- The eastern pier with adjacent breakwater at Nieuwpoort harbour entrance proved a fantastic playing ground once more! The P&H Leo comes alive in disturbed waters and it was a joy to play here! The closer to the pier and breakwater, the steeper the waves! Enjoy the ride!
No likes, no comments, no views? What an outrage, how can great videos like this be up for two whole minutes and not been enjoyed by thousands?!

Hi Kathy, Please send your friend our regards and a swift recovery! Yes, the surf is addictive but also something to be carefull in. The waves won't stop because we capsize. Best is to start very slow, on small waves (about 50cm) and build up. The fun factor is equal to big waves, so don't worry. Greetings from the other side of the planet!

@@Northseakayak Nah, in fact I live on the North Shore in New England USA where viz is typically way under 5m. The fish are relatively ignorant around here though and if you can't see them, they can't see you. Taking the yak around an island in Rockport, MA tomorrow 06/08/24 looking for Tautog and Striped bass. Wish me luck!

I have only tried Surfing on an Ocean Kayak Malibu 2 sit on top. Spent more than half of the time being thrown off. Brilliant fun. Hopefully I will be more successful with my Tourer.
That was one heck of a save when the wave pitched you over and I was not expecting to see you then rolling back up as the wave dissipates. Lots of Skill and Practice.

Thank you! We also started with a sit-on-top kayak back in the days where we had the same story as you in surf.... but as long as you have fun, you are learning out of each capsize. So keep going! It is all about training. And it is possible to surf a sit-on-top kayak. Have fun and be safe!💪😎

That was a great show to watch! Sylvie was excellent because it’s not easy to frame and follow a kayaker in the waves. How long is your paddle? It looks very short.
Thank you, cheers from Sylvie as well! Paddle is a little shorter than 2metres. We started using shorter shafts about a year or 2 ago. Before it was 2m10cm.

is deze kant van de pier geen militair domein waar ze schietoefeningen doen richting de zee? of beschermd natuurgebied? te voet mag je er allezins niet door dacht ik. Er ligt daar inderdaad wel een goeie bank vaak
Ja dat is correct, strand en duinen is natuurgebied. We vertrekken daarom uit de haven, en landen enkel op het strand net buiten die zone. Bij schietoefeningen (was het geval nu niet) mogen we er niet varen.
what's the thing around your neck? is it just the jacket or some floating thing?
Not sure what you are pointing at, but could it be the collar with integrated hood of my dry suit?
