Thanks for the great demo! This is definitely next on my to-buy list. A single box that gives me a workable drum machine, a 303, and a suite of effects for $200? One that I can throw in my purse and play on the bus or on my lunch break? Sold!
Seems intuitive! On a different subject, I would love to see “VolcaNiced Remixed” - a channel or series in which each video is a “condensed”remix of a single jam into a more conventional length song with more conventional pacing. You provide so many cool riffs and fills in each jam, there would be so much to work with!
One minute after I started this video my wife entered the room to tell me she hates the jam coming from the speakers ha ha ha. She does not understand us! I listened it fully and like some parts a lot, and it really looks and sounds like Roland which is good. I think this device will pair nicely with the sharper sounds of the MicroFreak.
Very intuitive I mastered it in about an hour every thing works the way u expect it too but took me ages trying to figure out pattern chaining then I realized it can't do that hopefully they update the firm wear cause that's an essential on a bit of gear like this cuing by hand can work but if your jamin with other gear it's nippy especially when dropping and adding drums
Congratulations. Yeah every of this little aira fellows is magic. Especially behind the layout. There are tons of functions in the background you have to find. Hopefully they fix the chaining. I wish you luck

@@Volcaniced No doubt about that.🎶 There are many good things to be said about simplicity. The Compacts seems to be some pretty intuitive little synths/sequencers, without too much menu diving and hidden features to spoil the mood and workflow of a jam...😀👍
Sounds good 🎉 It's a pity that there are so many restrictions on the tonality and number of sounds, although there is little hope for UPDATES from Roland.

Damn, where are all the powerful Roland companies with their Mc groove boxes, Korg Electribe EMX1 in iron cases and saturation lamps, do they really feel sorry for the iron and have a little patience to please us with something truly new? Thanks for the video
If you want something different in a sturdy metal case, you might consider the Erica LXR-02. It's a nice little drum machine that can peel the paint off your walls.
I like how this unit has sidechain ability. But - can it sidechain an external source too? Like, if you linked up the J-6 could the T-8 sidechain the J-6 too?
Manual is a must, no? Did you figure out the sub step probability feature that’s separate from the step probability and requires the accent button? I wouldn’t even have known to look for that without the manual!
I found a lot of things cause the usability of the synths is normally the same. Hold.this + that .. and so on. If I do not figure out something without the manual the synth doesn't fit and I return it.
Thanks for the video. I bought the T-8 last week and I am having a lot of fun with it. Excuse the stupid question, but when I sync with a volca (using sync in and out, not midi) the T-8 runs at half the bpm. Have you encountered this and is there some setting on T-8 to resolve the issue? Cheers
Unfortunately you got 1 audio out. But you can use the rythm section without the bas section and the other way round. And you have separate FX sends per Instrument. It's pretty neat.
Looks fun, cool video! Having a circuit rhythm, volcano sample and drums, not sure about this one... I'm however interested in the synth one. Did you get it too?
No. The go mixer rund on batteries but for the T-8 I closed the stereo in channel and I missed to open it up again for the next jam I recorded cause it was late and I was tired...stupid..
@@Volcaniced sorry it was not a comment regarding your video but just a general comment on the item. Roland just keeps churning out the same old sounds rebranding them in new boxes. All getting a bit boring now

So cool, the bug coming to watch and then flying off.

how do u change from sawtooth to square any ideas anybody please
There is an option in the Menu
