This video was so helpful! Thank you! I'm thinking of using this technique instead of purchasing expensive grasscloth or printable textured wallpaper for the inside back of my ikea bookcases. I think this will work really well!
It absolutely, without fail, amazes me that one can have a vision and see a potential from what seems like an old, broken, useless item, at least that what I would think, and turn it into an amazing useful brand new, useful household item.
I did something like this on the wall. I only did one direction with the broom. It was really cool. I’m definitely going to try this on a piece of furniture! Your dresser is gorgeous!

@@SalvagedInspirations btw, I'll have to send Hubs out again to buy me a broom with a long handle! It's not like I ever use one around here lol!

Looks so good! I’ve tried this technique with glaze and never thought to flotrol. I will use this next time.
Great project makeover!

Thanks Debra!
Such beautiful ideas! Thank you.
Thank you! 😊
Is that the white of the primer showing through? So just one color of paint?
Exactly. The white primer acts as the base color and I painted the French Linen over it.
What would you do differently?
Two paint colors instead of using primer as part of the finish?
Using that much flotrol, I wonder if the piece is still wet.
No. It dried perfectly fine.
Maybe you should have stripped it first. You go thru way to many sanding pads
