The lack of any sort of updates on AC2 (or even an official announcement) is really disappointing
AC2 is what I'm waiting for with baited breath.
I'd rather them wait until they know the game is in good shape before officially revealing it. Plenty of new games coming out over the next 6 months or so in the meantime. Hopefully the 2024 date sticks, but won't be surprised if it ends up in 2025

@@scottpolston6137 is this a joke? That game is meant to be played with a controller, not sure devs even bothered to try it with a wheel since the steering ratio is locked
I've always loved cars, but Forza 3 got me into sim racing. So even though Forza isn't the most high fidelity simulation, I really respect it as a stepping stone to show people the fun of driving who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity
I think this is an absolutely underrated background for so many of us simracers, which is why I often can´t agree with all the discussion/hate regarding simcade etc.
I started GrandPrix back in the days but my competitive start was NFSU actually. ANd then I wanted more realistic races and found Live For Speed. We need those titles to create a lower entry barrier to our hobby, so that more people can find the joy in it! - Rene
Hey man, you forgot Assetto Corsa 2 which should come spring/summer 2024. Definitely the most anticipated game for most. The original AC is just legendary.

I would not get too hyped for AC2, it's not really the same group that made AC1. It will probably be more of a successor to ACC.

@@1978nerve the only people pushing 2D are TH-camrs who can’t easily live stream in VR and the content doesn’t look as smooth to watch. Racing in 2D feels like playing a 1990s game now. VR is truly the next Gen we’ve all been waiting for.

Psvr2 is a requirement for me now, after playing GT7 on VR, going back to a flat screen feels completely wrong. Was really hoping F1 23 was going to support it, but sadly not :/
It's true! PSVR2 and GT7 is a great combination and I don't enjoy racing on a flat screen anymore.

WRC is my most wanted. GT3 racing is getting a bit played out now. As a console player I'm really hoping for an IndyCar or Nascar game to change things up.

I'm mostly excited about LM Ultimate (cautiously optimistic), and AC2 (next year). I'll have to upgrade my gpu.

For me depends on the perf of ea rally. My I5 9600K and RX 580 are the advertised minimum specs

@@Traumglanzi personally want more endurance racing, something ac lacks unfortunately, i would still get ac2 regardless
don't be excited for Rennsport too much. I tested beta few weeks ago and uninstalled it after 30 minutes. The driving feels utterly terrible, absolutely no sense of grip, completely floaty, no connection to the asphalt. Just terrible. I doubt they will improve the physics that much until release version. I hope I'm wrong.
@@Pe11ePD yeah, i tried the beta a few days ago after I got the key but wasnt much impressed. No ffb, controls where the same as ACC, it was like a cheap copy. Ill see how it is after the release but overall im not as exited as I was before I tried the beta.
That Le Mans game is not coming out anytime soon, Motorsports Games is a fraudulent company. They canceled NASCAR 22 and NASCAR 23, and the IndyCar game was supposed to come out this year.
Hey if anyone is curious the new WRC sim coming out on EA, if you are a EA Play Pro subscriber you get to play the game early on 30 October 2023! It is also free if you're a subscriber so not technically free at $15 a month but for the amount of games you get free like F1 23, Madden, Battlefield games etc. it is well worth it imo
There's a bunch to say about all these games but I'll try to keep it brief. What happened to GTR3? Who the hell is this Stephen guy that stole the Game Design Director's Austin O.'s video about the AI commentators and crew chief for GT Revival? And man I really really doubt that Rennsport is going to comeout anytime soon. Good video haha. EDIT: Also yeah as another guy said the most exciting one coming out hopefully next year has to be Assetto Corsa 2, gotta include that for sure.

VR is a must! People cant go back to 2D racing after racing in VR with a good sim setup. They can release Grand turismo 7 today for PC and if it didnt have VR support not touching it.

I am the most excited for the IndyCar game, I'm just not sure if it's even going to happen unfortunately. I'm also excited for Le Mans Ultimate. I really hope both of these games release in the next year.
The IndyCar game would have been very interesting altho I have to admit I was mostly looking forward to the BTCC game .. really sad. - Rene
@@OverTake_gg Yeah that was another game that I was looking forward to as well, so seeing that get pushed back wasn't fun. I'm hoping we get both games in 2024! I'm also on console, so hoping Le Mans Ultimate gets released on that as soon as possible.

i honestly dont understand why a studio would make a racing sim and not make it vr compatible out of the gate, so many people play exclusively in vr to get the immersion. Personnally i'm really eager to play wrc, but i will wait until vr is supported and works well before spending the money. too many good sim or arcade titles coming out that i can really just choose the ones i fully like

@@JonasRosenven have also heard great things about rally mods in assetto corsa, though i haven't yet gotten a taste of that. currently i enjoy a bit of dirt rally 2.0, the driving in vr is good enough to be enjoyable but the menu's are a mess, also some weird resizing of the resolution and aspect ratio since my main monitor is a super ultrawide 32/9, so the menu's are all compressed horizontally. changing the res does not fix this...
No psvr2 no play . Flat screen sux after playing VR for 6 months. Iam not buying wrc I'll stick to gt7 .

RF2 may have loading issues and may be complicated But nothing beats the field Avendi cards, 1990 at Sebring talk about challenging. RF 2 once you’ve got it dialled in Is super challenging. And that’s what racing should be all about challenging
Rennsport really came in like a wrecking ball. Getting picked up by ESL as the main simracing title must have cost a ton. It is a double edged sword. They get huge publicity but the game does not look great at all. Neither the physics nor the graphics. If they delay the full release for long this will be a downfall. They built up so much anticipation so if they just blueball the audience the majority will lose interest and even if they release the most amazing thing after all it will be hard to recover from that situation.
I guess they just need to launch a good enough plateform the modders can built on. If the physics can be tweeked further down the line, it could potentially be what AC is, except with a less "fiddly" interface to work with.
Lemans ultimate is that rf2 mod that motorsports games are trying to sell ?

From the words of Turn 10, I expect Forza MS to be better than iRacing.
I'm holding off on the WRC game until VR releases. I can't wait.
My whole sim racing setup is adjusted for VR. I never would buy a sim racing title anymore which doesn't support VR. Then, I rather stick to older titles.
If LM Ultimate is released on PS, that might make me buy the PS5.
Sim racing is getting even more exciting! Rennsport, FM, WRC, LMU! Or... just stick to iRacing or ACC XD
I'm most excited to hear about Forza Motorsport. My biggest hope is the multiplayer is populated enough much like GT7.
It should most likely be populated, since FM7 is still somewhat played, even thought no new players can join it since its no longer available to be bought due to licences
I definitely will be very populated, it's so hyped up so a lot of players from arcade racing to potentially sim racing will try it out. It automatically has a big boost because a lot of fh5 players will want to try it.
FMS 8 is dying already due to its ship~t release.
i think you forgot to add Assetto Corsa 2 in the mix as well. it would be in my top 5

My favorite ACC but I hate the VR performance! Imagine a game runs in VR like AC but drives like ACC
I know that I am almost definitely in the minority - but no VR = No sale (until VR support added)
Ive said for years that commentary would really add something to racing games.
The early F1 games on the PS1 had some dialogue from Murray Walker and Martin Brundel throughout the race.
I'm looking forward to Forza, it might not be a hardcore sim but if its fun to play ill certainly be playing it because I'd rather have fun than stress over realism anyday.

GT Revival does it use the Project Cars 2 graphics engine?
RF 2 is amazing It’s a shame you haven’t taken to it. Sebring is spectacular In RF 2 And once you’ve got it dialled in my computer slow time has diminished substantially. But I do have 4000 hours invested so I do know what I’m doing an RF 2. Hard-pressed to find physics that match it in any other game
Wrc game funs have great times ahead to actually learn driving.

I think GT7 and Assetto corsa still the top of the sim game, but good luck to other developers.

WRC and Le Mans Ultimate are the most exciting ones for me. Forza looks stunning, but I am not sure if it can deliver what I want from a racing sim. Rennsport looks good, yes, but it feels too similar to ACC.. don't need more GT3-focused games, altough they have shown more cars now. GTR Revival still is too far away..

GTR2 doesnt need to be revived because its modding community has kept it alive thank you very much..

WRC not having VR support is a huge disappointment and a total deal breaker for me, I have become so accustomed to VR racing that I can no longer play them on a screen.
le mans will be nice to play as hypercars.

My guess is that 2024 will also see the release of the Early Access of Assetto Corsa 2.
The no VR support is disappointing as is no head tracking. That’s been annoying in forza, I use it in other racing games, and while not a necessity it’s great for looking in to corners, something you don’t get without head tracking and VR
If new Forza doesn't drop the BS always online for SP progression i'm out, sadly...

GT Revival sounds promising, in theory. I'm a huge fan of certain aspects of Project Cars but the physics needed a lot of work. I hope it delivers. All of these games look pretty killer though...

If WRC does not have shopping cart based physics like dirt rally 2 I may give it a try. But based on all that I know so far I have to suspect that physics will be a weak point for WRC. I hope I'm wrong.

Why has the house on the top of radillon in every game never been changed to the grand stands like IRL?
most games still use/bought an old laserscan (which often includes the buildings around it). If my info is correct that the track now demands new scans with new releases (as in Spa), there is hope in the future tho. - Rene
