I like his playing when he was younger than now because now he plays in such a serious tense way (you can even see it in his facial expression now).. Before he was more relaxed and natural even with the wrong notes which makes it even more free and natural.

The music of Faso is an inexhaustible source of sweetness. It allows us to plunge deep inside ourselves and at the same time resonate with our fellow man, Yé Lassina Coulibaly❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Even at this age, I suspect Evgeny must have a wonderful sense of humor. He's seems so fearless. He sees right through the bluff and bluster of Liszt. I also suspect he plays Schubert better than Schubert. His Chopin is both intimate and highly seductive. I wonder who were his artistic heroes? And I bet his teachers are still pissing themselves with pride. Wow. "His star has risen in the east." N.T.

I think he played better when Anna Kantor was still around. She could really pull the best out of Kissin’s genius and technique. His hands move in a much more efficient way today though.

Magnifique gamin poétique jusqu'au bout des doigts et sans relâche jusqu'à ses 25 ans...et puis après...la déliquescence, hélas. Tant d'effondrements nerveux chez ces grands artistes,
I'm assuming that he improvised it on the spot. There's another recording of Kissin playing it from a similar time period and there are differences between the two. There is also no doubt that he has the ability to improvise this.
I don't know what's going on Kissin, but he's rocking back and forth constantly, exhibits head tics and I keep wondering if he's having trouble keeping awake and focusing on what he's playing.
He might suffer from some wrist stiffness or maybe tendonitis / carpal tunnel, because I see him quickly supinate his wrist to maybe relieve whatever tension, irritation or pain he might be feeling in that hand.
@@JohnSmith-he2pghe’s been doing that wrist thing for years, it’s to prevent the build up of tension. Doesn’t mean his in pain or else he wouldn’t be playing concerts year after year without taking a sabbatical. He’s only had one injury in his whole career and that was his shoulder which he took a few months off for. He has neurological tics
For a much better reading of the Liszt, listen to Perahia. Notice how Perahia’s playing is much lighter and more elegant.also, the Chopin Sonata was so loudly played I couldn’t hear the music. Surely he should consider Chopin’s piano and aesthetic more. Kissin’S playing was deafening most of the time. Almost unbearable. He got much better with age.
Kissin’s Chopin’s piano sonata was amazing. By contrast I heard Stephen Hough play it live recently and he absolutely massacred it. Felt like he was trying to break a string. The rest of the recital was amazing though.
