I saw one video on here where the girl was a princess descended from I can't remember who but it was somebody like 400 years ago and the resemblance was so striking that you would think that the woman was her grandmother or her mother as opposed to the numbers of great back that she was.

My great grandfather, Fred Holden was the manager of the Canterbury Theater during 1895-1900. Our family has a playbill with Charley and my Grandfather, Cyril on the bill. This was excellent. My wife recognized you while visiting London last week as you about to enter a restaurant, we said a quick hello and regretted not asking to take a picture with you and not offering to buy you a beer.
I'm 60 next and we were fed beef dripping sandwiches as kids. They are still around today to buy and taste almost the same as they did back in the day! I still eat them now lol. When you're poor, you appreciate life as you get older if you can improve on what you were brought up to, unlike the kids today that get everything handed to them on a plate, we were and still are hard grafters and can stand much of what we're put through in todays world, whereas the younger ones haven't got a clue, they feel life/material things are owed to them and they hate working for anything!

Spencer and Kiera certainly possess some of their grandfather's characteristics, in particular the smile, sense of humour and sensitivity; and Spencer does the Chaplin walk effortlessly. Charlie Chaplin would be so immensely proud of them, and you Joolz for making this superb video and giving us all such a treat. Not only have you given us such an insight into the life of a very special man and his comic genius, you also did great service to his grandchildren who I'm sure will never forget their experience with you. The workhouses, what a terribly cruel way to treat people, who were completely destitute, while Britain was the wealthiest country in the world at that time.
You want to read about the Irish Workhouses..there was plenty of food at the time in Ireland during the Famine..it was shipped to the soldiers in India etc..same on ye murderers!
Wonderful to see his Grandchildren who both have his beautiful sparkly eyes, proudly remembering their Grandfather who was a great World Cinema legend, probably the greatest, and loved by so many millions all over the world. Chaplin was a genius and went deeper than most actors, especially after what he had seen in his hard life before he became such a big star.. Excellent Doc byJoolz once again.
Hi Joolz, this was an interesting detailed account of Charlie Chaplin’s life. My father was born in Bow, his fathers’ father in Bethnal Green. What I am about to add is the true account of how Charlie got his walk! My great grandfather used to be on the buses, or rather the driver of a team of horses, his conductor or ‘clippy’ & his good friend/drinking partner was nun other than Charlie Chaplin. This was one of his many jobs, but the last one before he left for America. Apparently he was always saying he was going to be famous and juggled the busses while pursuing his wanted career. Now getting back to his walk… when discussing this with my ole man, we came to the conclusion that the travel motion of the swaying bus & the uneven tram lines in the road, caused him to sway from side to side whilst giving out the tickets. I have only just come across you on TH-cam and can’t tell you how much I luv your walks. I know this was two years ago when you posted it, but I just had to comment with an account that is rarely known. …oh yer, while I’m at it, I haven’t seen a walk of any pie n mash shops! If you haven’t done what’s left of them & plan on doing one, I would be honoured to come sit in the background & eat in every one of them that’s left!, You’re great mate, keep it up.
Great work Joolz! Probably one of your best videos. Kiera is so beautiful with amazing cheekbones and you could never mistake Spencer;s smile. How lovely, friendly and natural they both were too.

Crikey. Brilliant. Brings back memories of Grandad. I think she's after your little kites Joolz
OMG this was amazing. Seeing these children looking just like Charlie Chaplin wow....amazing.
What a wonderful virtual tour. You helped them connect to so many parts of their grandfather's history, well done Joolz, truly inspiring stuff. Thank you very much
it was good watching this vid again!!!
Absolutely brilliant.
Cheers Joolz and those jolly good, spiffing Chaplins!! 🙂
I can only reiterate the words of others, a truly spiffing episode full of love and nostalgia. My favourite video by far. 🎩🎩
The Chaplin's siblings grand Children are very simple and modest, raised in humility. This family knows where they come from
You are right ....well raised, just like genius himself .
Another cracking video from Joolz Guides! Is that Charlie's bowler that you have on your noggin?
I'm an American who is an enormous fan of your channel. Your videos are top flight. I love pouring myself a glass or two of Cabernet Sauvignon and enjoying some English cheddar while becoming absorbed in your storytelling. Well done, sir.
Great and informative video.
How emotional must that have been for Charlie's grandchildren.
I learn so much watching theses. Thanks Joolz
Wow! I had no idea what Charles Chaplin went through as a child. So sad! But this was very enlightening, thank you so much!
Great video and an amazing story, thank you.
Fantastic, Joolz, thank you! I can't commend it enough. If it had been twice as long it would have seemed too short!
The workhouses, what a terribly cruel way to treat people, who were completely destitute, while Britain was the wealthiest country in the world at that time.
No the workhouses were very popular. Once people got a place they refused to leave. Don't believe the fake news.
They weren't popular they were dreaded and a last resort place. Don't believe the fake comments.
@@ria1636 The problem at the workhouses was they couldn't get residents to leave. It was a secure, communal environment.
You want to read about the Irish Workhouses..there was plenty of food at the time in Ireland during the Famine..it was shipped to the soldiers in India etc..same on ye murderers!
Britain was the wealthiest country in the world at the time precisely because they were tough.
Really enjoyed this one Joolz. Learned a lot about Charlie Chaplin, things I never knew. Another stunning video guide. Many thanks.
Iv'e seen all your vlogs and this one one is hands down your Best! You just keep upping your game!
If you haven’t done what’s left of them & plan on doing one, I would be honoured to come sit in the background & eat in every one of them that’s left!,
You’re great mate, keep it up.
Amazing ! you've done it again , very enjoyable !!!!
Fantastic vídeo!
Brilliant, Joolz. Lovely to see ol' Charlie's grand children.

Outstanding vlog.
Great work Joolz! Probably one of your best videos. Kiera is so beautiful with amazing cheekbones and you could never mistake Spencer;s smile. How lovely, friendly and natural they both were too.
Absolute quality. Respect to Joolz for paying homage to arguably the greatest movie actor of all time .
I loved this walk you did, Charlie Chaplains best pice of work for me was the final speech in The Great Dictator. It’s so powerful and moving.
I love Limelight
THIS IS GREAT☺☺
This is the best tour video by far. Great job in research and filming. Thanks to Spencer and Kiera for sharing.
Joolz you are a very talented chap. The web is filled with walking tours of London, but nothing comes close to yours. I love your wicked sense of humour. You set the bar very high for others.
Joolz this needs to be on tv - such rich content
Yes, pity they don't care, isn't it. I'm not sure why but I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It's getting viewed at least!
Joolz Guides - London History Walks - Travel Films You probably know already, but you can upload them to Amazon Prime video . I've heard of tubers actually finding a new audience through that. And thanks for this great episode! :)
That was awesome and a privilege to watch. Thanks everybody !
