Ive been a cook for the last 11 years. Used many Victorinox knives and they are serious work horses. I only found out about their watches just months ago! Id love to be Victorinox out for work with a Vict. knife bag, knife, and watch. Lol so cool!
I have had a few tags and one Victorinox maverick and I think as for as looks, quality and price there are no other watches in their price range that are a better deal!
Really love the Victorinox review included in the Teddy Library. A Victorinox Swiss Army was my first nice watch, a major purchase at the time in 2006, and it still enjoys substantial wrist time to this day.
I found a used one for $100 Canadian! It is built like a tank! I love it! I have confidence in wearing it constantly. Wether is to go swimming, or in the shower or to go work. This has become my beater watch, but it still looks great.
First time I am seeing the watch but definitely fell in love with the dial and the shape. I just bought a new watch so I don't want to spend money currently but I will definitely get one of those.
Thank you Teddy for reviewing nthe Victorinox! I've been waiting for this video. I have the full black INOX Carbon 241777 in quartz, and I'd say that was my gateway watch that started my collecting journey. Love the watch and the best I can describe it is the Swiss GShock, which is a high honor to give.
I have several Victorinox watches (as well as other products). My favorite Victorinox watch is the I.N.O.X. Professional Diver with the Quartz Ronda 715 movement. I'm coming up on five years of ownership and it's still using the original battery! It is also the most accurate watch in my collection by far. This is the most durable piece that I have ever owned. I do not hesitate wearing it no matter what my plans. I wear it nearly daily and there is not even a fine scratch on it. I bought it new with both Rubber strap and Beautiful bracelet for $399.99 on a Black Friday sale. I cannot recommend the Quartz I.N.O.X. enough.
I absolutely love my INOX it's my daily wearer I keep it on my SS bracelet if you put the rubber strap on it it takes away from the beauty of the watch . For a piece that's under 1K it's definitely worth the money.
I’ve had a quartz version of the INOX on a rubber strap for about 7 years. It’s had plenty of use and been knocked and banged a lot and used in varying temperatures and condition. It’s been fantastic, tough as old boots and I’d recommend it highly . Some serious bargains for the quartz versions on a well known auction website. If fact at one stage it was possible to get a new steel bracelet version complete watch, cheaper than Victorinox were quoting for a replacement rubber strap alone, that’s just the strap, no watch 😀
I’ve been looking at this for 2 weeks now. And after watching this review, I booked a time next week to get it. Looking forward to it! I’m usually used to Omega watches. For the price it’s an amazing watch with a great finish
My wonderful girlfriend gifted me the quartz version of this watch in 2019 and despite the emotional aspect, it’s the watch I spend more time admiring and the one I get more compliments from people. I don’t have a huge wrist but if you micro adjust the bracelet - which is pretty easy - it fits perfectly. I can’t recommend enough.
I have this exact model on the wooden (that’s right: wooden) strap. It looks like leather but is actually made with tiny squares of wood. Not the most comfortable strap but it looks amazing. I also have the quartz version with a black face on a black leather strap. Both are absolutely incredible watches, and I find myself staring at my wrist more with these watches than any other in my substantial collection. They are absolutely gorgeous to me. It’s like they were made exactly for my 8” wrist. Other than the very weak lume, I can’t say enough good things about these watches. If you have the wrist size to pull it off, you will NOT be disappointed.
Important thing for any prospective buyer (Like myself) the INOX's Dial is only the dark 'Midnight Blue' colour like you see in this video when the watch is inside under soft lighting, outside or under strong/bright lighting it's a far more muted blue. I, personally, still intend to purchase one as I think this is an amazing little known bargain that had it a more auspicious badge would be 4x the price. But just be aware.
This Watch is like a Viking battle cuff big and bold . I'm 6'2" with a 8" wrist for me this watch is a perfect fit . The quartz Ronda Caliber 715 is a nice movement made of metal and not of cheap plastic . I love this watch nothing Dainty about it .
Nice watch . 20 years ago i have made a gift to my father . A watch VICTORINOX officer 2 or 3 . It was a quartz watche for 500 $ . this watche get to crown, one for the setting of the hours and one for the setting of the diving basel . You are right, it is built like a tank. The machining of the steel is more than perfect .
I just bought a blue Inox on a six inch wrist, this is a very comfy timepiece, and the legibility is excellent, never mind case size; the face size is spot on. I genuinely don't feel this watch on the wrist as it fits so well with the rubber strap, and in quartz, perhaps eth case is slimmer. Yet it feels heavier to pick up in the hand, strangely. This watch is no slouch.
I own Rolex OP, omega speedmaster new model, two Tudor black bays, among many other watches but my victorinox mechanical keeps better time than all of them and is incredibly comfortable, superb watch
I have an INOX myself. Awesome as a field watch. Paracord strap is very interesting to wear and also while outdoors you can put a silicon (compass marked) protective cover. I am enjoying a black quartz version with black tactical paracord strap and it is awesome (I like my beater watches to be quartz).
I love my inox, the only thing I wish they would have tapered the bracelet a little, reducing the tank effect and getting more of a dweller feel. Great review!
More great content, I think a bunch of us watch enthusiasts overlook that the good old "Swiss army watch" is a great place to start. I have a 20 year old quartz Victornox that I wore every day for at least a decade before discovering Tissot, and that watch is the reason I enjoy these types of videos and have become a modest collector. Thanks again for bringing the great content.
L8ke finding money 8n a jacket you haven't worm 8m a while. The fassion watches aren't unusual for me since I worked in that industry for a nimber of years. What I didn't find was my Rolex!!! Ithink it's long gone since my Ex had a propensity for giving away my stuff!!
Wow I'm so glad you made this video, I had never taken Victorinox watches seriously before, I figured they were just cheap clunkers trading on the 'Swiss Made' aspect to get a sale. But that INOX has a beautiful dial which looks like Entry-Level Omega quality, and the various angled cut outs on the steel bezel give off a Octo Finissimo / Nautilus / Royal Oak vibe. As a whole I prefer this to the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 which is a similar price. I'm not a fan of Dive Watches, I know I know, sacrilege, but this is a nice in between I think, Diver Specs and Sensibilities with an Industrial 70's design. Your video convinced me, I'm gonna get one. Thanks for that mate. Always great to learn about an overlooked watch.
I don't think it's maybe Omega levels of delicate precision, and it's not meant to be an intricate and delicate design. But I think it's above Omega quality in how they've shaped the case. So comfortable. Well, actually it is intricate and precise when it comes to the dial... I've looked at several other options when looking for a new everyday beater watch, and this INOX is well above the quality of all the others I've been looking, at many easily double the price! It really is surprising that your comparison to Omega is valid. To me the design is amazing since it's a rare case of a very original design that just looks "right"! Feels right too. It think this will become an absolute classic. What's going to cost me is the price of all the straps I want to buy for it, since I can't decide on the wooden one (the top of that waffle design is not leather as this video incorrectly said, it's wood!), or the steel bracelet, and I want the rubber one in any case for sports plus I would really like to have the paracord one too! Four straps? Oof...
@@pistonburner6448 I just bought the Inox Professional Diver with the rubber strap with a black dial. Beautiful watch. I was considering a Hamilton Khaki Scuba but the deal I got on the Victorinox put me over. I picked it up for a very good price, couldn’t pass it up, plus I did a lot of research on this piece so like you I’ll have to spend the $$$$$$😳 on a bracelet but will dress it up nicely.
@@Daniel-yf9iy Well, that (relatively small) investment is going to last a lifetime...or many lifetimes. Good choice! (Besides, I like that watch on the rubber strap or the para-cord strap the most anyway)
My first automatic watch is VICTORINOX Alliance Mechanical Automatic Black Dial and its movement is ETA 2824-2. After that about 4-5 years, I have to service it. Now, I have more watches with SW 200 movement and I think the ETA 2824-2 in my Victorinox isn't good as another watch with SW 200. Anyway, I also have a watch with ETA 2824-2 Top Grade and its accuracy is the same as COSC specification.
Did you really miss mentioning that the strap you featured there is _wooden_ ?? That surface is not leather, it's wood! It's a fantastic innovation (as long as it stands the test of use and time), very unique!!
@@e28forever30 Are you talking about the quartz version? I dont know the automatic but I would give mine (quartz) a rating of 7,5/10 in lume. It is easy readable the whole night 8+ hours. My Citizen(s) and Seiko are much better in the lume department 9/10 but the Victorinox has it's own "overall-charm". The Lume in my Casio Duro is a joke.
I've had my eye on one of these for ages. It's a watch that looks far more expensive than it is and not that many people knew about it......until now! Damn it, Teddy! 😁
As you said the size is a bit out of date and well beyond my comfort level. A couple of years ago I picked up an ETA 2836 powered silver dial 38mm Swiss Army Infantry for only US $50. Does it look experienced? sure, but for field use it's perfect.
I have a Victorinox Swiss Army Quartz, not really sure of the model, it was a gift I received in 2008, I wore it everyday until March this past year, gave it zero respect for 15 years, just dogged the hell out of it, and then knocked the crown off some how, I sent it in to get fixed and they didn’t have the parts. So, broken hearted, I go looking for a new watch, find Teddy’s reviews and now I own 8 (#%^!) watches, Thanks a lot Teddy!
Great but at this price I would add some and make it a Ball Fireman Enterprise. It has richer heritage and it's a marvel how much Ball squeeze into that 40mm dial and still keeps it relatively light. I am seriously considering it.
I wonder why this watch is so overlooked. I have the smaller size version and it’s my daily. On hikes, dog walks, etc. So reliable and totally ok with it getting banged about. For me it’s why I have never considered a Gshock.
As noted, it's a big watch far beyond the size that would properly fit my small wrist. Otherwise, it's a beautiful watch and one that, if offered in a size under 40mm, I'd definitely consider. For the price point, it's nicely finished, with an attractive dial and quite nice bracelet (rubber strap also very nice). If they ever wanted to branch further into watches, they might consider dropping the "Swiss Army' on the dial and just go with Victorinox as the branding, which might help expand the customer base beyond those looking for the "Swiss Army Knife" of watches.
I’ve been seriously considering an INOX. Teddy, I’d like to see you also review the new Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba auto. It is also 43mm, nice steel bracelet, 300 M water resistance, and has the advantage of an H-10 movement with an anti-magnetic spring for just under $1k. If you want an anti-magnetic INOX, you have to go with quartz.
@@jasonhall10 that video is a review of the previous generation of the Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba. The current generation is significantly different with improved upgrades.
@@williambireley2529 My apologies. I’ve never paid much attention to that watch; I love Hamilton but the 24 hour scale on the dial makes it look too busy in my opinion. If I could get over that it seems like a great watch otherwise.
Teddy? Since you've probably have both dial colors in your collection : would you go for blue or black. From the pictures the blue looks a bit light and plasticy. Please let me know. Thanks
53mm lug to lug is crazy. I was wondering if victorinox was any good and I'm watching this video to learn a bit more, although this is a eye catching design, this lug to lug is just too big for most people out here.
Just tried on the INOX with the wooden strap at Victorinox... I really like it! Seems much higher quality than its price would suggest. And above all the design is really original and to me a home run. Really comfortable, isn't as big as it seems or numbers suggest IMO. I have a small wrist and it was not only visually a good size but comfort-wise too. The dial is a bit small, and I'd normally not buy a watch so simple so I'd want a chronograph version or at least GMT. Nothing else to complain about.
Which is a better value buy and which one has the better movement? Victorinox INOX Mechanical or The Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80? Thanks in advance!
There are two versions of the I.N.O.X with different movements. One with a ETA 2824-2 movement and one with a Sellita SW200-1 movement. Is the Sellita movement a newer version? Which movement is better?
Was just on the Victorinox site earlier today and have been checking them out lately as they are a great option imo for a sub 1000$ Swiss Watch. Was also wondering when I'd see a review as they haven't been talked about much but that will maby change! Coincidence? This is the same one I was most interested in, it is a smoking watch for the price imo and I wonder if the quartz version in has a smaller height and weight as that's a great deal as well. Tissot PRX and PRX 80 are another great option imo in that price range!

Hey Teddy, My local watch dealer is no longer going to carry Victorinox because he told me that Victorinox wants their dealers to sell ALL their products not just one area or two such as maybe watches and an assortment of their knives. They want them to sell their luggage too. I think this is a huge marketing mistake if Victorinox wants to appeal to the collector market as well. What’s your experience? I got a really good deal on my INOX professional diver from him. He says it’s a shame because he sells a lot of their watches and they’re good quality.

If they ever wanted to branch further into watches, they might consider dropping the "Swiss Army' on the dial and just go with Victorinox as the branding, which might help expand the customer base beyond those looking for the "Swiss Army Knife" of watches.
I just purchased a King Turtle Green and now I want to take it back for this. 😢... Well not really ... But I will try this bracelet on my turtle.

I have a large wrist will this band fit an 8 to an 8 1/2”?wrist?if not could you order extra links for it???
Dear William!
I have a 8 and 3/4" (21,5cm) wrist an I had to take off 1 link. I think if you have a 9,25" (23,5cm) wrist it could get tight.
good review
Teddy? Since you've probably have both dial colors in your collection : would you go for blue or black. From the pictures the blue looks a bit light and plasticy. Please let me know. Thanks
I would love to know if this watch is EMP proof.
53mm lug to lug is crazy. I was wondering if victorinox was any good and I'm watching this video to learn a bit more, although this is a eye catching design, this lug to lug is just too big for most people out here.
Can't believe I missed this video. Is it possible to use the INOX as a dressier-sport watch too?
Is it working putting a tempered glass protector on the glass? Do you the size of the glass?
Thank you
Please start showing the watches outside and away from the body… 5th video I’ve written it now😉
There are two versions of the I.N.O.X with different movements. One with a ETA 2824-2 movement and one with a Sellita SW200-1 movement. Is the Sellita movement a newer version?
Which movement is better?
I’ve got one but the bracelet was very hard to open, it’s on leather now, but the watch is really nice 👌

What’s your opinion about the victorinox maverick?
Love the look of this watch, but a bit too big for me. Has anyone considered getting the female version?
The best watch
Excelente video 👏.
Putting that Spyderco knife in the shot with the watch was a good idea....👍👍👍
That Spyderco is a Benchmade 550HG.
@@christoph8333 haha... seriously..??? I just ordered a Benchmade 555S30V, still in the mail haven't gotten it yet. Benchmade with the Spyder hole is dope tho right..!!!
@@christoph8333 now that I go back and look at it...it does have the axis lock...
Hey teddy, can you review the ball engineer ii magneto s. I've heard you're an AD
The case and bracelet look like the Citizen Tough.
Which is a better watch overall, monocoque case, Solar drive, decent lume.
Been tempted by this watch just sizing stopped me
Hi teddy how’s a going? I just turned 21 and I work at my dads thai restaurant. It’s a casual setting, what watch would you recommend? My price range is from 100-3000
I owned a green INOX indestructible watch !!!
Hey Teddy,
My local watch dealer is no longer going to carry Victorinox because he told me that Victorinox wants their dealers to sell ALL their products not just one area or two such as maybe watches and an assortment of their knives. They want them to sell their luggage too. I think this is a huge marketing mistake if Victorinox wants to appeal to the collector market as well. What’s your experience? I got a really good deal on my INOX professional diver from him. He says it’s a shame because he sells a lot of their watches and they’re good quality.
I have one, of 25 jewels. Its a tank, but irse dificulta to get bracelet and strap original of 21mm. In México i cant get bracelet, i wear it whit strap 22, en ebay say 21 mm, bueno tiene come in 22mm
