Same here. Was gonna get a shaman until I saw the bodacious and I had to have it. I bought a serrated resilience at the same time and they are very high quality and razor sharp and they are not similar at all but I recommend both. I have an awesome scarab clone. They took 28 days to get here but it was worth it 100
Spydercos price hiking is ridiculous. Other competitors are offering better options across the board from $30-$200 price range. They really sell an 8cr13 liner lock knife for $60 and think it's ok. Picked up a Para 3 and Benchmade Mini Grip from OK and theyre great
I picked up a couple earlier this year. I haven't put them to any serious work because the one I did try to carry (Para 3 clone) had a weak detent and partially opened in my pocket, giving me a nasty cut. Generally my opinion is they might be a good option if you're wanting to test what the ergos would be on a specific Spyderco before committing to the big purchase. Usually for budget knives, I end up pointing people to Byrd line from Spyderco; you won't get the fidget factor but you'll get a slicey workhorse at least, usually in the $25-35 price range.
I agree. It’s a good way to check if you like the feel. Then you can buy the real Spyderco. I haven’t done any major testing yet. If more comments want me to do some hard testing, I totally will. Thanks for commenting : )
Just checked out OK Knives & their prices have almost tripled for these things. The Shaman was $73. No WIH am I paying those prices for knockoffs, clones, etc., even as possibly good as the ones you show.
Spyderco is a greeeeedy company. I support the copy and bought lot of them fake knives, some of them steel even comparable to my custom made D2 knife at 61 hrc.
Man, I didn't know they were making fake Spydercos. It's good that I don't buy used, I only buy from reputable places I know like knife center and blade hq. At the price point they are, it's probably 8cr or worse. The shaman is little tempting for fun but nah .
I ordered a Spyderco on Amazon and it turned out to be fake. I was upset. It made me interested in finding all the fakes out there. Make sure to buy from legit dealers. Thanks for watching
A hard use comparison test with legit knives would be great. Also, any ways to tell if they're fakes would also be great. Looking at their website it seems one difference on some models is the, supposed, steel isn't matched up to the color of the handles on all of them. For example the blades listed as S110V come in colours other than "blurple". There are also great handles that aren't maxamet.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll make some comparison videos soon so you and others can spot fakes. Stay tuned for some comparison videos. They may be short form videos.
There is a solid line on the “swoosh” on the real box. Also on the non show side of the blade there is a dot between golden and Colorado. A comma on the real ones. Always use a reputable distributor,GP Knives,DLT Trading,Knives Ship Free,National Knives,Rivers Edge Cutlery and Cutlery Shoppe. Never had a problem. And I own LOTS of Spyderco knives 👍🏻
They probably were fakes. I ordered a fake on Amazon and I was mad. It made me curious about what other fakes are out there. I feel sick thinking about people that bought a fake thinking it was real. Stay tuned for more long term reviews of these knives. Thanks for commenting
Just received a blacked out P3 from OK knives . Works just fine like yours 👍. Thanks for sharing.
Right on 👍

i'd definitly buy a couple if we knew what the steel is, but im worried its gonna be something like 3cr13 or smthing bad like that

Word is the Shaman has 14c28n steel and the more expensive Ok branded Shaman with the carbon fiber handle scales has a premium steel.
Where is the site?
Do they advertise square thumbholes, but send them looking like this???
The ones they brank with the ok logo have the square holes
@@mrmouse-ol9pw what?!
Hows the shaman holding up edge wise?
Any links please?

@@rockcountry did you buy from the spyderco store on Amazon? Or from a different user?
Thats wild 🤠
On the website there all square holes.. Not round like yours
If you click on the menu in the top left of the website. You can click SP. That’ll make the fake Spyderco marked ones show up
I like the clones. They do what a knife is supposed to do.

I'll bet the steel is either 440, 9cr14mov or d2
If it’s any of those I’d be happy to
Most are d2
Had two real Spyderco's didn't care for their alloy couldn't seem to keep an edge..... Maybe they were expensive fakes. Internet fraud shame on me

I wouldn’t use Amazon for a knife purchase. Just my opinion. Just save and get a real one. They have some good sales throughout the year 👍🏻
fake is nothing but fake... a cheap piece of junk
