An excellent result from a beautiful piece of ash. Applying the colour to the outside works very well. Well turned, Mike!

Glad you managed to save some bark Mike it really sets it off nicely. Ash is such a lovely wood to work with, I started scroll saw work with ash, really must try and get hold of a chunk for the lathe again. Thanks for all the tips and tricks you share, they're invaluable to a relative newcomer. Keep 'em coming.

I'm pleased you made the winged bowl. To loose those edges would have been a travesty. P.S. This last week, I have been given a Grass tree core ( Us old Ozzie's still call them Black boys). and will be turning a vase. 😊😎

I love the shape of the bowl. It takes an artesian to look at the piece you started with and see the finished product. Love the purple and red outside that highlights the grain. Thanks

I have five cats in my house and one of them is a tomcat. Every time you turn on that dust vacuum when you’re standing, he jumps up from watching the video with me and search looking for that vacuum as well. My girls run I think it is so funny. - I do like the shape of the bowl and the tub in the inside are absolutely gorgeous, but I hate to say that I don’t like that cover on the bottom. Just a personal opinion, but it does bring out the grain I will give it that much credit. Your work is really good though and experimentations sometimes as a way to find out if you like it or not. So just keep up the good work and I’ll be like in the next video.

It is beautiful, Mike. I have 10 oak blanks and intend to make the outside different colours using Hampshire Sheen wood stains. The first one is honey. I started watching in bed last night and it’s now 06.35 on Wednesday July 19th. I’m well balanced - I have a chip on both shoulders 😂🌞

Fantastic piece, I have said it before but I can’t see what you see, it’s truly amazing how you have these brilliant design techniques, I watch a lot of you tube woodturning but you do so many different things from pewter to milliput to colours to soapstone it just such a vast range of different things where as a lot of turners stay in their comfort zone, well done mate.
