I have all of the same Vortex optics and I can tell you this, 90% of the people out hunting cannot afford this stuff. This video makes it appear as if these things are needed. I grew up with Bushnell everything... totaling probably $150 for all. Still killed just as much stuff too. Why did I upgrade, because I could.
Eric you are right about Casey having the most expensive loot by far, that is about $4,000 worth of optics gear. I do love my Vortex Diamondback 10x42 binos, they are clear, lightweight, comfortable and easy to focus for about $250 so I can imagine what a $1500 pair of Razor UHDs in 10x42 would be like. Surprised he didn't break out the riflescope, too ... but I know archery season is up first. Nice to know about the sleep system B-Mac, I have been wondering what level of bag I need for going to possibly Idaho this early to mid Oct, then next year either Wyoming or Colorado. Probably just go with a 15 or 20 degree mummy style bag and wear warm clothes underneath as needed. Didn't mention a pillow, but that is okay. I was shooting my old bow from 06 with my cousin Saturday and he had one of those Black Gold 3 pin slider sights that I thought was pretty neat. Since we are in West Virginia he has his bottom pin set at 40 yards, and of course the others are 30 and 20 respectively. I may have to try one for next season, especially if I am fortunate and can get a new bow even though I have yet to release an arrow into or even at an animal in the 13 years I have had it. Maybe just update the sight and quiver after this season and run it for a year or two until I can save up for a new bow. Thanks for sharing, I could totally geek out like I have said before in both the warehouse/Gear Shop and just looking at all those mounts and learning all that information there at GoHunt. Oh and thanks for the limited discount offer to boot.
5:20 2 1/2 weeks until Archery season. That's enough time to get prepared. I hope you guys don't get offended by this comment. I love the fact that you guys are always putting together content but I've seen a lot of bad shot decisions from some of your staff over the seasons. I'm sure you guys are very busy with your life outside of hunting, I just think you could prepare both physically and mentally for these hunts better. I won't drop any more comments like this but I hope you guys can take it professionally.
@@GardenArcher7625 I think they get heavy sponsorship dollars and kick downs to run the best equipment out there, yes. I'm not sure I follow a lot of your comment but I think with them running one of the most successful hunting channels now days they have opened the door to what you describe, trying the newest, latest and greatest equipment every year, or even every 6 months. If you tried to make me believe that any of them pay full retail for quite a bit of their gear I'd laugh right in your face. Their channel is their passion but it's also an advertising platform for any company they throw out there and claim they use their equipment. The smarter thing would have been to grab a middle of the road optic setup that you could get all 3 for like $1500 or so, to get the average hunter interested instead of going all out and endorsing a spotting scope that is 2 of my mortgage payments. 👍👍
We don't really have a go-to one. Casey is using one by Crossover, Eric one by Fuse and Bmack one by Apex Gear. Find one that feels comfortable and go for it.
