    This theory makes sense because once Link boards the divine beast, the champion directs Link on where to go and what to do

    I always assumed that the blights actually took over the champions bodies themselves and we are actually destroying the champions’ mutilated bodies that ganon corrupted for his own purposes. Hence why we don’t see their spirit until after destroying the body of the blight. Interesting theory. The divine beast helms lend some credence to the suit idea, but the tapestry depicts the battle from 10,000 years ago, so I’m thinking it is just stylized armor/masks like we see eventually in Tears of the Kingdom. Good theory though!! I really like the analysis of the “cockpit” which I’d never considered. Seems pretty likely though based on your analysis

  • @Angel_9691
    @Angel_9691 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I think this theory is cool, tho I'm not sure if it fits thinking about the SOS morse code messages in the divine beasts musics. It wouldn't make any sense for the champions to call for help per morse code if they would have been turned into the enemies the second they wear their ''amors''. I know that you can see evidence that the champions fought against the blights in Hyrule Warriors. But for me personaly, nothing that was shown in Hyrule Warriors has to be canon. Your theory could still be true, tho the thing with the morse codes still bothers me.

    That's why they were named Blights... because they were the *Blight* Champions fighting blindly, not knowing with who they are fighting... man this theory just absolutely blew my mind! But I have a question... in AoC the champions fight the blights, and Link fights them with his friends... so... are they fighting themselves??

    • @Thinkafurr
      @Thinkafurr  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      soooo! remember in AOC, that Calamity Ganon already won and travelled back with Terrako? it has a collective conciousness. A Hive Mind of sorts. Notice that when Astor made an offering/sacrifice to Calamity Ganon in AOC it grew in power, almost like...a portion of Calamity Ganon was sent back, and it just couldn't cut it with what power it had left over, so when Astor made that sacrifice/offering Calamity Ganon could manifest the blights once more because he had already gained the technological knowledge, biomass, form, memories/ personal knowledge.
      Calamity Ganon is basically a creepy collector of power and knowledge using Malice to corrupt, control, clone/recreate things if we think deeply about his behaviour in AOC crossing over into BoTW.

      yooo I actually really like this theory and personally I want to believe its possible but I do try to keep an open mind, to alternatives. Its that same open mind to alternatives that lead me to come up with the idea ^__^
      There is so many possibilities when things are left open ended and Zelda is one of those games that is written so well to leave one wondering!

    The champions wouldnt have suits. They dont even have shiekah slates. They use their own champion weapons, plus when the divine beasts were controlled, malice swarmed the beasts and the blights formed. The champions sent out an SOS but the blights intercepted it and started SAD (Search and Destroy) to track the pilots and ultimately kill them.
    Ganon never controlled the divine beasts, only the beasts going into a state of idleness, waiting for their pilots to return. They had defense mechanisms to prevent people who arent their pilots e.g link. When link disabled the beasts to get inside, he bypassed those mechanisms and when the beasts reactivated, link was already inside. The champions also are heard talking to link during the fight, suggesting they were trapped inside the main terminal, waiting for link to defeat the blights and then the champions are free to roam the beasts

      aww thanks Roy! I saw your comment about the guardian armor as well. Its interesting to think that other characters like the Hero might very well have fallen victim to the Calamity's corruptive blight.
      There is indeed a part2 in the works for later on down the track.

    You do know there is some evidence against this because urbosa Says that thunder blight Gannon was her warriors death which means the Blights killed the champions and the blights were not suits because one I’m pretty sure the suits would’ve probably fallen out of the divine beasts by the time link even gets there also the trailer for Age of calamity shows the Champions getting killed in combat with no Suit which can only guarantee that the blights are separate from the champions. And my evidence coming from the age of Clamity trailer is we see Revali getting shot Daruk Attempting to shield the attack and I’m pretty sure that most players that did the divine beasts already know what happened to Mipha A.k.a. getting killed by water blight and in the age of calamity trailer we see urbosa falling down and resting her weight on the scimitar of the seven not thunder blights blade which is clear evidence that the Blight Gannon‘s are not suits

  • @FriedFlakes667
    @FriedFlakes667 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This theory has been debunked since in agd of calamity it shows the champions fighting the blights face to face which made me wonder which order they died it
    Mipha most likely died first since she isnt really a fighter and in the dlc she says something like that thing killed me before i got to fight back or something like that
    Daruk was killed most likely second fireblights flame combined with its sharp blade most likely overwhelmed daruk and we can see in aoc he knocks out daruks sheild\protection easily.
    Urbosa died third as we can see that in age of calamity she manages to block out many of thunderblights attacks but when she gets tired and too tired to fight she gets killed but her blocking thunderblights attacks gives her way more time to survive
    Revali died last since he was mostly dodging windblights attacks and admitted to winging it the sos signals in the divine beasts theme also can tell this as it comes later in the theme than the other divine beasts
