of bringing all of a piece, the other bringing something different.
He is a piano genius
He is so talented🤧, plays with such emotion.😢
I’ve heard so many interpretations of this piece, too fast, too slow, but this… this is perfect
I have not heard moonlight played so well. He is perhaps one of the so few who has the technical capabilities to execute the emotional expressions.
Otro es Arrau, pianista chileno
@@chilenazo1962 Nah
Valentina Lisita
There is the "FEELING" in his Play.....I Love Him
This guy is the best Pianist ever exist
Yes
i'm better
Oh come on. He didn't compose anything great and you're calling him the GOAT.
@@patrykltr Don't you know the difference between Pianist and Composer?
Liszt

Even Beethoven himself would have been amazed by this most intense performance where every note is played with so much passion.
how do you know?
@@heizoumain8132
@@heizoumain8132exactly. Beethoven would've laughed at it since he was a prodigy himself

Nobody can play like him

Puts you in a trance each & everytime
Kissin atingiu o nível mais alto. Só ouvir.
Magnifique interprétation..!! - Pianiste Fabuleux..
The best version I've never heard .
THIS is how Beethoven intended the first movement to be played.
This is the best sonata 14
I am learning this Sonata 14 from Beethoven. E; Kissin is a wonderful pianist with all the suffering of humanity on his shoulders. Thank you.
Incredible 3rd movement!!

Yes your right he is the best❤
Enjoy the moment, why compare!
and this is where the angels dwell..
the 1st part is easy, all beginners play it; the 3d is virtuoso pianists show off; the 2d part nobody knows existing😊

I think the opposite: find a good play of the 1st part is so hard!

The first part is incredibly difficult to play well. Most play it like a car crash. Not Kissin.
Quería maravillosa sensibilidad que profunda Musicalidad.Un enorme placer escucharlo llll
Me encanta❤
MEGA: Watts & Kissin versions: MEGA
Perfection
Bravo ❤️
Is this the finest pianist alive. In my view yes. If the good Lord allows me the time on earth to hear better he or she will be something else. H
I mean when Karajan enthusiastically wants to conduct you, as a fledgling talent, that speaks volumes!!!!

How about that guy who kept humming while playing the piano?
Glenn Glould. Both, Kissin and Gould, are incredible pianists, one with an unique way of bringing all of a piece, the other bringing something different.
It's music. You listen to it, you don't watch it, lol.
Stupenda sonata e stupenda esecuzione.
Grande Kissin.
Ottimo post.
