My WJ has had issues starting for the past couple months. Last week it stopped starting completely. No crank no start. Got a new battery, new terminals, new starter. None helped. I finally cut into the cables and both +/- were green with rot. My new Jeep cables just got delivered today, following along with your video, hoping this fixes it lol. 🤞🤞
Great video! When I had done mine I flipped the cable ends that go to pdc box so I didnt have to cut the cover. Upgrade the alt & go with an agm battery like odyssey if you decide to run a winch & sound sytem
@@NajarOffroad I have no doubt! I have a winch and a sound system that draws a lot of power. I plan on adding 120v inverter and a second battery so I'm going to use the old cable to run the second battery. Jeeps never run out of upgrades I swear! 😆
its gud to see we have wj ppl around.. all i am expecting another video from u is that how to solve the fan relay issue coz it blows off every time and they are expensive aswell
Don’t know why they would say that. It’s one of the best, if not the best most durable engine ever made. Keep fresh oil in her and she will forever live.
Did this upgrade this weekend, ended up needing to replace my starter motor. The nut was welded to the post from corrosion. Sheared off that soft copper like nothing. All good now though

Thanks brotha! I do ask usually at the end of the video to like and share😂 but it’s at the end not many stay watching all the way! I appreciate the support though 👌
I just did this today, exactly as shown in the video. Screw tap, zip tie to the battery box and, all. These cables definitely make stock look like trash. Thanks for sharing. Also where did you purchase or order the loom that fits these cables and the green wire? I Zip tied neatly but, I want to be clean.
My WJ is my first Jeep. It's so basic, it's perfect. I have the cable kit, and thanks to Najir it will be a snap to install. I'm hoping it cures my intermittent stall problem. Continuity tests on existing cables were not great on the grounds especially. Wish me luck. Be gone electrical demons!! 👹
Looks so easy on the 4.0. Hope the 4.7 is similar. This is a great upgrade, chryslers always need to have a good electrical connection. They come with enough problems as it is 20+ years later. xD Cheers
Yo dude... i like the way you ran the ground cable under the pcm and the placement of the fuse as well. I am gonna have to go fix mine now... lol Keep up the good work! I am looking forward to the next video and hopefully getting a chance to wheel with you some day. Much Love Homie
So is it true that the 04 Grand Cherokee V6 4.0 engine is the best engine and its definitely worth fixing odds an ends with the Jeep as ling as the engine is running strong and sounds good?
what are the benefits of this install? My positive battery terminal broke and Im gonna have to replace electrical stuff anyway.. should I do this while im in there?
I would recommend this kit. Sometimes inside the stock cables the copper could be wearing out causing poor connection. Also the Big 7 kit the cables are way thicker and can take more load for accessories
My wj won't start i got a new starter and the dash doesn't light up with the key on, before I had to put the car in neutral for it to start sometimes what do u think it is
Was the neg batt to engine block ground at the ground heat wrapped with the other ground wires? I've got an 02 4.7 and I can't just switch out the Neg Batt to engine block cable because it's not separated at the ground point with the other wires.

Watching you install this reminds me how much more room I had back when I had a 4.0 WJ. The compartment on my 4.7 WJ is way tighter.
yeah no room....lol
4.0 all the way. Can handle boost well too!
Right!
Boost? Share what ya know. I think the same looking at it. Can the trans take it as well? @@williamhutchins479

Awesome! Yea the stock cables tend to do that!
Just ordered the 2 gauge for my 99 WJ. Went to the bigger wires because I’m eventually going to install a winch.
Great video! When I had done mine I flipped the cable ends that go to pdc box so I didnt have to cut the cover. Upgrade the alt & go with an agm battery like odyssey if you decide to run a winch & sound sytem
Oh that’s smart! I want to do the alt upgrade for sure
I just ordered a set for my WJ! Thanks for the walkthrough and the promo code for free shipping! 👍
No problem! You will notice the big difference between stock and Jeep Cables💪

Man I can't get enough of your videos. When I'm back out west I'll come link up. Did you ever think about upgrading your alternator?
its gud to see we have wj ppl around.. all i am expecting another video from u is that how to solve the fan relay issue coz it blows off every time and they are expensive aswell
I’m actually planning on doing the clutch fan mod
I just stumbled across you.
I too have a WJ that I am resurrecting.
Most peeps suggest to get rid of it, but I freakin’ love it.
Don’t! 😂
Don’t know why they would say that. It’s one of the best, if not the best most durable engine ever made. Keep fresh oil in her and she will forever live.
Crazy I was just thinking of doing cable change soon to and you end up posting this🤣
Just ordered these after finding the stock cables are causing a short and the terminal connectors are broken.
Did you notice any brighter lights or anything like that and that looked like a nice upgrade
Did this upgrade this weekend, ended up needing to replace my starter motor. The nut was welded to the post from corrosion. Sheared off that soft copper like nothing. All good now though
🎉👍
What did you find for the loom? I just finished installing my kit and I'm trying to get some idea of what to do.

Love those cables. For a while i wanted to DIY them but for the price it saves a lot of hassle and seems well worth the cost.
Honestly yea haha and I mean you could win a free set 🤟

Hay in my 2000 wj the alternator goes to the battery not the fuse box is this correct ?
Just purchased this for my 2000 Wrangler. This video will be a big help. Thanks for posting.

Nice. Clean the acid off the top of the battery also..... that'll drain it all day long!
My negative post is cracked and been looking to DIY this didn’t know they even made this kit. Good to know.

Nice product might have to check it out. I already started upgrading my wires little by little.
That’s great! Yea they make it easy to instll
The only thing I felt left out on is which fuse the extra fuse was supposed to replace.
Would you say the wire loom is necessary
So is it true that the 04 Grand Cherokee V6 4.0 engine is the best engine and its definitely worth fixing odds an ends with the Jeep as ling as the engine is running strong and sounds good?
Doing a 4.7. Got all cables in. I have one ground left with a small eye end saying head and another larger eye saying firewall. Where does it go?

Going to do mine as well! Wish me luck!
I ordered this kit, i'm not sure whats wrong so i'm doing all the upgrades...
My wj won't start i got a new starter and the dash doesn't light up with the key on, before I had to put the car in neutral for it to start sometimes what do u think it is
just ordered mine. still not sure why we need the extra fuse??? I sorta get it but not 100% sure...
I believe it’s for the power going from the alternator to the battery incase there is a spike I’m not sure either but a fuse is not a bad idea haha
@@NajarOffroad that's what I figured. extra safety. Can't go wrong. 👌👊
Signed up for the give away! Thanks for another awesome vid!!!
Hell yea 💪
Hey man what type of wire gauge did you use 2ga 4ga
I believe I had the 2 gauge
It’s good to go!!!!!!

Mint!
It really is just needs the new wire loom
Just got these for my 4.7. Not looking forward to doing them with a much more cramped space. You should do mine for your channel lol jk.
The 4.7 takes up to much space😂
