What is that loading mechanism called? That's such a simple, but ingenious design. Are there any improvements upon it? I saw that Forgotten Weapons that had a breech loading Belgian Percussion Wall Gun that had a similar loading mechanism.
I've seen smaller ones in the Grandmaster's Palace in Malta. The order was loaded at that point and had loads of cool stuff, I even saw a wheel lock rifle with a folding stock.
If you could make this in a longer barrel that's slightly tuned and in "golf ball" size then you'd have a sale from me. Why? It is perfect for WWII and because it's a muzzle loader (16th century design) then there is no problems with Gun Laws.
Canada dry is one of the most effective armor piercing rounds out there
Yes
And whiteclaw is the best he
I love that you do this
Me too!
A small torch to light those fuses would be a huge improvement.
Sort of a Knee mortar in a way
A smaller 20mm rifled version would be neat as hell.

Very nice, have you thought of using square stock for the breech blocks? and how about a percussion cap firing instead of fuse?
I updated the design to a rectangular breech plate.
@@morecannonfabHow did you make it? Was it hand hammered forged? Did you mill the breech area to get a tight seal. It looks pretty tight.
Good Job, Dom! Are you making these for sale? Looks and fires beautifully! (BoomLover)
I hope we can buy them!
Jim, I will be making smaller bore models of this design. Thanks for the compliment.

Aluminium foil is prevents premature detonation from static charge or stray embers, unlike fabric wraps or plastics.
