Okayy, well your barber is right grey hair is a different texture. It tends to be finer and tends to dry out quicker. So you wanna make sure you're keeping it moisturised/hydrated. Deep condition regularly to maintain moisture and depending on how many greys you have could be worth using Purple Shampoo to preserve the shine and keep them healthy. For the waves, I wouldn't recommend using a hard brush cus the strands are finer so not as strong. Stick to mediums and softs and of course spend a bit more time on the areas where your waves are weaker. Slow and deliberate brushing will be better than faster. I hope that helps!!

Bruhh did you put it under water?? Or let it dry face down? If you didn’t do either of those things then it’s not your fault it’s the quality of the brush
Nah not that I know of, you’re brush shouldn’t get softer after washing it. You can try blow drying it in case the bristles are still holding moisture but other than that I don’t know bro

How long do you have to wait after to use your brush ??
Just until it dries, should be like 30 mins or so
i washed my brush and like it cracked the middle open and the paint is chipping

No it won’t, I generally don’t use really hard brushes but my hardest brushes have stayed the same.

I can’t lie I put my durags in the washing machine with the rest of my clothes...as long as they’re clean how you get there isn’t a big deal

Yea cold water will do the job plus if warm water gets into your brush wood it’s more likely to mess it up
