It’s almost chilling to see that Senna rushed to the scene of Roland’s fatal crash less than 24 hours before experiencing his own… And Comas rushing to the scene of the crash, much like Senna had done for Roland

Isn't that ironic that on one side he could be a driver that would literally cause a crash just to win and at the same time give up a race to try to save a driver. He had those 2 sides in him. And if you think about it, how it was the drive to be the best that actually killed the man.

Apparently that wasn’t Comas trying to intervene but a cock-up. Larousse had not noticed Ayrton’s accident, as they were trying to fix Comas’s suspension. The pit lane officials hadn’t put the red light on, so he went on and had to brake hard when he came across a helicopter on the track.

No one was punished because the maximum allowed time for the charges was passed. The one responsible was the race car engineer that modified his steering wheel coloumn poorly. The coloumn was cut and rewelded with a thinner rod that ended up failing/torn off. So senna litterally couldn't turn and could only brake on grass before the concrete wall was waiting. Very sad.

if you ask me, I think Senna's crash was a combination of the worn steering rack and him not being in the best frame of mind. That said, had the FiA not banned traction control and actually stopped the race after Ratzenbergers was killed, he'd likely have done very well in the season and probably still be here.

for anyone wondering what Senna said here in 5:28 he said "Him? nah, he needs the sponsors to pay him more for the next year, or else this boy won't be able to race next year." yeah, it's just a simple and funny sentence in it's context, but it's just to make sure to everyone that he isn't saying something worth of time to go searching, lol.

Schumacher would have won that championship even with Senna on track...it was 30-0 by round 3 and I find it hard to believe Schumacher would not won at least another 2-3 gp even with Senna on track. The benetton was super reliable so even if Senna won gp's ,Schumacher would finished 2nd after him most of the time

Maybe. Senna wasn't happy with the Williams at this point anyway. If they didn't improve the car for him, then yes Schumacher would have cruised to champion. But.. If Senna got a better set up with his car then, maybe Senna would have rallied and could have won it, albeit it would be reasonably close. We will never know sadly.

The whole incident was blownmassively out of purposions becaus ethe most prominent media about F1 was the british one, and it happends AGAINST a british driver, and the british are still salty about it to this day.
