    Just wrote all this down in my little gardening book! All I need to know for what I’m growing in my garden and this is one of the most important things I’ve put in it! Thanks for letting me know these formulaes!

      That's great. So glad I could help. I'm just uploading a video now on the importance of dandelions. You might be interested in it as they also make a great fertilizer. Thank you so much for watching.

    This is perfect. I've been seeing gardeners with buckets of weed tea…but I'm a first time gardener with not too many plants to maintain. I love the idea of having jars of what I need. I look forward to checking out your channel and blog (I didn't see this info on your website yet).

    Collected maybe 30 dandelions good idea on the jars, wondering about throwing them and banana peels into a blender for the tea.. I did it with compost to help the worms and speed things along for when I put stuff outside

    • @JillBretherton
      @JillBretherton  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes definitely. I suspect Dandelion leaves are a great source of nitrogen like nettles. I chuck them in my compost tea and since posting this video I added some egg shells to the jars as well.

    • @TrggrWarning
      @TrggrWarning 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@JillBretherton oh yea I have a few bags of egg shells, saw someone advise warming them in the oven to remove possible problems and put in a coffee grinder to make them more available to the plant. I wonder if they break down in the tea, I’ll try it too. I do know they don’t break down well in the soil when just crunched up.

    • @JillBretherton
      @JillBretherton  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@TrggrWarning yes that’s why I’m trying them in liquid. I don’t like them on the compost heap because they take too long to break down.

    • @TrggrWarning
      @TrggrWarning 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JillBretherton I never put them in the compost I’d put them in and on the soil with tomato plants, seemed to solve the problem I was having but like we know they didnt break down. Anyway, ill do all three see what happens.
      You have some great ideas!
      Hopefully you staple those “tucked” corners on those foil pans.
