Got my kit yesterday, only 10 day wait. Installed it today, had to minimally sand one slider. Using a scrap board with a known straight edge I drew a line parallel to the edge, then cut next to the line. Cut was perfectly parallel on the first try. This $42 USD kit is a lifesaver! $42 includes tax & shipping.
Honestly the 4512 is a great saw. I have had mine now for 7yrs. When assembling I took about 6hrs to install the fence system knowing this particular fence like most aluminum factory fence have issues. I ended up within .002 of being square & to be honest I never had an issue for a cpl years of daily use. I tuned up my saw/fence after setting up my new shop and found that my actual fence itself is bowed in the middle 20 thousands. Pretty excessive lol. I think for the money of the replacement pads I will spend another $100-$150 on steel and build my own custom fence.
I bought this kit a couple of months back. I tried to install it but it was super tight and I didn't have the time, at the time, to make it work right so I took it off and set it aside. I plan on adding it to my fence soon, though. I would love to see how it improves my fence. Nice video of your experience with the kit. You're right, there's not much out there on this.
To clarify I have the same issue with my R4510. Seems in this case, size doesnt matter lol. To each their own on how to resolve but I picked out an aftermarket fence and can't wait to install. Still far cheaper than getting one of the big boy saws and I believe it will give me more confidence than trying to Band-aid a flawed setup.
my fix cost zero. i paid attn. to how we lock the fence, we jerk the handle on the was down. I placed my left hand on the top of the fence and very gently lowered the handle, and guess what the fence never wondered just go slow guys it works wonders, just lower the handle very slowly.
I gave up on buying anything else made by Ridgid after they refused to honor a lifetime warranty (printed on the box) when I went to register the tool to get the warranty. That's a SCAM as you have to buy the tool at ONE STORE to get that honored. Anywhere else and you're SOL. They also treated me like DIRT when I called. NEVER AGAIN.
How do you like that saw? I considered that one. I have their 10" jobsite saw and found it to be way underpowered. So I wasn't that impressed with it. So I didn't want to spend the extra to get that Rigid. I ended up getting the Delta equivalent. Oh yeah, I did like the video.

That back nut, is a tension adjuster for your clamp down handle. It should be adjusted to the amount of tension that you like on the handle.
Bought them a year ago and they work really well!

Thanks for the video. The fence sucks. But you get what you pay for right! Going to try this for now.
Hi, I bought mines off Ebay and it was a cheap fix at $34. It's a bit tedious sanding the tabs but it's better than loose fence.
I would agree

I have same issues. My goodness I hate the fence. I’m gonna just replace the stupid fence
Does anyone know if there a product like this for the TS3650/TS3660
I'm working on it

Nobody has time for that, a good solution if you had the time. I for sure don't. Thanks for watching
Good comment man

The saw is ok.it will do for now
Most people who are serious woodwookers buy aftermarket fences anyway. Then they make push sticks, because the included one sucks!! 🤣🤣🤣
