Welcome Becky! Great choice on the Lariat you got so much more. On my video uploaded 7-19-23, I identified 18 items you get on Lariat that are not available on XLT, like adaptive cruise, built-in Nav, & B&O sound. The cost difference vs XLT ends up being about $200 per Lariat upgrade. It would be impossible to install a B&O system in a Mav XLT for $200. I am still learning new things so ask any questions on my videos.
What is your opinion on the next generation of the Maverick. There is also rumors that their will be the sportier version by the Ford sports performance. What about buying those
@ryanhori6954 Thanks Ryan! Re the 2025, the new front end looks like something from the movie Cars. It looks like eyes that will blink, a little creepy. What I am not a fan of is Ford removing features like the wiper de-icer and KP while raising the price each year. It is a form of shrinkflation. What I will be a huge fan of is a street version lowered with the Ranger's 2.3L engine. That will be a little rally truck for Baja type speeds. My 2.0L is fast but wow. Of course the mpg will stink and the price will probably be +$10k so maybe not.
Congratulations on your New Maverick Tremor purchase!... You will Love it... I have a 23 Maverick Tremor xlt lux pkg... i bought in south texas , had to pay $ 5000 over list,... becuase i didn't want to wait till mid 2024 to get one... my color is same as yours... Congratulations from... Ron in Texas
Mr Ron, my other favorite sub! Too bad they gotcha! But owning the T is better than not. Now get a hybrid for city driving and have the best of both worlds. Gas is not likely to get any cheaper even in TX where a lot of it is produced.
I’m in Oceanside with a daily commute to mission Viejo. Completely sold on a Mav XLT AWD Lux + 4K towing even though I rarely if ever tow (really just for the engine cooler, etc). Plan to drive it into the ground and have little kids in it for 10’+ years. Any thoughts before I commit?
My thoughts...do it! That is the exact build I have in Park City. Remember, my videos are not test drives and walk arounds but real driving experiances and road trips. Now that the supply is increasing, you can probably negotiate to pay msrp. If they say no, walk away and the offer might change before you hit the door. It is hard to find the build you want anyway. Wait times are down so order a custom build, use Ford's build and price website. Also price a Lariat with the black appearance pack (to get rid of the brown and blue interior). For all you get, like adaptive cruise, built-in Nav, B&O surround sound, push start, etc, you may want to pop for that if you plan on keeping it and running the Mav into the ground. See my video uploaded 7-19-23 showing the 18 features not available on XLT only costs $3395 more, or $188 per feature. You will spend a lot more than $188 to upgrade the muddy sounding XLT stereo with only 25 watt speakers. Ask any questions. Let me know if you ever come up to OC from Oceanside and I will meet you for a drive in one of our Mavs. Thanks Zane!
Hi again nyc, no delivery service. We used to own a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD Ltd and other low mpg vehicles. The Maverick not only costs less and gets better mpg, the bed is more practical for camping or winter activities because all the wet or smelly stuff goes back there. We need 2 vehicles in HB and 2 in PC. The Mav is like getting 2 for the price of 1 full sized truck or SUV. So the XLT AWD and the Tremor will be in Park City for all the off-road trails and camping nearby and for winter driving. The 2 hybrids will stay in HB for mostly city mpg with the high CA gas costs. 2 at each home makes sense for my wife and I, especially since we live in 2 places that friends and family want to visit. So instead of 3 gas guzzlers and 1 Maverick, we decided to pay less overall for the vehicles and save on gas each month too.
I took delivery of my 2023 Lariat AWD lats October and really enjoy it. Took almost exactly 5 months to arrive. It is much more responsive and fun to drive than my old 2019 F150 Lariat. Ordered it with Alto blue, black appearance package, Lariat Luxury package and 4K tow package. Like you I was not a fan of the brown and blue and the XLT orange was not for me either. I would love a Tremor but for my use the the lower fuel economy and limited to 2000lbs towing was a show stopper. Enjoyed all your winter driving videos. Keep up the informative videos. Bob, Ottawa, Canada
Wow, a viewer from Ottawa! Welcome Bob. Thanks for your nice comments! I got tired of all the typical walk arounds while pointing at features and showing basic test drive videos. I show road trips and size comparisons to other trucks. Oh, and I don't make you stare at me, my camera is pointed at the Mavericks. Yes the AWD version like I have in Park City is the best all around choice. And the extra towing of 4k makes it even more capable. I say on my videos my first choice is my turbo AWD with 4k tow. And for road trips, the hwy mpg is not much different than the hybrid.
@@fordmaverickmaniac Agreed. Tired of seeing the same old features videos over and over. Your refreshing and useful videos are a nice departure from the mundane reviews. Practical action videos are much appreciated. Keep up the good work. I think you need to make room for a couple more Mavericks. Cheaper by the dozen.
@@fordmaverickmaniac I find the fuel economy of the AWD 2.0l to be just fine for such a capable vehicle. The hybrids shine in city driving but are not much batter on the highway and you do loose a lot of capability as far as winter driving and towing. If you can only have one Maverick it should be the do it all AWD with 4K tow package.
Congratulations on both of your new purchases. I still like the Alto blue on your older Maverick, though the Atlas blue is good too. I'm amazed the dealership didn't have an additional markup. Any reason why you didn't want to wait on a 2025 (besides probable price increases)?
Yes, I posted a video 10-13-22 showing alto is a camelion color, from bright blue in the sun to almost black at dusk. That would have been the best color for BAP. No ADM because I ordered from the dealer in Costa Mesa that looks long term with customers. Yes I know that is rare these days. Don't want to wait for a 2025MY because not only does the price keep going up, Ford seems to remove features like they did with the wiper de-icer and factory installed hardwired door KP. Wait a sec... a 2025 Mav ST with the 2.3L power train would be sweet! Ok NOOO more Mavs, unless I want to start a Mav museum. Welcome Mr Taylor! I hope to earn your sub and referrals.
@@kidamere2408 I've seen some photos (without camouflage) and the front-end was not good looking - I hope that is a possible upper trim. I have seen a probable larger screen, but haven't read what concrete changes are coming. In my part of the country (central Alabama), I've only seen a couple privately-owned ones being driven, and a few that were used as commercial vehicles. A quick 300 mile CarGurus search showed 261 available (I realize that may not reflect all models available in that radius).
@enriquephilbert4558 It has been a week since you got an XLT and you like the details in my videos about the Maverick. Muchas gracias! Or as my Italian family says: Grazie tanti signore Enrique!
Took delivery of mine in February (hybrid XLT, in Alas blue). The prep guy removed the center screen plastic 😠, but didn't bother to wash the inside glass. I could see the factory suction cup marks on the windshield. I didn't make a fuss, but still. 🫤
What is your favorite Maverick build?
Me hubiera gustado poder acceder a una XLT con tracción total pero acá en nuestro país no llega
@enriquephilbert4558 You want an XLT with AWD but it is not available in Argentina. So sorry, lo siento!
The first truck I ever purchased. Maverick lariat tremor so far, I love it
Congrats, the Mav is the first truck for us too. In fact, we never owned a Ford before. Post some videos, I will sub!
