AXIS DEF NOT “SUPER LIGHT”
EPIC soundtrack!
Love this videos 😀❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
New favorite channel for archery. Wearing the gear, and actually planning to move to Utah in a couple years. But coming there in February for some snowboarding. Can’t wait.
Love the setup!
Sweet setup! Glad to see you guys running the Hoyt’s! Good luck this season!
Please share on your broadhead selection for elk.
Sweet bows
I shoot axis 260s with 100 gains of bass and 100 gain point 605 total weight at 33inch draw i really like those arrows and my set up its slow 263fps but i like it
Great video Hush crew, hey hush I was wondering if you could do a video where you guys talk about your rifle setups
You are my favourite channel
Do logans axis arrows have the 50 or 75 grain hit inserts
Good hunting😎
Awesome set ups, must be extremely nice for manufacturers to just give you equipment to use and test... talk about living the dream. most of us save for months to all year for that type of set up
Casey what strings and cables are you running? I love that color
So with 350 fps its the Helix Turbo right?
I'm so glad the Ranch Fairy message is spreading. These heavier arrows will help penetration and flight. So glad y'all are stepping up to "adult arrows." lol Now just get Eric to bump up a few grains...
I'm looking forward to when more arrow manufacturers start catching on and we get more options for heavier, stiffer arrows. I have a 34" draw and there are only a couple arrows out there both long and stiff enough for me to shoot a truly high FOC setup and unfortunately they are expensive.
Just ordered some vanes and raps
I just received mine in the mail. You won't be disappointed.
How are you liking the switch Casey? I'm about to do the swap to a 5mm fmj as well. Currently shooting 300 spine goldtip hunter xt 408g, 309fps 80lbs carbon defiant 34 but want to slow it down so really looking forward to your feedback thanks man! Need to go in and hit up jeremiah!
How is the axis 465 with no extra weigh? Running a brass insert?
I don’t think you understand what FOC means you should’ve took your a and put a 75 grain brass insert a front that would of gave you a higher foc
Sweet bows. I'm with BMack and Casey. Heavier the arrow the better. I'm shooting a very similar arrow as BMack and bumping my weight up to 500 gr with more up front. Going with a fixed Magnus 150 gr. and the 25 grain outsert which increased my FOC to 14%. Was nervous increasing the weight too much, but arrows are flying very consistent and accurate. Can't wait till the opener! 🏹🦌
you are on the right track but you should keep pushing that FOC. You will start seeing real improvement in penetration once you get above 17% FOC.
@@arttrumbo9496 Yeah... Problem is I have a 340 spine. When shooting 175 gr field tip, with my 25 grain insert (that's an additional 75 gr), I noted that the arrows weren't quite as accurate at 40 yards which had me thinking that it was a tad much for the arrow. But when I backed it down to a 150 gr head, with a 25 gr Iron Will, they were flying true and accurate. So I'll stick with that for now. Next year I'll upgrade my arrows to a 250 to 300 spine. But... I might stick an arrow in my quiver that's 525 gr (175 broadheads & 25 gr Iron Will) for a sub 30 yard shot.
@@ericwiitala5407 I have had the same problem with balancing high FOC with stiff nough spine. I've got a 34" draw, and shooting 32" arrows makes it hard to find that combination. But it's not impossible. You just have to be willing to look around for the right shafts.
our local 3D tournaments got cancelled for the season. the range is open but with a lot of restrictions.. my archery season went out the door whith covid around
Buy a block and find a park.. you can always find somewhere to shoot a bow.
I need some cheap targets and some cheap arrows
By the way an axis arrow is not lite
Hi
Who dips you bow? They are able to perseve your hoyt logos? I want that contact!
Hope I win that can am🤞
But its August 28th 😪
What song is playing in the video
You went up weight up front but you also went up extra weight in the arrow. So does that not keep your foc pretty close to the same as last year?
It absolutely would, he should have went brass insert and 125 grain head. I’m running 125 grain inserts and 125 grain heads on an axis 300 it’s 586 grains.
@@KillenNReelinoutdoors try Ethics insert/outsert set. The ones I got go up to 185 grains. I'm running same as you but probably 140 grains of the Ethics insert/outsert. Total arrow weight will be about 600 grains. 125 grain Old School broadhead by Kayuga. Should be interesting. Ethics set should be here today. Still waiting on the heads. Rona got the shipping running late, late. Hopefully test it on a big ole black bear first thing. Good luck out there!!
Adam Rich thanks for the advise yes I bought the iron will insert and collar before I heard of ethics or I would have taken that route with the easier tuning
I wonder how Attila the Hun or one of Genghis Khan's Mongols would do with these bows.
Wraps will change the f.o.c
also hard to gain foc with 11+ gpi...
Go with an Ethics insert/outsert set. The ones I bought add up to 185 grains.
A Casey when you deliver my new Can-Am will you have the boy fill up the storage Box with some oreo double stuffs.👍😄🤣🤣
Love what you guys do but would like to see everyone of you shoot sone heavier arrow set ups. Closer to 600 grains. So when you shoot a animal it won’t run off with 20 inches of arrow sticking out of its side. You will punch all the way thru the animal. You guys owe it to the animals y’all hunt.
Looks like you need hush clear eyes lol
SAYS “SHOOTS FAST”....
SAYS “500gr 28” @ 66lbs”
342 fps isnt fast for projectiles
WHAT?
I bet money the speed of that arrow is between 260 and 270 FPS !
Why does it always look like Casey is about to cry lol
The video starts at 52 seconds just in case you didn't want to hear all the bullshit not in the title.
Only a 6 minute video?
First
You boys need to practice, grouping is terrible
