Inside Quarantine: Ben awaits coronavirus all clear and gets Irish treats

- It's day 10 in quarantine, and Ben Kavanagh is waiting on test results which will reveal whether he has contracted coronavirus. He's due to leave quarantine on Thursday if all goes well.
He also receives a care package from a fan in London and clarifies some “fake news” about the Wirral quarantine facilities.

Ben is an Irish national who worked as a teacher in Wuhan - the epicentre of the outbreak of the deadly virus. He was just one of millions of locals under lockdown before he was evacuated to the UK.

I’m sure while being held in quarantine, getting a package is probably 10x more exciting than at home. This was such a nice thing of her to do.

Ben I don't know if they informed you. But they changed the quarantine period from 14 days, to 24 days.
China advised the World Health organization about the incubation period takes longer than previously thought. I believe it was through research done on stranded passengers on cruise ships, and others' that were self quarantined at home with family members.
Don't freak out if you hear an additional 12 more days!
The 24 day incubation period is an outlier.

Its an outlier. In statistics. Mean is still 5 days. Just because people CAN grow to 7feet tall doesnt mean every human will grow that tall.

Watch Medcrams excellent video. 24 days is an outlier (the median time to symptoms was 3 days) it’s hypothesised to be a second exposure event after a first potential exposure, that wasn’t counted/identified that pushed it out to that timeframe.

Nice to hear from you Ben with all your updates. I feel you are being lavished and pampered with nice gifts and treats, well you people need this boosting. Wish this is happenning to almost everyone out there with you, especially little children. So difficult to keep children indoors particularly. Now you all would know and feel the real value of freedom which we so normally so casually enjoy as it is taken for granted as it is just part of our lives!!! Well, now they are saying that the incubation time can be as long as 24 days, 10 days longer than the originally thought 14 days. Yikes. The 14 day quarantines are not long enough

Who would honestly hit a thumbs down on this video? I just don't get that part.. Unfortunately a new study coming out of China from the leading Respiratory experts state that there have been outlier cases with people showing incubations periods of 24 days Everyone should stay in place for another 10 days at least

The who did confirm it yesterday at their live press conference update they wanted to stress that it was only outlier cases the majority being between five-and-ten days incubation all it takes is one outlier to start another outbreak
