Biggest thing with ACC tire pressures are critical with optimum for hot dry tire temp being 27.5 psi and wet tire hot temp being 30.0. Usually takes about 2+ laps to really get your tires up to temp from cold starting pressures. With your time multiplier you also did not factor in that the Sun going down and the track temps cooling that it would also lower your tire temps even more. That alone would affect your grip levels and pace in the race. Just another little detail that adds to the realism of teams chasing tire temps and pressures throughout a race session or weekend. Practice at a different time or weather condition than what is in the race and everything will be somewhat different as a result. Really want the graphics and details to blow your mind find a scenario where you have a decent breeze as part as the weather and pull off to the side of the track and watch the individual limbs on the trees in a wooded area swaying in the wind. The attention to details in ACC is superb. I think overall ACC is the best as far as realism, driving and on track physics, graphic quality and in game details combined all within one title. The drawback if there is one is the limited car classes and only having official series tracks as a limitation. Rumor mill claims an American track pack will be also coming as a DLC in the near future. Biggest thing though is if you actually figure the cost difference between owning and playing iRacing vs ACC and as long as you really like the GT cars ACC is a much better choice in my opinion. The title that will be coming out probably within the next two years or so that will be the bomb is a new AC and if it follows the original AC gameplan as far as car classes and tracks and retains the ACC type of detail and gameplay that will be the game that I believe most studios will be trying to catch up and compete with. iRacing needs to modernize the game engine they are using and quit having a decade old looking graphics and bring their features more into line with other modern titles as after all when it comes to racing sims for the majority they are by far the game that cost its customers the most. People argue that iRacing for its online racing and ranking system makes it worth that higher cost, BUT if you are into road racing GT class cars since now there are a couple of popular 3rd party services ranking and hosting online ACC races that advantage to iRacing has narrowed greatly recently in the online aspect. Now of course if you are into Nascar and any type of oval racing then iRacing is still the go to title with no competition.
Great points. Couldn’t agree more. So much to learn and remember in ACC with all the variables. I’m looking forward to the new AC. Hope it’s just like or better than ACC. I’m not a fan at all of the current AC.
They both have their pluses and minuses…in my opinion it comes down to what a person prefers…like Chevy/Ford or Porsche/BMW they all do things well it’s just personal preference…for me I’m just glad we have so many good Sims to choose from now. Variety is good.

So what’s the verdict? At least on that track and with that car… Physics, sound and FFB? scales from 1-10. iR vs. ACC

What I don’t like about acc is the setup process and having to be in optimal psi seems annoying
I hear ya. I can’t do a setup to save my life. Wish they had fixed setups
