How cool would a Drive-Inn Theatre look back in there? You could line up the cars like there are people watching a show. I have a Drive-Inn Theatre Museum, and if I had the space and access to a bunch of cool rides I would definitely do that.

I like the idea 💡 of putting a truck 🚚 bed 🛌 😴 behind the Bus 🚌 at Flore Level, Then Cut ✂️ the Roof of a nother Bus 🚌 to hang over the Truck Bed...
Then pute a 20 foot Container of the back cut ✂️ down to floor level... Line with plastic and fill with water 💧 for the Grand Kid's.... FUN TIME

@ 8 . 56 here...... the red custom 500 4 door car..... my real folks had 3 of these..... always loved these awesome tail lights in these car's !!!! ANYWHOOO my folks had a rare convertable 2 door & a 4 door wagon....... the neighbor & my folks had a plan & an cool 1 off idea...... they took an... L T D Wagon & the normal 4 door custom 500 & made into 1 very very cool ride.......THE 3 RD ONE WAS JUST A PLAIN JANE CUSTOM 500..................
I see so many things I could build and never have to leave the yard for anything but fresh fuel. I am surprised you haven't started a garden space around the bus

Why didn’t you use your sawsall to cut the hole in the roof ? I use mine to cut holes all the time, saves your hands . I know your good with it , your always cutting stuff . 👍🇨🇦

Use a few pieces of diamond plate or small hoods to reflect the heat back into bus areas. I see a automotive there there with car seats beds buckets and other stuff to keep it simple
It would give the kids a place to come once in awhile too. Or just to eat meals occasionally. It's a great start.

You should seriously consider painting that big block of cheese green and throw some of that army netting over it...then it won't stick out like a sore thumb.
Also , if you run across an aluminum staircase you could put it on the back of the bus for easy access through the backdoor...

You , a friend , 5gals. of house paint , a couple of rollers and 30mins. , BAM !! ....It's all done.
Get some fiberglass insulation out of an old oven to replace the insulation you removed from around the stovepipe. 👍
Hi Silas, My name is Rob, north Florida. You stated used tire prices there . In Florida right NOW a used tire is @ $40 in date and $20 out of date. Small tire shops here BUY trailer loads of takeoffs. Surely you could sell a LOT of used tires here. I understand, you work alone, you can only do so much.
Good day to you Silas! Just have to follow along on the progress on your cabin. Such a shame you're so far away, we could knock out those seats in no time. I started out my first job at 14 years old, working in a junk yard, so you could say it's in my blood. That was 1966, paid a dollar an hour, tax free. My partner and I owned a small yard a few years, until we lost the lease on the property. Now I'm old, retired, semi-disabled but still get around. I'd be happy to be a second set of hands for you, if I could. Still strong, can still lift a couple hundred pounds, just don't walk well. Sure wish I could come work with you! Never met you, but bet I'd get along well with you. As always, best to you and yours!

An awning would be neat. Scrap sheet metal roofing and scraped pallet racking uprights or beams for the frame.

Are you using a double wall stove pipe? If not, they have those metal radiator heat exchangers that wrap around the pipe on Amazon. Could you use one of those stake truck beds for a deck off the rear door of the bus?
If it was me I would move in permanently, I would be in my element living and working in that environment..

In the future cut the exterior hole about 1.5” smaller than the pipe and the flare the exterior metal upward to help with rain entering the hole .
if ya happen to get an old camper with a roll out Awning you can add it over the front door section of the bus just to make a shade area when your camping out.. be nice i'd think

You can always just torch the heads off the bolts to get the seats out. A lot less work than using an impact.
And also very flammable considering they’re on top of rubber and wood

I turned a Bus into a Cabin a few years ago, and I put in a old Potbelly Wood Stove, but I ran the Stove Pipe out a Window and turned it up and over the roof just so it was taller than the Roof, It worked great and lasted many many years! Keep up the great work and great Videos!
