@mitchellbarnow1709 HI again Mitchell! For some reason, Ford originally made the hybrid std even though they could only produce about 1/3 as hybrids. Making it an upgrade was probably to control demand but they still cannot produce enough
Such a beautiful area in the snow! I think my hybrid would struggle getting up those hills with regular stock Contentals.. I have driven in snow here but no hills either.. maybe 2 or 3 inches of snow .. have a great day!
With AWD the Contis do fine, even up steep icy inclines. Without AWD, you will get front wheel spin like my video showing a FWD Explorer doing that last winter. Thanks again Denny!
I think the hybrid will last MUCH longer though. That 2.5 is less stressed being a hybrid powertrain and is a good ol mazda engine. The 2.0 is......well, lets just say I've seen vehicles with that engine become one with the asphalt one too many times. They would be much better off putting a detuned version of the 2.3 in it
@johnnydank9134 Thanks Johnny! I do not think you will notice the difference for the cost of the leveling kit. If you have an AWD, a 2" lift will make your Mav more off road capable so that makes sense. You will probably take a hit of 2-3 less mpg. Ask any questions, and welcome!
I am always looking for new ideas. So far the best accessory we purchased is the high rack because it makes the bed size less relevant. In a recent video, we put a 10 ft piece of lumber on top. That is over twice the size of the Mav bed.
Did you know buying the hybrid instead of the standard 2.0L turbo AWD can take 2 years to recover the hybrid's $1500 extra cost in fuel savings?
Is that why Ford stopped making the hybrid the standard power train or were they just trying to improve their fleets gas mileage?

What are your thoughts on 1 inch leveling kit/2 inch lift kit? Is it risky?
Also beautiful build I love it

Hi. Are you interested in car accessories? Thanks😊
