The Ouachita Trail is absolutely on my radar….looking at a possible 2024 thru hike! Haven’t been able to get ahold of the trail guide. It’s been out of stock for awhile now. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching and subscribing, Jesus! Best tips I can give are: - get the guidebook, take pics of the summaries - get the AllTrails+ app, maps/gps work in airplane mode….saved my butt from going off trail several times - get a good, rechargeable headlamp for night hiking….there are “cat eye” reflective markers on the trees in the eastern half - join the FB group to stay updated on re-routes….the folks in their are super helpful and friendly Hope this helps! If you haven’t already, check out my vids from 2022: Lone Star Hiking Trail Thru-Hike Part I th-cam.com/video/LKlUVToBG4Y/w-d-xo.html Lone Star Hiking Trail - Review (Thorns & Roses) th-cam.com/video/kwI3gL4dNcA/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
The short answer is, yes, I plan on creating and releasing more vids this year. It probably won’t be until Oct/Nov, though. Unfortunately, just shortly after I released the 2023 update, we had a medical emergency in our family that desperately needed our full attention. We’re still dealing with on-going medical issues but hoping to get a break come the fall. Thanks for watching! Cheers!
After you check the hikes off your list, take a look at the Ouachita Trail in OK/AR….223 miles long but easily sectioned. It’s a good one FYI.

Hello from Texas. I'm planning on doing the Lone star trail with my brother. Any tips on markers and maps? That's my weakness 😂.
Thank you.
