How to Make a Quad-Barrel Air Cannon

- You've seen the demo, now learn how to make your very own semi-auto or full-auto R0M4 quad-barrel air cannon!
Welcome back recruit! Major Sergeant Private Major here again, ready to help you create your very own multi-barrel pneumatic launcher! I'll go over the version from the demo video, as well as several others that we've created so that anyone can build their own ROM4. No soldering or coding experience? No problem! We've included a design that uses simple buttons and wire nuts.

*** DISCLAIMER ***: As mentioned in the video, PVC IS NOT DESIGNED TO HOLD PRESSURIZED AIR. When PVC fails, it fails catastrophically (ie. it explodes). This can cause serious injury or death. I do not claim that building a cannon like mine (even by following my directions exactly) will mean you are safe using it. THERE IS NO WAY TO MAKE PVC 100% SAFE WHEN IT IS PRESSURIZED WITH AIR. Isn't it ridiculous? I had no idea it would have that weird honk while making it. The sound specifically has been one of the more popular features.
Those headphones are great. I love that I can listen to music while operating loud machinery.
Aren't they the best? The one complaint I had was the earcups sort of crush permanently over time, reducing the cushioning, but I solved that by getting a set of the gel replacements.

everything about this was great, especially the wiring schematic step by step. great for understanding layout
I had fun making that, glad it was easily understandable. Did the zoom view showing how to differentiate the plug leads make sense too? It was the main part I was concerned wouldn't be as easy to follow.

I want to see it when it's done, post a video and let me know when it's up! Definitely a lot of potential to modify the look in particular. Someone with more artistic experience could make all kinds of designs on top of the base launcher.

Sir, when you were testing the barrels, it is actually a pipe as of a pipe organ! Set them different in length and line them up in a order and you can play music!

I appreciate that. A number of my videos are not really "searchable", like who's typing in "quad-barrel air cannon", you know? But I still want to make it. Clickbait is an interesting one. If you're delivering on your promise, is it clickbait? I want to be truthful with what I'm creating, but I do agree there are likely better titles I could come up with that would be more searchable despite the non-standard projects I intend to make. I'm playing around with that now. I switched the demo from "Quad-Barrel Air Cannon: The ULTIMATE PVC Launcher" to Quad-Barrel Air Cannon Helps Me Make Pasta Sauce". Both work, I just felt the second one is more of an interesting/unique title that fits the project and delivers right away. I wouldn't consider it clickbait, I just think it's better. We'll see if it helps!

Was that warning about not touching the wires when the battery is turned on serious?
Seeing as my build guides cater to newer makers, I like to add in standard good practices as advice. With the low power I'm using, perhaps it's overkill, but if this warning reminds someone not to touch/build something that creates exposed mains power then I may have saved a life. To me that's worth the overly cautious callout.
Why not short press for single shot, long press for multiple shots?
You certainly could! In the demo video, I show how the Nunchuk I used to control my cannon does just that. I kept the code simple for this build so people could understand it easily, however with a few additions of "millis()" in the code this can be done.
