I love your Boer goats , i'm interested in starting my own project ,if you have any lessons or schooling for starters i'm interested to join and learn.
Recently subscribed. Very informative channel. One think you left out regarding the buck, “eye fertility test”, as you can see the brownish colour at the upper arms area of the buck, that’s dirt from the sperm of the buck, which means it’s very fertile. Good for breeding.
broo I'm really appreciate you by this video and your chanel . I am from nepal but right now I'm working in Dubai . When i go back my country i will do this kind of goat farm . Thank you so much for your video .
@RoseMoFarm how are you? We missing out on videos and teachings from you. What is the best feed for my bucks in general and before breeding? Do I flush feed them?
Thank you. Putin is super awesome and growing very well i will make sure i include him in my coming vlogs. I am still learning as well kana its been 2n half years ke le serious mo boergoats so am still considered a beginner. Next year my wish is to be running a fully stud farm with only the best genetics and that means i should start from scratch.
Great video mate, selection is key buddy and its such knowledge that will help us grow this industry. When buying a goat you should at least be having an idea of what to look at otherwise in 18months your krall will be full of culls. You will try to sell, they will not move and you will be wondering why. Yes, we breed for different markets, whether to sell bucks, does or for meat, though i never heard anyone around saying they are breeding for meat, mongwe le mongwe ke o batlang go rekisa diphoko, thats OK; nothing wrong with that and thats where this valuable piece of information comes in. But if we do let's do it right. Personally I'm for cosmetics bro but they cant be complete without all that you've mentioned above. Farmers like you my friend are trying your best, putting in the work and resources to produce quality goats and i applaud you. Keep up the great work my friend, I'm learning and i hope others will learn too. Keep them vedios coming. Whishing you all the best in your future breeding, nd congratulations in getting a STUD number. Exciting times ahead. God Bless
Thanks buddy we are matching forward even though in most cases we don’t mention the challenges of farming. I am not yet there when it comes tk selecting the best breeding animals but atleast am not the west either hehehe santse ke ithuta. I have vowed to produce quality from now going forward and its a painful journey, just the other day i had to lose some of the animals that i love because of few errors on them mme di le dintle. Yes i will keep sharing the little knowledge i have and hopefully is not derailing the farming industry. Cheers buddy to many more success in farming
@@RoseMoFarm Yeah buddy, challenges will always be there but if you love what you do, that passion will deal with those probs swiftly. Very beautiful 😍 goats. Your demonstration doe kid will be very beautiful when she's mature. I have culled many beautiful does/bucks with bad teat structure. I to prefer the 2 teats on each side. Your demo buck is also very beautiful, he will mature nicely. Excellent video. Congratulations on your stud number.
Also you want your buck to have the loose skin on his neck because he will produce females that produce lots of milk. You did great and i agree on the does with 4 teats its wonderfil for when they have 4 or five😊😅😂❤
Brother, I presume u r from south Africa n what is d price of both male/female 6 months as well as 1 yr old in USD? What r the special characteristics of boer such as grazing style (uphill/plain area), suitable climatic conditions, kind of plants/trees it loves to eat etc... Here in India lot of demand is there but price is too much (1000 to 1500 usd for female 1 yr old)....any how Thanks for video... Good luck 👍
Stud - animal of high pedigree with great genetics and ancestry. Stock - commercial animal has most characteristics of a stud but some minor thing making it fail as a stud animal Cull - it's an animal that has less desirable characteristics for breeding only good for meat thus is designated as a cull... Must be removed from breeding stock
