Congrats…..Grandma is so fun. Thank you for the inspiration on the big projects. I have been stitching Dimensions stockings for my kids for 3 years now. Pushing hard to finish the last one due to lack of motivation. Happy Stitching ❤️🧵🪡
I like bigger needles also and my favorite needles are Mary Arden brand of needles, the petite ones. I actually have a bunch gathered up for future gifts. And I think I have a P. Buckley Moss pattern, that I dint see you show and you are very welcome to have it. I am never going to stitch it. I will look for it next weekend, rewatch the video and if it isn't one you have, I will drop it in the mail for you. Love your Mill Hill Santas!! Always lovely finishing!! And I'm gathering up some finishing to send you! Cause, you know I get goose bumps everytime I look at the PS wall hanging quilt you made for me. I still can't believe it is all mine!! Thank you once again!! Take care, Ruth.
Congratulations to your family! Wonderful news. I'm a granny five times now.....one year we got three in six weeks! You will love it. Thanks for the explanation of WIPGO.....I was confused when I first heard the expression and most flosstubers I listened to talked about it like we all had familiarity with it.....good to have a thorough explanation.
I love seeing your stitching as well as the book recomendations. Just yesterday I picked one that you talked about awhile ago at the library. I keep a list. I'm very happy for you having a grandbaby to look forward to.
Pam, Congratulations on the new grandbaby and the upcoming nuptials. Don't worry about getting your pieces framed at Hobby Lobby. I have had several pieces framed and they have all come out perfect. I've read the Poisonwood Bible years ago and I liked it quite a bit.
Thanks for stopping by. I wish we could all feel confident about leaving our stitching with a big box store for framing. I think we have all seen less than quality work come out of those stores. There just isn’t uniform training or skills. That employee telling me she wanted to be an art teacher (easily 30 years ago) didn’t foster confidence! I will be nervous about the end result until the pieces are back in my hands. I should have one to show by my next video….something to look forward to. Happy stitching. Pam
Nice visit! Enjoy catching up with what you have been stitching ! Also congrats on becoming a grandma! And you are totally correct about showing info like that to everyone, glad you mentioned it , I saw someone show all there info and could not believe it ! Thanks , Kim☀️
Pam, Congratulations on the upcoming grandchild. Being a grandma is the world's best job. I am happy that you are being so successful getting your projects finished. I love hearing about the books you read and enjoy. I will now be on the hunt for Poisonwood Bible. Take care. Best, K
Pam, Pam, you always leave me searching for things I have no business searching for! Giggles in the snow…..FANTASTIC! Have this one, not stitched of course. It’s beautiful. Congratulations on the grandbaby! Wahoo Hoo! See you soon!
Giggles in the snow is the CUTEST piece! I did the one some people consider a boy but I don’t think it necessarily is. It will stitch up quickly should you give in to the urge.
@@VonnaPfeiffer Go read the comment from Ruth…One Stitch At A Time….I think it’s meant for you on your last video….She just wrote it either last night or this morning.
Congratulations on the baby news. You are so right about the privacy issue. I know you will get a lot of enjoyment from being a grandma. I am reading a very good book, Before I Go , by Brian Charles. Getting some reading in between cross stitching and quilting.
Congratulations on the new grandchild! You are spot on about internet privacy! I’ve seen several instances too of personal info plastered all over. Happy stitching!! 🧵🪡✂️
Congratulations on becoming a grandma! I am a bit jealous of your wip count though. Going into the new year with only couple of bigger projects sounds like heaven to me. Here I am , plugging away at my wips .....
Doing Maynia is what caused me to go way over my tolerance level for WIPs. Before Flosstube I probably just had a couple. Keep working away. Each finish is so hard-won.
Congratulations to you and your family. There is nothing better than that first grandchild. It makes it all worth while. Also, thank you so much for the public service-type discussion regarding the dissemination of personal information, especially that of children who do not have any say in that decision, on the internet. As a prosecuting attorney for over thirty-five years, I cannot tell you the number of times I had to deal with nefarious people who ill used both information and pictures of innocent children that they had access to because proud family members posted such on social media sites. My granddaughters are not allowed to post their personal data or pictures on such sites which has not been a popular stance with teenagers. But, that is why they have caring adults in their lives. Love you video and keep on speaking out.
Thank you for validating my fears. I don’t want to be the paranoid voice of Flosstube but people just seem so oblivious. The baby’s personal information being made public just pushed me over the edge.
Congrats on becoming a grandmother! Also, congrats to your son for his engagement. So happy you are participating in WIPGO this year. It is your board, so your rules, use it however works for you, right? Enjoyed seeing your finishes and your update. Have a great time at your quilting meet up this month.
Best wishes to you and your family! I didn't know about not putting the baby's name out there and no names on backpacks and items. As a retired elementary teacher I would tie a tag to the inside of a student's backpack. Ack, times are a changin'. You're amazing to finish so much and then to look ahead to 2024 and what wips you might have. I love the Hands on Designs you're stitching.
Congratulations, Pam, being a Grandma is the best! I hope we get to find out if the baby is a boy or girl. That seahorse is gorgeous. Always fun to watch your video….happy March🪡
Congrats on the grandchild ! I got your book suggestion from last month- the lioness and really enjoyed it. I usually read mysteries and this was something different but suspenseful .
Congratulations to your whole family! Grandchildren are our reward for surviving teenagers. Our daughter calls us to complain about our teenage granddaughter, and all my husband can do is laugh and laugh!😂❤
Hi Pam! Congratulations on your happy news! I enjoyed seeing your finished Prairie Schoolers - especially the one with the color conversion (Mar h). If you mentioned where you got the conversion, I missed it. Can you provide that info? Thanks! Boy I’d be thrilled to have only a handful of WIPs. I have about 25-30. I am trying to finish about half of them this year, but I tend to get bored with a project after about two weeks. I look forward to seeing your March projects!
Thank you. I purchased the conversion from Shakespeare’s Peddler years ago. That’s the shop that Teresa, Kitten Stitcher, used to own. Since she created it, it’s not mine to give away. Several years ago on her Flosstube she mentioned that she doesn’t have them anymore. I offered her mine but she said that the threads would have changed too much to be useful. At the time I purchased 4 patterns with conversions but last time I looked I didn’t have all of them. With regards to the dropping number of WIPs….I just haven’t wanted to start much but do stitch every chance I get. I didn’t set out to do that…it just happened. I feel like one day I will get over not wanting to start things and will suddenly have every giant project I own on my wip list.
Glad to hear your first shot wasn't too awful. My experience was that the first shot was fine but the second one laid me out. Same for my mother. Sincerely hoping that isn't your experience.
Thanks for letting me know. I feel like it’s too good to be true that I’d get through without any side effects. I will plan to have a free day again the day after the second shot. I’m sure it is still better than getting shingles.
A friend of my son posted their marriage certificate on Facebook. They removed the post after my phone call to them. They were just so excited to get their certificate, they didn’t think about all the personal information the certificate.
Hi, Pam. So glad someone is speaking sense about the amount of personal data people share on social media. It's scary. We want to think that we are just sharing our lives with kind people, but the reality is that there are far too many out there with evil intentions and a great deal of technical savvy! Congrats on the future growth of you family.
In this case ignorance is not bliss! What you said is exactly true…people think they’re sharing with a friends. When I worked in the court I sometimes had to find people…it’s shocking how simple it is…and here are flosstubers just laying it right out there. Children’s names and ages should never ever be said…not to mention their full name and birthday. OY. Don’t get me started. On the upside…I love that we can share our love of cross stitch this way. Pam
You are cracking me up about the ideas that shoukd wanted through and go die. I can’t believe I am repeatedly making the same mistakes🤦♀️ I picked up some diamont too, because dmc metallic was such a pleasure 🤷♀️ Did you try the tea iced? I like the fruity ones iced, too. I got to show one pic of the back of my grand baby on IG😂😂 I try not to even say the exact age or birth month- of my kids either. Impressive low number of WiPs! I need to do the Noel HoD one that I have. 💕💕seahorse celebration💕💕
Thanks. This daughter doesn’t even do Facebook anymore. I know it’s just curiosity and interest to know about the personal life of social media friends but, really, it’s just not universally safe.
Love your finishes and your progress on your wips. Congratulations on becoming a grandma. Happy stitching!
