You should always apply some moisture before you start as you shouldn’t brush dry, and I tend to moisturize during the session so I don’t need to after

1 is probably too low for you bro but if you brush while your hair is growing back then you should be able to see what length your hair starts to curl up and make sure not to cut before that next time

Nah not that I know of, you’re brush shouldn’t get softer after washing it. You can try blow drying it in case the bristles are still holding moisture but other than that I don’t know bro
