I have to say I really don't see anything in this game which I haven't played before. I mean what exactly is in this game that people like so much? I guess I've played everything out there. Every game is something I've played years ago. Oh well, maybe I'm missing soemthing but I've played this game like 10 times already over the past 10, 15 years.
I love the mood and general atmosphere in Elden Ring. Yes there's nothing new, but what You have in this game is done really well. World design is great in my opinion. You never know what You will find around the corner. World is HUGE, I mean really big and detailed. LOTS of details. I barely scratched the surface of base game and there's still DLC to explore. But Yeah I agree there's not many (if at all) inovative games now. It gets harder and harder to come up with somethig original. Original ideas are coming mostly from independent developers, yet they often think that weird/overcomplicated = original. It's not in my opinion.
