The legendary Dan Vasc is a Brazilian, so English isn't even his first language. One of the best singers I've come across.
He is amazing. One of the youtube stratosphere best.

Oh I caught that accent immediately but he could cover it really really good. He's such an amazing singer and I came upon him by accident actually by frustration. I was listening to scrolling listening to Christian rock like Petra and others, also like Gaither. His Amazing Grace video kept on popping up skipping it finally just went with Blow Away I pushed it I had some friends over and they're the ones that told me just watch it and I'm so glad I did. After that well it's history LOL.
On Thursday,June 8,2023 this 82 year old grandmother fell in love with a much younger METAL singer...shock ....DAN VASC singing AMAZING GRACE...His voice moved me to tears. his body movements sell the song. I wish my mom had heard this before she passed (at 83, several years ago now). I'm a 66 year old grandmother and I'm totally in love with this guy's music. I have binged most of the catalogue on his channel and everything he touches is gold. If you've seen Jesus Christ Superstar, he does a cover of the Gethsemane song from that musical that will just tear your heart. He has so much talent, it just blows me away. (Charlayne from Texas).

I’ve been following him since 9/15/20, when I heard him do The Sound of Silence. He’s got a brother named Davi, and with two friends, they’re the band Fearless. Have fun exploring his channel - over 200+ amazing songs! The harmonica was a gift from his dad when Dan was seven. Sadly, Dan lost his dad to cancer in 2017. I heard this song by Dan about a month ago, it moved me to my core. I worked as a Paramedic for many years and a very dear friend of mine who I worked with died and it was hard enough going to his funeral but then the lone bag piper shows up playing Amazing Grace and walking off into the distance while the Honor Guard did the 21 gun salute and it literally destroyed me. There is so much more that goes with this story but I won't put it here. Your reaction was amazing and as a Christian, I am right there with you as far as being moved by this song. I can't sing it or hardly listen to it without falling to pieces! Keep up the reaction videos, I'm looking forward to them.
I just found Dan, a month or so ago and instantly fell in love with him and his voice. The way that he can do any song with such compassion and high-energy is amazing I have never seen anyone do music like he does. He is truly blessed with a great gift. He takes heavy metal, Christian, rock and roll, Opera, and he doesn't in one fell swoop. Absolutely jaw-dropping amazing.

I just watched Dan Vasc again after he was on zoom in our church service. I sat here and cried tears in thanksgiving for such a talent. It is my deepest desire to hear him sing "How Great Thou Art" and I am sure it will be another performance such as we just heard. I am overwhelmed with emotion! If I had his email I would write him. He is blessed with a set of lungs and vocals. So powerful and great!

I've loved Amazing Grace since i was i child, but it wasnt until now, in my 58th year, when i heard Dan sing it, that i felt i finally really understood the song, like on a deep level.
And Yes, i also feel the same way about bagpipes, i can't help but cry when i hear them, and the harmonica is a genius substitute, and the first time I heard it it hit me just the same way.
